It was really refreshing that Chris didn't blame the audience for not liking his film, or blame anyone else for the film's bad reviews.

Chris Pine is underrated** in so many regards. On another note, I wish you would do a collab interview with his dad + Chris. Pine Sr. has no idea how impactful he was on several generations as well. We hold them both in high regard.

Hollywood wants perfection and money but you know what to me perfection is seeing through these adversities and realizing who people really are and how much you can love them no matter what and the love that they give back to you It's hard to find nowadays social media has ruined too much

Josh has the right approach to criticism. It's okay to make a film that many people will dislike, even my least favorite films have an audience who'll embrace them and I would never want to try to take that away from them or the filmmaker. I might think Poolman sucks, but it will have its cult following and the film is for them.

He is one of those that I did not find good or appeal to me earlier in his career. I judged him as this pretty boy, this frat boy but he has done amazing work. I really loved the mystery, noir drama about the Black Daliah, I Am the Night. Underrated AF. That was series that just came and went unnoticed but I loved it! I think I have only seen one of his Star Trek's, did not love. I think this Poolman, or i want it to be a bit like I Am The Night / Inherent Vice / Under The Silver Lake, kind of Mystery. This Paranoid, stoned misunderstanding that disappears when the influence goes after a few hours. I loved Edward Norton's Motherless Brooklyn. I think it's good that we have those.
