BrightMercy Bright Recorder is so if you want to play in band or chorus, you will have experience reading music, and can relate them to woodwind instruments. I played recorder in 5th grade, I just finished 7th grade and I play trombone, baritone, and ukulele
When you learn a new instrument, you eventually reach a crossroads when you get bored of the instrument for the first time. That is an important threshold to cross. Pushing through and continuing even when it's not 'fun anymore' is what will make you better both at your instrument and as a musician in general. This video just seems to showcase someone who is in love with the idea of playing instruments, but just got bored 20 times.
Can you play the recorder? I have tried to play that bloody thing for years yet it sounds like I'm torturing someone when I play it. Getting to her level definitely takes effort
Leo B oh I'm starting to get the idea! Is it because you failed at playing recorder so you are praising her, for she's better than u? Also, saw u replying other people's comment ”you don't have any proof of your skill”, you don't have any evidence too. So may I assume you suck at playing recorder?
thank you so much you've saving me from failing my music exam right now by playing all your different instruments and listing their names since it's on the criteria to identify different instruments in music analysis I think you are very talented :)
You are super awesome. I have an addiction to instruments, too, but I'm not nearly as good at many of them. Mostly play the piano and accordion. You're inspirational! Thank you for sharing, sempai! :)
Wow! You did amazing! I recently began expanding my “knowledge of music” as my band teacher say, by playing more instruments. You’ve done over 20 and that’s incredible. Don’t let people get under your skin with any dis-compliments or whatnot, you did great!
For all the people saying that she sucks, remember that she is switching from instrument to instrument. Also, almost all of the instruments have different playing techniques, and you need real talent to play that. Good job
@@sailorcandy6633 I never wrote that she was boasting, all I did was provide my honest opinion. And I can do better, in fact, almost anybody that has played over half a year, and putting all they're effort into it can play that much and a lot more. I've been playing violin for six years now so I feel that I can at least make observations based on what mistakes I had made on the past and was corrected on. Namely, everything.
@@sailorcandy6633 oh I was talking only about violin because I cannot guarantee what is good or not with woodwinds and brass, but the general opinion seems to be that she's putting in effort, no doubt, but isn't good and is at a very low level.
I also play 4! (Not including the recorder because I really don’t know how to play it, the harmonica because I don’t know any songs on there, the keyboard for the same reason as the recorder, and the kazoo for the obvious reasons)
I'd argue that you can only play an instrument if you're at an adequate standard at it, not just able to play a simple tune. Plus there's no way you can count the whole recorder family as an individual instrument because they are exactly the same to learn & play. A distinction is to be made between playing an instrument and being able to play an instrument- I play the clarinet as my main instrument but am able to play the bass clarinet as well because it's very similar, but that doesn't mean I play the bass clarinet as well
Everyone with the hate comments. She gave as much effort as she could, I can Almost imagine, no one on this wall, who said something idiotic or rude, could do even half of what she did.

