It was really refreshing that Chris didn't blame the audience for not liking his film, or blame anyone else for the film's bad reviews.
Time stamp for when he talks about this?
That's called having no ego, my friend. It's refreshing.
D&D film was really good and definitely deserved a lot more.
It's immediately evident that he's got a great attitude.
Gotta say that given the reviews I hadn’t planned on seeing Poolman, but hearing Chris talk about it I have my ticket for tomorrow night preordered
Nice! Let us know what you think of it please?
@@LazyEyeNZ will do!
Same here, even if it’s not great I gotta support him
Love the movie, just saw with a friend and we both want to go see it again.Audience in nyc laughing throughout.
Chris Pine is underrated** in so many regards. On another note, I wish you would do a collab interview with his dad + Chris. Pine Sr. has no idea how impactful he was on several generations as well. We hold them both in high regard.
I saw Poolman and loved it. It's silly, strange, clever (very clever) and thoroughly enjoyable
Saw Poolman a few weeks ago at a screening in New York that both Chris and Josh were at and thought it was fun as hell! Quirky, funny, and a great performance by Pine himself.
I can listen to him talk all day. He is just so calm and cool
Mr. Pine has always been my favorite ‘Chris’. I’ve had very severe acne right out of college and it was not fun in the dating world. Thanks for your words, man! You’re the best, Chris!
Wow Chris pine is such a cool dude, he is so down to earth and true to himself. I love his confidence in being himself and great for him on making this movie and doing what he loves to do!!!! I will def go see it! Sounds like it’s a fun watch! ❤ Chris Pine❤️
Chris Pine is the best Chris, but the Babs & Lucy on screen… the best part of the whole thing 😂♥️
One of the most handsome actor I admire, CHRIS PINE. Missing his look on Wonderwoman or Startrek. 😍😍
Hollywood wants perfection and money but you know what to me perfection is seeing through these adversities and realizing who people really are and how much you can love them no matter what and the love that they give back to you It's hard to find nowadays social media has ruined too much
A macguffin to hang out with these people is such a wonderful sentiment
Chris Pine seems like such a nice guy. I feel bad that POOLMAN is getting so many negative reviews. As always, a fun and entertaining interview Josh. Thank you!
I adore Chris Pine. He is a fantastic actor that is so easy going. ❤️
Chris pine is a very humble genuine guy great interview 👍
Seeing it tonight regardless of reviews since I love the big Lebowski, under the silver lake and stoner noir stuff. Even if it’s not great it’ll be fun I think
Such a delightful human being. Love you chris
Josh has the right approach to criticism. It's okay to make a film that many people will dislike, even my least favorite films have an audience who'll embrace them and I would never want to try to take that away from them or the filmmaker. I might think Poolman sucks, but it will have its cult following and the film is for them.
It’s in these thoughts and discussions of criticisms where people can learn to be okay with differing opinions people have ❤
Can’t wait to see the film. Thanks so much. Chris should be a leading man. Those blue eyes are mesmerizing❣️ Plus Cary Grant was wonderful in his Brioni suit for North by Northwest. He was 55 years old for that film. So you go Chris Pine!
I love Hollywood history and stories they are pretty fascinating. Can't wait to see his movie.
Honestly the movie looks great. Can’t wait to see it
I wish some day Chris get to work with some of the actors he always mention he admires. Hope he have taht dream come true. Such as Harrison Ford
I love his attitude.
He is one of those that I did not find good or appeal to me earlier in his career. I judged him as this pretty boy, this frat boy but he has done amazing work. I really loved the mystery, noir drama about the Black Daliah, I Am the Night. Underrated AF. That was series that just came and went unnoticed but I loved it! I think I have only seen one of his Star Trek's, did not love. I think this Poolman, or i want it to be a bit like I Am The Night / Inherent Vice / Under The Silver Lake, kind of Mystery. This Paranoid, stoned misunderstanding that disappears when the influence goes after a few hours. I loved Edward Norton's Motherless Brooklyn. I think it's good that we have those.
As a person born and raised in LA/NoHo in the 80s/ Im looking forward to this film.
I loved the movie and really hope Chris gets to make more movies
Come.on Josh your dog on your wallpaper , on your smartphone ! Unbelievable. Great chat with the great Chris Pine ! Well done !
What a beautiful man
He’s soooo cool
I was anxiously waiting for "something" from april and this from may just broke my heart 😢
😂😂😂😂
he was great in the film Stretch always wondered why wasn't credited he had a big role
Great interview, thank you!
44:52 Doppelgangers story
wow THANK YOU for speaking about acne. It traumatized me badly during college and it wasn't until my late 20s that I was able to get in under control. Truly horrific experience that made me miss a TON of my early adulthood
They better do another stark trek with pine.
they are! 😏
I will continue to support him
Solid
I want to see the movie tomorrow! Sounds like what Tarantino wanted to do w The Critic! I had trrrible acne too Chris!!! it was traumatic!
5:32 right 😂😂 !
Not gonna lie, while I'm sure Poolman isn't for everyone, the couple reviews i skimmed were so oozing with disdain and hyperbolic, they made me want to see it. Unwitting promoters lol i liked his Neo comparison on wanting to dodge the critics' scorn. It should stream well from the cast alone.
Who else remembers him in this means war?
Love that movie.
@@LazyEyeNZ it’s funny?
Haven' t seen it but I remember Levowski being panned upon release as well. So I'm interested.
35:02 lol
Love Kurt Russell
Awww! Dangit! I wish I had known about the Q&A before! Also, I think we are all tired of waiting to hear what they're gonna do with the next Star Trek! ..... Like, why don't they just make the movie for goodness' sake???!!!! .... And he's all worried about the pot! LOL No one noticed the pot, Chris! LOL Good interview. Long.... But good. I'm actually interested in seeing Poolboy now.
Saw it a few weeks back. I wasn’t aware that it was getting destroyed in the reviews. There’s nothing really egregious about the movie. It’s just sort of a “regular movie”, for lack of a better term.
31:56 The OC story
God bless you ❤
Just go conquer Broadway dude. You go it!
Hes turning into Big Lebowski.
It's sad cuz society can't see through things like that everybody wants someone that's perfect. I didn't want that. And after she got out of high school she didn't have it anymore she was the most beautiful thing to me before and after. Don't judge a book by it's cover
I want to marry Chris Pine
A moment of silence for the financier he mentioned.
if they ever make a GRIZZLY ADAMS movie, Chris could play the guy.
Annoyingly the AMC theater near me isn’t even offering Poolman to view and it’s only May 12th, what’s up with that?!?
Chris Pine's final form is Jeff Bridges
Chris may suffer from anxiety cause if you notice his face inever focus the screen he s always somewhere else when he speaks.
Bit random, but is Chris using his therapists zoom account? Who is DiStafno? XD
I was wondering the same thing who is this DiStefano guy? Id someone has the answer I watn to know too
@@Marujita71hes a comedian… chrissy D
It's sad that people judge you by how you look. My wife that I was with for 27 years had bad acne and people would make fun of her in high school and I saw through that she was the most beautiful person to me. She had acne on her face and I looked at it as a beautiful thing everyone's not perfect. I ended up marrying her and 27 years
He looks like Alec Baldwin somehow
The beard tuffts?
What happened with his look? #notahater
