hello Thanks for a useful video I have a one question about installation when did you install the shocks with the canisters flipped down, any problem wasn't happened?
Hey bro, what are the actual part numbers for the OHLINS STX 36 Gas Canister shocks you purchased for your Bobber? I own a 2019 that I've made 7 modifications on and I NEED to replace my rear shocks to keep from being tossed off the ass end of my back when hitting some of the pot holes and lame 6-8 inch patch bumps placed on our roads by the DOT incompetents. Thx,
Here is the link to Ohlins USA for the shocks: www.ohlinsusa.com/parts/2015-2018-indian-scout-street-s36-twin-shocks-in-524# . I changed to a springer seat which helps with rough roads and have a video on that also.
You can order Ohlins with springs for your weight, set the sag(preload), adjust the compression and rebound until you get them adjust to your liking. I setup mine years ago and honestly don't remember.
Beautiful bike and thanks for the review. How have the Ohlins held up over the last year? Also, do you feel the Corbin seat or the Ohlins have made the bigger impact on overall ride quality? I just bought a new 2018 Bobber leftover and I'm feeling the pain. What would you suggest investing first?
Thanks! The Ohlins and Corbin are doing good. I would suggest the Corbin first and just adjust pre-load(springs) the stock shocks so they do not bottom out first. Enjoy your Bobber, I am sure you will.
Question about mounting these shocks with the canister on the bottom, have you had any negative affects from it? I have a scout bobber and was thinking of getting these but I have a saddle bag similar to yours. In terms of space with the saddlebag there, was it really lacking to have the canister mounted upward?
There were no issues when I had the shocks with the canisters flipped down. Have since removed the saddlebag and flipped them up and had to space the right shock out with washers to keep it from hitting the fender bracket. It would most likely hit the saddlebag also.
I hear conflicting things about taking the bobber long distance but it seems like you are doing hundreds of miles with no issues!? Is it a bike you can ride all day with the upgraded seat and shocks and your back not kill you? Ha. Thinking about getting one but I need a bike I can easily do 250-300 miles one way on some weekends. Thanks for any input!
With better shocks and a better seat 200-300 miles a day is not a problem for me. I rode almost 4,000 miles in 12 days to Sturgis and back this year, last day was 759 miles. It is just how you setup the bike and your tolerance for long days in the saddle. The Scout is a fun motorcycle 👍
joe parfent I bought them from sscustomcycle.com but, I don’t see them list on the site currently. Give them a call, they had the best price I found and shipped fast. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Another upgrade added to the list of future mods!
I will probably make your list longer, haha!
Whew, beautiful scenery and ride!
Yup, it was fun!
Looks like a good upgrade all things considered.
Thanks, happy with the upgrade.
Looks like a great ride man!
Thanks! It was a fun 900 mile ride. I have more video from Sonora and Tahoe I will be working on.
Nice set up. What did you use to remove the badges and all that glue?
My video should answer your question

Perfect. Thanks. Judging from the scenery I take it you’re from San Jose
hello
Thanks for a useful video
I have a one question about installation
when did you install the shocks with the canisters flipped down, any problem wasn't happened?
I installed the canisters down because of the sadllebag interference. No issues after thousands of miles.
@@MeatballRebel thanks for useful information!
Thanks for the review. Your ride is looking SWEET! Those damn whitewalls are growing on me! thanks for the Vid!
Thanks! When are you getting whitewalls, haha!
Meatball Rebel Might be sooner than later!

Excellent, thanks, I have the 1920 Leather Indian Solo Seat and I'm awaiting my Mother Road Custom's 13"X11"spring seat.
How do you set your shocks? How many clicks from the softest?