I have to say... Not only are you really good at each instrument, but it's really amazing how you can do such a variety of songs for the instruments! I thought I played a lot (6) but you are way better and you play more! Great job!❤️👍🏽🎵
People are so salty! I get the same comments all the time (I play ten instruments.) I think that you play most of your instruments amazingly! The Flight of the Bumblebee was very impressive. People saying that they would "rather be good at just one" don't get it, and are just trying to make themselves feel better. I love your attitude towards the haters in the description. Don't give up on those instruments. Keep at it girly! Also, I don't want to make it all about me, but if you're wondering, I play guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, violin, cello, mandolin, melodica, harmonica, and kalimba.
CrunchyGamer Girl I play clarinet, saxophone (I’ve played alto, tenor, and bari), trumpet, recorder, piano and melodica (sort of), guitar, mandolin..... not too bad for a 14 year old that started band two years late
You said "would rather be good at just one" as if it was some foreign idea, but that's what you should be doing if you want to become an actual respectable musician.
Change title to "The 20 instruments I own". Literally been playing trumpet for 8 years. I PLAY THE TRUMPET not her. Spit me some improv and then we can talk. No offense tho to the girl at least she can kinda play them
None of them were really good, but she is still a bad ass! 😁😁😁 I like her attitude in the description! I play several instruments myself because I get bored. You keep up girl! I like you! 😁😁
Most of these just made me cringe. I understand that you want to be able to say you can play 20 instruments; everyone does; but it seems like you bought an instrument, found a UA-cam tutorial on how to play the song, put maybe 4 hours of practice into it, and then repeated process. If it’s just for fun why are you posting about it bragging about how many instruments you can play? I would be impressed if you could carry a melody without missing a note/messing up the tone of all of these instruments. But, surprise, most people can’t do that. People saying “she’s not an expert” I don’t expect her to be an expert I’m not an expert on the stuff I play but if you’re gonna post bragging about it learn how to hit the majority of your notes. Edit: and honey, you butchering how much pressure you put on the bow to your violin is n o t due to “the quality of [your] recording equipment”
alright mr steven universe pfp. she's not hating for no reason, she has a point that her playing does not sound good and it's embarrassing to actual musicians that have to see her come through and try to say that she "plays" 20 instruments. she's actually making herself look very intelligent with all the points she's brought up
Every now and then I find that one video of somebody who I wish I knew in real life. Why can't there be more cool musical people like you? I need more musical friends.
To all of you who are saying that recorders are the same instrument and she doesn’t play recorder She only plays 6 recorders including tin whistle and plays 14 other careful instruments.Thats hella talented.
@@wendyjiang6624 did you try to play the recorder? It will sound REALLY bad if you don't know how to blow and finger correctly. She definitely has the basics down
I got to give her props for knowing how to play woodwinds, brass, and strings. It takes so much practice to make the transition from a reed (or flute) to a brass instrument.
It’s better to master one instrument than be “okay” at 20 instruments. I was low key kinda triggered when you played the violin but I’m glad you are at least playing an instrument lol🤪 sorry if this offends you or something it’s just some constructive criticism🤠
Oof same, could tell there wasn't any training really at all. Not using enough bow, squishing the palm against the neck, and bad bow hold, among other things kinda made me feel.... Not good, to say the least.
SAME. I play violin and feel offended when she played the violin like that because it makes people seem it’s so easy to play violin and it’s NOT. I caught like four mistakes when she played violin. And how does she have the time to learn all this? It sounds too good to be true. Just sayin.
why is everyone being so mean to this girl?? She is very talented! who cares if she played a few wrong notes? I mean everyone has their own opinion, I get that, but do you really have to be that rude?
I play saxophone, bass clarinet, and regular b flat clarinet and I thing the embosure could use some work on the the clarinet because it sounds like you aren't putting your teeth on the top hard enough
NO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING embouchure is all about firming your bottom lip and making sure your corners and in, everything else should be relaxed and use fast steady air
My gosh I love the way you play! I'm a string and wind player, (specifically clarinet, flute, guitar and ukulele,) and you play these beautifully. I love the way you play your wind instruments, (and the fife is my favorite) keep rocking on gorgeous
I agree that the recorder is a bona fide instrument. But listing the soprano, alto and tenor recorders as separate instruments is a bit of a stretch. When it comes to repetitive instruments, you might as well include the concert ukulele and the tenor ukulele along with the soprano ukulele - adding to your overall count of instruments. BTW: You can also add the flugelhorn with the Bb trumpet and cornet. The flugelhorn is also a treble clef instrument that shares the exact same fingering chart as the Bb trumpet and cornet. I also suggest that you learn to play the pan flute, slide whistle, glockenspiel, bongo drums, diatonic harmonica, and the mandolin (I have). The mandolin is tuned to the exact same strings as the violin. It would be like playing the violin pizzicato with frets, and held like the ukulele. 😊 🎼 ♫ 🎸 🎺 🎻 🎷 et al
Christopher Tsiliacos I totally agree I think it’s a maturity thing when it comes to music I used to tell people I played 11 different instruments in my first year of high school now I just tell people I play horn cus it’s the only one I can pick up and read music directly off the page with grace and technique
You are quite talented musically! It is impressive that you can play the basics on so many different instruments. I agree that it gets boring not playing a variety of instruments. I took lessons on Tenor Sax, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, recorders, singing, piano and keyboards. Each instrument makes me happy as I am playing it because of the different tones. I wish you continued happiness as you continue to enjoy what you do! For my Music Education Teaching Degree I had to learn the basics and a scale on all instruments including all brass, woodwind, string and percussion and like you, a piece or song that is played on those instruments.
Yeah your right because I play saxophone and clarinet but I practice both of them an hour each a day. But if I start playing flute, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, and every instrument ever created then I will be mediocre at all of them just like this chick
@@darkemperor8047 If you start practising more then no. If you practise for the same time and you learn more instruments then yes. You won't improve so much and relatively, you will not advance as quickly. That is her choice though. Why is that choice bad?
We must remember that a lot of these instruments have similar to fingerings e.g recorders, tin whistle, flute, piccolo and oboe are all much alive with the technique varying it's a very good trick into making non musical people believe your way more talented then you really are. Good job!!

