Just want to note that this game came out in 2022 and not in the 90s. Still looks amazingly unhinged 🤣
You can tell by the boobs
2022?!?! Does that make it better or worse?.........YES!! 😂
add a pricetag of 100 mill and you can almost slap a AAA publisher on it 🤣
It still looks better than some so called quadruple A games.
Early builds of this game date back to the early-2010s. This guy spent a good decade on this passion project.
Btw, I don't know how obvious this is to everyone else, but that creepy little girl you give antiques to is wearing a simplified version of Princess Agitha's dress. You know, Agitha, the girl from Twilight Princess you collect golden insects for and who makes creepy comments when you leave her castle with bugs still in your inventory.
If this game wasn't already 2 years old, I would have sworn, that you hired someone to make a video game for the sole purpose of making a video about.
I wouldn’t discount it yet, could be playing the long game
I'd believe it if you said he hired someone on Fiver to make this game.
His channel is older than 2 years, and fits perfectly for his narrative style ll
No he just finds funny videos and makes videos about it it really is that simple
I already knew about this game from vinesauce even if i hadn't seen those videos either
I don't know why, but the "You're creeping out the tourists" line to then cut to three non-descript npc's absolutely killed me
Ah, yes, the dragon that is clearly not a dragon. A true Zelda tradition.
I found the equal rights for enemies to be both hilarious and accurate as well.
This is a fever dream, I wish I was this creative.
The line between being creative and being high is so thin it might as well not exist
I loved this game from the time I saw a very early build being played on vinesauce. The humor is a lil dated (and was UPDATED a bit which is funny) but it's still got a lot of charm.
This is probably the closest I've seen to another game capturing the humour of the first couple of Monkey Island games.
It's genuinely impressive that the fourth wall breaks don't feel like an attempt to excuse sloppy design and optimisation and are actually pretty well executed.
I kind of like the visuals as well. It's clearly the result of limitations, but it's definitely very deliberate with the ugly photofit faces and complete lack of dynamic scene lighting. It's like the video game equivalent of something like South Park.
It's like if someone made Limbo of the Lost get into a teleport pod with Mystery of the Druids, and dressed it up in the clothes it took from Ocarina of Time and the Zelda cartoon after mugging them in Nostalgia Alley.
But in the best way possible.
I don't have a working gaming computer right now, so thank you Mitch for showing me all of these MB size games that need essentially no RAM to run.
I feared it was a future victim of Nintendo lawyers from the title, but it's not so much a Zelda-like than a early-3D era games-like with all the references
That walk cycle of Lance is so beautiful.
It's spelled Lunk
@@hossdelgado626 You're right, I'm sorry. Lance sounds so similiar, so I accidently wrote Lunk, oops, I meant Lunk. Sorry, sorry...
Tabitha's accent slays me dude. lololol
*Your narration is fantastic. Had me in stitches!!* 😂😂
Wow, this reminds me so much of a personal project I made, god, ~2003ish? It was a game similar to Link to the Past, with bonkers stuff left and right. This is making me so nostalgic.
you gonna share or just tease us?
Easily one of my favorite games I've ever played, the voice acting made it even funnier and it was a favorite of mine to clear completely when it came out on steam. Glad you're covering this, learned about it through vinesauce's stream of it ages ago.
Gotdangit that "Boston" accent is a New York accent and I will call you Australian in retaliation 😤
I agree. And I’m from Chicagoland
australians have different accents too
@@corysanderson6177 that's the point my friend
You see, the trick to Peaky Blinders and understanding it is trusting the subtitles and hoping it got the dialogue correct.
28:45 I love how Gozamata is Discovery 1 from 2001 A Space Odysey with a huge eye at the front!
I subbed, I love the unhinged british guy commentary.
I would nominate La-Mulana as a future unhinged game to look into. Particularly, the freeware MSX-styled version, as the graphics are much more unique. The game has you playing as an Indiana Jones type of archaeologist, who also happens to be descended from ninjas. Venturing into the ruins, Lemeza will have to solve quite a few riddles. The game is a metroidvania, with clues to puzzles often found outside of the field you are exploring, and many deathtraps that WILL get you. Put a weight upon a giant's foot? You might get crushed beneath the crumbling statuary. To open one chest, you must sleep below an eye. Bring a girl into the sun to make her have child. The riddles get much more difficult than that.
