    How do you compare this to the ported Vudoo ?

    I don’t understand why a tool less guide rod isn’t the standard in every 1911/2011. I understand cost but it’s not like it’s a 500$ item

      Some do not like them. Some builders say they are not as strong and will fail over time. Which I have seen happen but that was 1 time and that was it.

    do u notice the slide getting too hot? i know the staccato xl island barrel gets super hot and its unported

    • @TacticalBeardedDad
      @TacticalBeardedDad  20 днів тому +2

      I haven't. But with this the gases are getting released faster and allowing for a cooler barrel. I had the XL island as well and did notice got little warmer than other but also normally you have the slide protecting you slightly instead of direct to the barrel so it will be a little warmer. If you get what I'm saying.

      @@TacticalBeardedDad got it thank you for the insight. would u for any reason go for a non ported version of this island barrel or still stick with the ported version

    Thank you! Given your collection, can you let us know how Hayes Cobra and the Fowler Vanta 9 stack up to each other? Is the Vanta in the same league as Hayes? Thanks!

      Well your talking about a 7k vs a 5k gun so there are some difference. The V9 though is still one of my favorite 2011s and is still in my eyes the best looking one.

      @@TacticalBeardedDad Fair. If you had to choose between the CP M5 and the 4.25 Vanta 9-which have similar price points-what would you go with?

      @@Gcollector-bk8uf that's tough lol. I like them both a lot. I would love to get my hands on the new V9K. I have had 3 M5 and 2 v9 and have loved them all. I have a M5 I'm doing something fun with right now so will have to stay tuned to see it. But to answer your question depends on what your wanting it for. The V9 is still in my opinion the best looking 2011. I love the slide design and Logan is a great guy to work with. The m5 is no slouch either and Chris has been great to work with. They both perform great is almost aesthetically which you like better.