BrightMercy Bright Recorder is so if you want to play in band or chorus, you will have experience reading music, and can relate them to woodwind instruments. I played recorder in 5th grade, I just finished 7th grade and I play trombone, baritone, and ukulele
Description is most humorous
Casey Reid ikr
Me: so what instrument do you play?
Her: yes
haha😂😂😂😂
I PLAY VIOLA AND PIANO LIKE IF YOU PLAY ONE OF THESE INTRUMENTS
cool
I play Piano and Alto Sax
Tae Yang Lee I don’t but I play cello
I play both too
Taryn Arnold I'm 125493929% sure you are Asian.
Flute people??

thank you so much you've saving me from failing my music exam right now by playing all your different instruments and listing their names since it's on the criteria to identify different instruments in music analysis
I think you are very talented :)
ur description is savage af. i like it
When you're the only one in the comments who plays viola 😕
Dayne Sauter hey I do too! 😀
Me too !
Dayne Sauter i play viola wassup!🎻
viola ftw
aayyy my people
You were boss at 17! I think that was the best, they all sound great!
Taryn Arnold She meant the best out of all of the instruments that she played. This comment really ticked me off.
Taryn Arnold and so? If your the ✌ Concert Master Violinist ✌ I don't care, your out of the subject.
Taryn Arnold ok sorry
Sand30230 Aj thank you
CCSA's Channel thank you
You are super awesome. I have an addiction to instruments, too, but I'm not nearly as good at many of them. Mostly play the piano and accordion. You're inspirational! Thank you for sharing, sempai! :)
The oboe is one of the most difficult instruments to play, and even getting the right sound means the person is really good at what they do
That's not the sound an oboe is supposed to sound like, she needs to work on tone before vibrato because oh my.
Wow! You did amazing! I recently began expanding my “knowledge of music” as my band teacher say, by playing more instruments. You’ve done over 20 and that’s incredible. Don’t let people get under your skin with any dis-compliments or whatnot, you did great!
I can tell you’re a woodwind gal! Great job on the woodwinds!

