    I found your videos after looking to many other videos from other channels; the level of detail you do is the best. I´m surprised about the improvement you achieved on a new reel, one would think they come out perfect out of the box.

      Not the case. I have started using the low profile reels for fresh water and have 6 NEW Gen 4 Revo SXs. Love the reels but one of them screams in a bad way when you cast it. I assume it's the bearings. You never know what comes out of the factory.

    I subscribed simply because the tutorial was easy to follow and the camera was actually focused on each part you were working on. My eyes are not what they used to be and that
    is a big help. I too have used some version or the other of these reels for many decades, and although I own and use many other reel manufacturers These will always have a special place in the lineup. Thanks for taking an interest in them. Your chrome rocket is a gem, I love mine too.

    I’ve been using Abu Garcia reels for 40 years. I fish mostly salt water 95% of the time with these type of reels. You may get more views if you show the difference between Abu penn Shimano and Diawa. Showing the difference between round reels-and low profile reels. The majority of people out there that are buying these low profile Reels I have no idea that most of them have a plastic brake plate that the main gear attaches to. Also showing that Abu has China made round reels that are not as durable or well-made that have this plastic brake plate and knowing the difference of those and what to look out for would be helpful. Most people are purchasing or buying reels that are made with tons of bearings. I’ve seen 70 pound plus fish being hauled in with Abu 5000 c that have no bearings. Going over gear ratio low and high what they do for you is helpful as well. I believe you’re very knowledgeable and good at what you do and I believe you could do this without any bias

      Great advice! I was doing reel repair for several years as a hobby and had to stop because it was trying to turn into a business and I worked full time. I do have a Penn 310 and a Shimano TR100 I could start there. The UA-cam audience it’s tough. There is so much content it makes it hard for the little guy. I really appreciate the comment. Have a great day.

    Can this reel go without the anti-reverse dog?

    • @abugarciareelrepairandmain8684
      @abugarciareelrepairandmain8684  3 роки тому

      Yes it has an anti reverse roller bearing in the handle the dog is a back up. I would leave it in unless it's damaged or something. I have them in stock if you need one.

    What is the orange bead on the front of the level wind

    • @abugarciareelrepairandmain8684
      @abugarciareelrepairandmain8684  2 роки тому

      The bead is just a plastic bead from a craft store that children use to make crafts and fishermen use when using plastic worms.

    You may want to put some Chanel’s that you follow on here . Other reel repair or fishing Chanel’s. Even reel review Chanel’s. Being a little bit of a instigator with the title of the video. Like( are blank reels worth the hype) .or ( why are blank reels lacking in quality ) . If you only have 100 or 200 dollar budget how not to get screwed . It seems that a lot of people like content that is controversial. Others like me are fewer that don’t care for it. The last thing I want to here on any video or hear in general is the quote ( let’s go) but it would get some attention on you tube for sure in a title . Pointing out hype and pointing out real quality will go far. Just being consistent with 1or 2 quality content videos a week . In a year or two you could have 25 to 50000 followers.
