It took me quite a while to work through all the difficulties of this project but when it all finally came together is so worth it. I think a team of 20 people would have made it 20 times harder
@@Xadov I don't know about that. This project involved so many different problems from engineering. mathematics, physics, computer science etc. To be sufficiently knowledgeable in all these fields that you can solve these problems in a reasonable amount of time is pretty hard. And I see potential for dividing these problems so that different persons can figure them out. For example one guy can take care of calibrating the camera system. One can be an expert on billard physics and solve the problem from which direction and with what amount of force etc should the queue hit the queueball. One person can build the queue that is capable of performing a shot in a given direction and with a given amount of force etc. Maybe 20 people is a bit much but I'm pretty sure that doing this alone is much harder.

The most amazing thing about all your videos is, It shows clearly how complicated the human mind is. When you pick up a pool cue and look at the shot you want to make, your mind makes the calculation in a split second. @@xXAssassinsCreed i gotta agree on that, vector calculus last semester was a complete pain in the ass.
What a great project, this could be the first step to a new and awesome gaming peripheral for pool game enthusiasts. You're amazing, dude 👍👍👍
Well it is pretty easy to see why you are sponsored. You really made this fun to experience. Your wife was a real sport. many blessings to you both.!
"this is probably the most complex project i've ever done" 😆 I feel like I hear this every time! He just keeps upping the ante
I'm waiting for the one... "So, paying for power is boring... so I created a backyard fusion reactor. this has to be the most complex project I've ever done."
@@TehZombish 43 seconds ago
dude gonna be on mars in a couple weeks at this rate
it's Ben from Authen Tech
@@TehZombish I'm waiting for him to tackle a project and be like "yeah I thought this was going to be hard, but it actually ended up falling into place really easily". But I know that if that ever happens he will just add 10 more features until it becomes very complicated then THAT's what the video becomes about haha
This is legitimately one of the most impressive personal projects I've ever seen.
That's gotta be one of the most impressive builds I have seen. Amazing work Shane
Amazing insights on thinking process and problem solving techniques
After watching this my only thought was "Did this guy major in everything?"
Funnily enough I'm basically studying everything he does in this video in vienna at the moment, it's mechatronics, a combination of electronics, mechanics and computer science
But what he is doing in this video is insane to me, but i can understand the basics of everything he is doing (certainly the programing, had that a few weeks ago, search for one letter I've written wrong for days..)
I thought the same lol

Uni doesn't teach ya how to do projects most of the time. He's probably EE, CS, or ME and just has the drive to learn everything he can to do cool projects
I looked him up on linked in. He has a BS in ME and an MS in CS
Game developers: "Let's make game more like real life."
This guy: "I'm going to make real life more like game."
life is a game
we need to have something to do in the technocratic future... can't be all crispr

We need more realistic games. If you don't believe me look at the success GTA V had. It's basically the standard city sandbox at this point. If we had more simulator like games, players would have so much more fun exploring the extent of the physics system and some really cool and funny videos would be made
You Sir are beyond intelligent. Scary smart. I hope you are able to stay sane in the process. I mean that with utmost care and compassion. You are an amazing man. God Bless you and your family. You are good people.
Your back and fourth between you and your wife is always amazing lol I love her sarcastic support
As mark rober would say: “I’m bad at pool, but I’m good at engineering. Which means that I’m actually good at pool”
This has 1000 likes and no replies so I just felt the need to comment
Lol
@@yopops9829 You just ruined it, 1k likes with no comments are rare species

I’m bad at coding which means I’m bad at engineering which means I’m bad at basically every sport which means I flunk P.E
When are you going to show the time stopping machine? because there's no way that you can build this in this amount of time. I'll go and pick up my jaw from the floor. Thanks.
Time stopping machine during pandemic... kekw
Two of my favourite tinkerers on one UA-cam video. Much Success!
That was my thought too. Like yeah I could do everything in this video... If you gave me a decade (and a much more patient wife).
You're on to him, RUN STUFFMADEHERE, RUN!
That is his stand power.
It's the same type of stand as za warudo.
Only stand users can see other stand so you wouldn't understand.
Is there anyone out there that can do it like this man, literally going from concept and doing every single step down the line all the way to the finished product? Simply amazing 👏
A whole bunch of PhD students do this kind of stuff all the time. It's an enormous effort
My way you simplified all of this to us , it's genius
"Eventually you run out of stuff that can be wrong." What a great engineering quote
I find that there is always something new that can go wrong, but at least you can design away the frequency of failures.
It's true, even Sherlock Holmes said so, something like "When you have eliminated the impossible, no matter how improbable must be the case"
I find what happens is the project runs out of money first!
As a legal professional in a large tech company I work with many engineers. You guys are a different breed. Tons of admiration.
Among the breed he is very diffrrent
You guys? This is just one guy in a basement

You're insane bro, congrats for all the effort and dedication!! I can see has been huge, plus the talent!! 3 videos and I'm aleready addicted to learn more about your crazy invents.
Thank you for sharing your mistakes. Makes me feel not so dumb as a mechanical engineering student running into problems and mistakes and solving them
"The robot is not your kid. We have talked about this."
His wife is the perfect foil in these videos.
Loving something makes it real!)
Next project - make a robot dog like Spot. “The robot is your pet”!
