I was a karate student in elementary school. My teacher could spin the rope around his body 5 times a jump or something ridiculous like that, and he barely took the feet off of his group. You could barely see the rope. It’s one of those things that’s hard to believe/imagine unless you see it IRL.
I like how you calculated in the beginning that you need about 800rps and then used a motor with less than 50rps without gearing it up. Incredible work. Still 10/10 video

So if someone does 100 jumps in a minute, the average number of jumps per second can be calculated by dividing 100 by 60: 100 jumps / 60 seconds ≈ 1.67 jumps per second (rounded to two decimal places) Hope this helped lol.
It is theoretically possible to stop rain like that but it would need the wires to go way faster. You first have to calculate the randomness of the timing of each raindrop and the speed of the engine. That leaves you with around the speed of sound
1:16 so if a jump rope would need to make 800 rotations per second, and let’s assume that the distance from where it is above your head to under your feet is 7 feet in total, then that would mean for every rotation around your body the jump rope travels about 22 feet. So if you need it to spin 800 times in a second then the jump rope would be moving at 17600 feet per second which is 12,000 miles per hour. So basically all you would need to do is get your jump rope going Mach 16. Easy enough