This is very much a lengthy and hardcore game. ESPECIALLY if you pursue the treasure of Hell Temple. The way to getting into that place is obscure and convoluted as heck...
Was half expecting a 🚨 *LEAVE IT MITCH* 🚨alarm at 0:58 😂
Lunk is the best spinoff name xD
Lunk, Lenk, Lonk, Lank
@@R0GU351GN4L is it the Legend of Salma The Four Swords? Ahahha
Its crazy how we live in such a technologically advanced world of gaming but its always these bizzare games that end up captivating the gaming world. 😂😂
What a wonderfully bizarre game 😂 I love it!
Thank you for undoing Zeno's Paradox! The solution to it was infinite series/calculus all along.
Great video and an incredible game, but a the biggest shout out is for including the name of the awesome outro song in the info, thanks :D
lunk sounds more like a fairy than the fairy does lol
The almighty power of lightly grabbing the elbow....... Hahahaha
The fairy is from New York, not Boston. She sounds vaguely like Kyle's Mom from South Park.
Thank you, another local that can tell the difference. We sound so not alike, but then again maybe we suffer the Australia vs New Zealand thing where to outsiders, it's all the same
sounds identical to Harley Quinn
"a man seeking a fairy boy." 😂😂😂🤣 Without context that's hilarious.
somehow i get Dink Smallwood silliness vibe from this game
Holy Cow !
At 12:22, the reference to the Grailquest gamebooks !
In each one of them, sectiohappily the "you are dead" section. I'm happily su :Dised to find this type of reference ! :D
Comedy gold mate
I love all your videos Mitch! Honestly some of the best content on the platform, its always a hoot!
3:52 You're welcome 😂
Lunk's parents is straight out of the american gothic painting
You made me laugh. Thank you for that.
You got to love parody games 😂
While not purely unhinged i would recommend the dungeon of naheulbeuk as a good comedy rpg. It isnt as absolutely wild as games like these but is a really well made but comedy centric CRPG that does feel like an ode to the mid 2000s crass comedy rpgs.
3:26 perfection on the wall
the scene with the boots is very Terry Pratchett ..."The most
spectacular, and certainly the most tragic, happened when one Seer
attempted to use his seven league boots without the proper sequence of
spells and preparations. Seven league boots, as has already been
intimated, are a tricky form of magic at best, and he remembered too
late that the utmost caution must be taken in using a means of
transport which, when all is said and done, relies for its
effectiveness on trying to put one foot twenty-one miles in front of
the other."
Wow, that was way better voice acting than Camilla Luddington in the recent TR games!
This looks funny as hell. It's like having a game about all the memes and references from childhood in a video game. As for trying to figure out what the name of a song or the music playing is, I use Shazam. It's been able to find some pretty niche song with and without any lyrics or audio that overlaps with the music, so even if a youtuber is talking over the song, it can generally figure out which song is being played. I will note that it has failed to find a song- namely a certain individually composed song created by TheDarkSomnium during his, A song for a student, video and The king in yellow. Other than those, great accuracy. Maybe this can help those trying to find the names of songs in videos.
Despite its strange, offputting appearances, it does have a soul and wears it on its sleeve.
The game creator should have given you a +1 frequent flyer mile for each time the speed boots flung the hero through the air to his death.
Frequent flyer miles is the best currency I can think of!
@55:00 when you zoom in on blonde guy with weird smile, i cant be the only one that thinks he looks like HBOMBERGUY?? hahah
Ah the famed Belda I've heard about on forums
This reminds me of the The Legend of Zelda: The Lampshade of No Real Significance.
I am absolutely in love with Tabitha the Baltimore pixie.
Don't know if you already know about them but the DeathSpank trilogy is another great entry in the (intentionally) hilarious/parody game genre.
Cora Loft. It's killin me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like how the King is just a dude in a otter jumper.
