Shit, how good is this. I grew up in Sydney, Australia and in the late 70's I got around to see all the great Ausie bands around the place. Not acknowledged enough now, but in another 20 years people will know how brilliant the times were. Tat's were one of those bands. I remember 'five finger discounting' Assault & Battery and Thin Lizzy's, Johnny the Fox from a local music store after school ..........best bit of criminality ever. Both bands still my favorites.
I got into the band in around 1979 or 80 having got the first album. Went to the gig at Nottingham Rock City in July 1981. Fucking mental...loud, dirty rock n roll and still lives in my memory as one of the best gigs ever! Thanks for sharing this!

How lucky am I to have seen them live a few times in the 1970s. First time I think was 1977 as a 16 year old at the Melbourne Exhibition Building, where there was some sort of big youth thing on there with displays and bands, loudest band I have ever heard, and just awesome.
Had the pleasure of meeting a few of the guys over the years, nice genuine blokes, no bullshit. Get the feeling they'd give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.

Butcher and Fast Eddy sounded pretty damn good too. like how Angry modified that one line about Eddy's sister to her becoming a prostitute. that really is some gang type shit
In Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome their lead singer played Iron Bar. The guy that gets killed at the end of the movie and shoots the bird to Max😂 curious if you knew that
Their history in Aussie book about rock bands.. Angry got the singer's job ... At rehearsals under an old Sydney house. Band had to stand in holes they'd dug into dirt. As they were all tall guys.. Angry was only one who could run around and not hit his head under floorboards.Drummer had bigger hole to include drum kit.
Axl Rose has a 5 octave vocal range which is incredibly rare. This means he can sing some of the older songs that Brian can't get to, and he also has the experience of playing stadium gigs. Angry Anderson had a great rock voice, but his range was quite limited and more so now with age.
