Thanks for the details here. I am a 64 year old former pilot with aviation still in my blood as well. I have ForeFlight on my devices and love to load and track flight plans on commercial flights, or even on UA-cam videos so I appreciate the up front details for the route.
Hey, Grant. Thanks for the detailed review. I have 420 hours in the PC-12, almost all of which are in Legacies. Only about 25 hours in the NG. I haven't flow in a year and a half and am going to SimCom for NG recurrent in a few days. Trying to brush up, so this helps! Thanks!
When I saw that in the update notes, I was stoked! I’m really hoping we can get procedures at some point, but that might require an update from Honeywell. Wx and traffic from the panel to Foreflight would be great to see also!
Lance, I’m a one man show here, so I do all of that. It needs washed every 5-7 trips. My passengers are pretty clean, so I don’t need to clean the interior as often.

Hey. I have this plane on the MSFS2024 simulator. But no manual was provided to us. Do you know where I can find a manual describing the individual displays and their operation in a pdf file? What might the title of such a manual be?
David, Foreflight says in their pilot’s guide that it isn’t currently possible to load SIDs, STARs or Approaches and that airways will be flattened into individual waypoints instead of selectable as one item. My guess is that the reason for that is on the Honeywell side, but I could be wrong.
Actually, I did some more research. It’s definitely a Honeywell issue. They have/had an app called MyGDC. It isn’t available on the US Apple app store, but I watched their video on it. In the video they state that since SIDs, STARs and approaches will change based on weather, they aren’t transferred. Since all the flight plans are saved on the avionics after transfer, I suppose it makes sense. I would prefer to have the procedures transferred rather than save the flight plans without them. Foreflight is still an improvement though. The MyGDC app requires you to cycle power to the panel before you can access the flight plan.
@@GrantBaker ok kool,, honeywell seems to need some updating,,, it should do the W/B itself as well as calculate its own V speeds as well as take full and complete flight plan transfer from apps ,,, seems to way behind in some areas compare to g3000
Hey man! I’m loving your videos. Is there a certain amount of time you can have the STBY bus on before turning on the Batteries and starting the engine? Or can you just leave it all on for a little while?
Thanks Oliver! The minimum time before turning on batteries is 30s to let things initialize, and then you can leave it on as long as you want. You just can’t drain the battery below 24v before starting. I’ve heard of guys leaving STBY on up to an hour before start without issue.

kool,, why dont you use FF for the W/B etc?
I find the Pilatus W&B app easier to use.
