My name is Brendan Meyers, a former collegiate football player, author, guest speaker, and exercise specialist. With my Exercise Physiology degree from FAU and years of experience personal training/training with professional athletes, I have formed a philosophy that accelerates the unlocking of your athletic and aesthetic potential. From 119 lbs. to 205 lbs., established 2 million + family, and degree from FAU, I am living proof that anything is possible! Brendan i have seen in your videos that you dont eat much protein after workout.I have heard many people claiming that after workout you should eat a lot of protein and immediately ( 30 min -1 hour) as a result, you gain muscle.So i have to ask... is it truth?

He eats a lot of protein. After a workout you should replenish your body with amino acids and a healthy meal. He's trying to get down to 198 and super lean and he said in his previous video that he needs to consume like 400g of protein a day. I don't think your body starts recovering right away after a workout. Plus he's still active later in the day so it's better for him to fuel up on energy. His smoothies consists of veggies which hold protein in them to and he makes those after his workouts sometimes. Your body recovers while you're asleep and that's why he eats protein in his last meal that is a lot of calories. I could be wrong, but that's just what I think.
Hitting your minimum fat macros and protein for the day is much more important than having protein after a workout. I intermittent fast and eat from 12pm to 6pm. Cutting and bulking 10% surplus or deficit. Minimal muscle loss max strength gains and no worries about losing 10 lbs of muscle from not eating immediately after my workout or every 3 hours from some random fitness instructor like I was first told when I started working out
the time doesnt matter, u have to get a daily protien amount. normaly it's your body weight(kgs) times 2. exmp. im 77kg so i should eat ~144 grams a day
also you have to add carbs to an after workout meal so the carbs would supply the energy u lost from ur body and the protien will go to bulding the muscels

Hey Brendon. After when I work out do I have to be hurting the next day. Because when I first started I hurt the next day and then a few weeks later I wasn't hurting e next day after a work out. So are u suppose to hurt the next day after a work out. Also do u still build muscle even though u ain't hurting ??? Thanks

Hey Brandon, I'm going to be working a job that requires 4 hours of nonstop physical activity every day. I'm super slim (6 feet and I'm 135 lbs), and I want to put on weight, but I also want to train my endurance to make my job easier to complete. Do I just down tons of carbs each day? Do I mix strength training with size training? Any advice is appreciated.