...awww😥...
Who would actually point that out?
You are so pretty and I also play the oboe☺️
For all the people saying that she sucks, remember that she is switching from instrument to instrument. Also, almost all of the instruments have different playing techniques, and you need real talent to play that. Good job
But she still sucks.
@@John-qy7rp well not like you can do better. Plus I don't see her boasting about how good she is
@@sailorcandy6633 I never wrote that she was boasting, all I did was provide my honest opinion. And I can do better, in fact, almost anybody that has played over half a year, and putting all they're effort into it can play that much and a lot more. I've been playing violin for six years now so I feel that I can at least make observations based on what mistakes I had made on the past and was corrected on. Namely, everything.
@@John-qy7rp cool but I'm talking about playing all of those instruments
@@sailorcandy6633 oh I was talking only about violin because I cannot guarantee what is good or not with woodwinds and brass, but the general opinion seems to be that she's putting in effort, no doubt, but isn't good and is at a very low level.
SOMEONE ELSE WHO PLAYS OBOE!
ChristophrDubois i want to play the oboe so bad!
Ikr
ChristophrDubois i play a little bit of oboe its pretty cool
A lot of people play Oboe xD
ChristophrDubois I play oboe too! 😊
OMG! You're so talented! And here I thought, me being able to play 4 instruments is cool.
I also play 4! (Not including the recorder because I really don’t know how to play it, the harmonica because I don’t know any songs on there, the keyboard for the same reason as the recorder, and the kazoo for the obvious reasons)
Clara Jolobai It kinda does! It's an instrument too, I guess.
Ethan Sanchez I can only play guitar, piano, violin, and drums.
And i'm here. I'm proud of me cause I taught my self how to play the ukulele and recorder 😐
I know how to play trombone piano ukulele and a bit of guitar
I'd argue that you can only play an instrument if you're at an adequate standard at it, not just able to play a simple tune. Plus there's no way you can count the whole recorder family as an individual instrument because they are exactly the same to learn & play.
A distinction is to be made between playing an instrument and being able to play an instrument- I play the clarinet as my main instrument but am able to play the bass clarinet as well because it's very similar, but that doesn't mean I play the bass clarinet as well
Stop judging, Im sure she tried really hard on this video.
if I kill someone for the sake of liking it, you can't judge me?

The Bomb11215 Good for you. I play in a HighSchool band, Pre-College Jazz. I play 10 instruments professionally. You may play 21 but not great, I play 10 for award wining pieces, and Excellence.

Wow! That's really cool that you can play that many. It's a shame you are getting so many hate comments!
This was in my recommended so I decided to check it out. I play piano, ukulele, soprano clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, flute, violin, and trumpet. I'd like to applaud you for learning how to play all those instruments. I personally have a love for music and want to learn to play many different instruments when I get older. Keep up the good work!

Great job! I love playing lots of instruments too! Keep having fun! I've never met an instrument I can't play, but the hardest one of all is the violin. My favorite is the saxophone. I also really love the tiny harmonica I carry in pocket.
Jack of all traits, master of none
Cool video though! You're talented for knowing how to play all of these instruments

You're amazing thank you for sharing that with us keep going!❤❤
I have to say... Not only are you really good at each instrument, but it's really amazing how you can do such a variety of songs for the instruments! I thought I played a lot (6) but you are way better and you play more! Great job!❤️👍🏽🎵
Hannah Maria ugh no she sucks at violin i’m glad she didn’t include her left hand because i would just cringe at her flat fingers and pizza wrist
Wtf her playing was awful
@@natefroggy3626 they play for FUN! What is it about that word you don't understand? Music should be fun shouldn't it?
The ocarina is a god tier instrument

