This guy is a true craftsman right here. The diligence and fine details... can a wallet have a chef's kiss!?! Work like this never gets the credit or compensation deserved, honestly.
Haha I remember watching that video when Amir first started working about appreciating leather. Definitely a far cry from skinning couches in alleys to almost 1 year at Ashland.
@@AshlandLeather reason I ask, I used daubers for years to apply dye to edges. I found these felt-tipped paint markers last year and they are fantastic. Reloadable, and each fill up lasts me weeks on end. You can achieve an excellent straight line and they're very controllable. Just thought I'd share. I'll never go back to a dauber. They're good for thin fluids, like dye, probably not thick stuff like edge kote. www.montana-cans.com/en/marker-inks/empty-markers-replacement-tips/montana-empty-markers/
Keeping that one a bit of a secret but it is part of our process for hand glazing. You can get a similar result with just water. I made a video about that here: ua-cam.com/video/6thMByKeziQ/v-deo.html

Great work!
Is that dye or edge kote being applied with the dauber?
We apply special stains/dyes to match the shells with the dauber.