C'mon Mitch, it's POST CODE. You'll be sayin ALOOMINUM next 😁
9:45 I've always wanted a British man to narrate how I lost the bet in an Attinborough-type style.
"Your majesty... come on." 😂😂
Absolutely loving this channel.
What in the Name of All is this 🤣 Really good video man !
Hey I think I know you 🤔
"Plot keys"... LOL this killed me
The most interesting thing is that some of the jokes and references are incredibly regional.
Sir I don't know who you are or how you got on to my algorithm but thank you 😂
King Hyrde (1:19) looks like young Jacksepticeye and the staff even looks like septiceye sam lmao
Peaky blinders reference - one love ! I'm a russian gopnik, but damn that show is good! althought I lived in East London for five years, mayhap that's why I enjoy it xD
If you can find a copy, I'd recommend "Kingdom O' Magic" it's pretty ancient at this point, but it's got a fantastic sense of humor.
do you like feeling like you're on drugs even though you're not
then you'll love
ditty of carmeana
The "I don't believe in fairies," line killing fairies is literally straight from Peter Pan.
I love these weird one person made games. I want to see more of this! :)
You did yourself in- I had to stop the video and immediately buy the game after a minute. Have this comment as compensation.
I love off the railes games. They are awesome. So far, I have not seen a game that beats Harvester from 96. That game was batshit insane. Try that game and you will know what I mean.
😂😂😂😂 peaky blinders extra 😂😂😂. And tbf even the title with the word ditty is funny to me 😅😅. Another...... Blinder of a video fella 👍 as always 😂😂..... And that Cora loft part was fantastic 😂😂😂
Was that Lightly grabbed Elbow comment a reference Red Letter Media? Coz if so, that's a super deep cut...
Just saying, but if the supermodel zombies had been the most polished characters of the game, it would have been even more hilarious. :D
Might I recommend giving Ultima a go if you can manage it? I remember vividly being spawn camped by a llama that I'd tried to tame only for it to take murderous offense....
30:11 That explains BotW's lack of enemy variety.
Absolutely love this channel, great video, but hey it's Mitchmanix, why would it not be
I just have to point out that CPL. is Corporal. Not Captain. That abbreviation is CPT. At least that is how it is for the US Military. Not sure, nor why it would be different in other countries, but still it remains as such.
I'm eternally bummed that the video player item in the demo that linked you to Never Gonna Give You Up was removed from the final release.
Oh yeah, forgot about that
Oh hell yeah, I love this game. It’s a fantastic parody
Hello. Do you plan on making a video on Anarchy Online, Dark Age of Camelot, or EverQuest 2?
Or have you stopped covering MMOs?
Emir looks like a bad runescape character
The Robot Chicken reference is GOLD! Son: "I feel bad for the fairies!" Mom: "What fairies?" Son: "The ones who die when you say 'fairies don't exist'!" Mom: "Don't worry, fairies don't exist!"
I more sad that less people know the reference than I would hope.
more character and plot development than most Zelda games.
Those two guys at the gate looks sort of like Angry Joe with a fancy tash🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Remember that Reference? DO YOU??"
The level of Bonkers-ness makes me think of Disk World.
(Not saying they are the same, just that both a very very bonkers.)
Like the plumbing in the mens urinal during the 7th stretch at a world series game
This is taking the piss!
I remember seeing Vine sauce play this game when it had a demo before it came out and then also when it came out. This game is so silly
Love the video!
The chests opening sideways crack me up every time. It's such a small detail, but adds so much to the... ekhem, unhinged... cilimate of this game
My favorite game!! Prunescape 2!👁️👄👁️
Does...the king look like you? o_O Nice video anyway :)
'stuck' lol
I had this dream one time
Why does the hero have horns from Ico near the end?
YES I do know this game. And YES it’s hilarious. I’ve known of it for like a decade now and good times were had
10:19 sudden Akuma Nihmune appearance OwO
As soon as I saw that I thought ; A 3 year old drew Lara Croft
I don't think it's a Zelda clone at this point. It reminds me more of Conker's Bad Furday.
More games need to add speedy boots like the one at 12:00 !