Change title to "The 20 instruments I own". Literally been playing trumpet for 8 years. I PLAY THE TRUMPET not her. Spit me some improv and then we can talk. No offense tho to the girl at least she can kinda play them
Can you do that though?
@@iidentifyasasausagemcmuffi6231 I think you both play the trumpet.
I play some of the instruments she plays and she’s doing a great job! You sound great!
Don't listen to the rude commenters who say mean things. They're just jealous they can't play as good as you. Very awesome job on ever single one.
Trent Does Piano no.
What? You think we are jealous I can play all of those instruments I just don’t get why she thinks some of those instruments even count.
jas_pro2 haha peasant? I have been playing music since I was 5 and I’m now 16
These comments are MAAAAAAD Salty. Music isn't about "mastery". Its about expression. Holy heck
I've always said it doens't matter if you are the best or worst at something as long as you're having fun.
None of them were really good, but she is still a bad ass! 😁😁😁
I like her attitude in the description!
I play several instruments myself because I get bored.
You keep up girl! I like you! 😁😁
I liked them all tbh
@@oldaccount-p1i me2!
I wish I was that talented!
And all these haters can just try to contain their jealousy!
You are great at playing all of these instruments! Also the description is the BEST! I play the flute, ukulele, tin whistle and soon to be piano
Edit: and honey, you butchering how much pressure you put on the bow to your violin is n o t due to “the quality of [your] recording equipment”
alright mr steven universe pfp. she's not hating for no reason, she has a point that her playing does not sound good and it's embarrassing to actual musicians that have to see her come through and try to say that she "plays" 20 instruments. she's actually making herself look very intelligent with all the points she's brought up
Spicy Chicken
lol ok
She’s doing it for fun let her be
i aspire to be someone like you. i love music and instruments.
I just want to know how she was able to afford all of these. I have a clarinet, piano, guitar, and a trumpet. Ugh goals
Vanessa read description and she buys them cheap on Craiglist and fixes thwm
Every now and then I find that one video of somebody who I wish I knew in real life. Why can't there be more cool musical people like you? I need more musical friends.
To all of you who are saying that recorders are the same instrument and she doesn’t play recorder
She only plays 6 recorders including tin whistle and plays 14 other careful instruments.Thats hella talented.
She doesnt play any of them well, they are all half assed just so she can say she plays them all
Janis Schaumburg Stop telling the truth! You’re exposing someone who doesn’t want to be exposed! All I wanna give to u is a 👍

Omg, 17, the violin when she played Somewhere over the Rainbow, I recognized from my school’s concert! Nice playing!
What if someone asks her which instruments she is playing…?
Ling Ling knows how to play every instrument
Please make more videos ! I really like them !! YOU HAVE A TALENT😍
(Sorry for my bad english I'm french)
Jack of all trades, master of none, but still better than a master of one.
SAME. I play violin and feel offended when she played the violin like that because it makes people seem it’s so easy to play violin and it’s NOT. I caught like four mistakes when she played violin. And how does she have the time to learn all this? It sounds too good to be true. Just sayin.
Sophia Anderson same for me but with the clarinet😂
I was triggered when she played trombone and guitar...
why is everyone being so mean to this girl?? She is very talented! who cares if she played a few wrong notes? I mean everyone has their own opinion, I get that, but do you really have to be that rude?

I play saxophone, bass clarinet, and regular b flat clarinet and I thing the embosure could use some work on the the clarinet because it sounds like you aren't putting your teeth on the top hard enough

Adrianna finally someone who plays bass clarinet lol
My gosh I love the way you play! I'm a string and wind player, (specifically clarinet, flute, guitar and ukulele,) and you play these beautifully. I love the way you play your wind instruments, (and the fife is my favorite) keep rocking on gorgeous

couldnt have said it better. -piano only dude
@@GinoNLgamer Yeah of course, guitar only for me
Jack of all trades, master of none is better then a master of one my dudes
Was just gonna comment that
GinoNLgamer same classical piano all day however I also play guitar banjo recorder harmonica and create rap beats
But do you play the French Horn?
Just keep one or two you love most and practice. Otherwise they will all sound awkward when you play them...
@@dogpeelol don't you love it when complete strangers on the internet tell you how you should live your life and what hobbies you should have 😅
Yeah your right because I play saxophone and clarinet but I practice both of them an hour each a day. But if I start playing flute, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, and every instrument ever created then I will be mediocre at all of them just like this chick
@@darkemperor8047 or maybe you just suck and you are butthurt about other people being more talented than you.
@@darkemperor8047 If you start practising more then no. If you practise for the same time and you learn more instruments then yes. You won't improve so much and relatively, you will not advance as quickly. That is her choice though. Why is that choice bad?
I think she sounds 👍
We must remember that a lot of these instruments have similar to fingerings e.g recorders, tin whistle, flute, piccolo and oboe are all much alive with the technique varying it's a very good trick into making non musical people believe your way more talented then you really are. Good job!!
