  • Today's Zoom-fatigued world needs something beyond 2D... 3D immersive worlds like FrameVR are the future of presentations and great for changing things up with meetings and large-scale events.
    There are a ton of platforms like this, but it is currently one of my favorites for a variety of reasons - it's extremely feature-rich and currently in a public beta, so it can show you the power of immersive worlds quickly and easily. I've already been doing meetings in this space (and others for much larger scale networking) so can attest to the power of immersive 3D worlds for feeling "present" with people and having more "random" watercooler style run-ins that we often miss on video conferences.
    This isn't necessarily an in-depth FrameVR tutorial, but it should be enough to get you started.
    Hope you enjoy!
    You can access it via your browser (Chrome ideally), as well as a VR headset for maximum immersion and impact.

      Thank you so much! This is basically the future of presenting. The way we interact in spaces like this, as well as design experiences for our audience / collaborators is going to be quite different than just thinking through the 2D slides. Glad you enjoyed!

    Here's a few question to help me understand how this is used: Would people who attend a presentation in this space have to create an avatar? When they join the space, would they go to a "presentation room" in the environment and play the presentation? And/or you are presenting as either yourself or your avatar? I've signed into Frame VR when you previously talked about it and played around with it. This is a cool way to present, and I'm curious about how it is used, and how it works in reality.

    • @GabrielBaker
      @GabrielBaker 3 роки тому +2

      Hi Terry, Gabe from Frame filling in some of the blanks here. People that attend a Frame do not need to create an account or an avatar. If you don't create an avatar, you come in as a generic robot. You can customize if you want. When you present, you are in the Frame as an avatar but can choose to also bring your webcam or screen share into the environment. Typically, when going to a Frame to check out a presentation, there is someone there leading the presentation, either cycling through scenes in Frame or swiping through pages of a pdf, etc. Feel free to email me directly if you'd like gabe@framevr.io

      @@GabrielBaker Thanks for taking the time to reply as this helps me with understanding how Frame can be used.

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Terry! The way I like to think of it is sort of like a physical space / conference center you'd invite people to. So they indeed look like an avatar when they get in (as Gabe mentions, you are a generic avatar until you customize - so customization is optional). When your audience comes in, depending on the layout in the environment, they are either ALREADY next to the presentation screen (as in the "large gallery" environment) or they have to move around the space to get to the presentation, just like you would in a conference hall. It's all about the experience you want to create for them. For example, as seen at 0:37 in the video, there is a place for a "receptionist" in the "atrium" environment, which simulates a larger event space that you have to navigate (which is ideal for multiple presentations going on at once / larger networking events). It's all about the experience you want to create for your audience. Hope that further helps!

      @@powerpointspice Thank you for getting back to me. Thinking of the presentation as a conference center is a great way to think of this, and will get people excited to attend. Using this platform is becoming clearer to me. Thanks for introducing me to this new way to present.

      You use “scenes” within frame vr - just go to the menu and you will see scenes - or search “framevr frames” to see the exact place to click etc.
