Thanks - really really helped me. Had a mechanic not want to do the work and I missed out on a second hand motor and rods. Now I can fit the rods myself. (Motor is fine see)
Thank you very much Sarah, I really appreciate your support ! 👍👍
Absolute legend they just stopped working as we pulled in home the linkage clip popped off managed to pop it back on in 20 mins and order the spare this video saved me from a very upset fiancé as we’re off on holiday tomorrow
You're very welcome, thanks for watching. Enjoy your trip ! :)
1:35 lol, me when its dark and shes says to put it in
Excellent, just what I needed. The arm under the motor had fallen off. Now I need to make sure it doesn’t come off again…somehow?? Good vid thanks
Thanks for watching. You should be able to replace the bushings like these: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176516583986
you made the passenger wiper look easy XD, i had to remove the blade an litterly pull it and push it with the arm up to get the sod off heh just like your driver side but unfortunatly mine was seized, for a little bit ;) i also wonder who else is here because the rod broke from the motor to arms an used a tidy 20 note ebay replacemnt over the 170 quid garage quote ;)
Very good instruction I've yet to get wiper arms off am getting a wiper puller from europarts glad you reminded about beware of damaging screen
You're very welcome, thanks for watching !
Superb video, really clear. It meant I could this job quickly myself! Thanks so much

Excellent video. Well done.
Thank you !
Thank you soo much, really useful - I took the bits out of the car and will refit with new rods !
This is such helpful video so many thanks
You are welcome!
I usually put the rubber seal from the scuttle panel on the bottom of the windscreen as a cushion just incase
Good tip !
My wiper blades keep hitting the pillar and scuttle tray when wiping. I'm assuming I need to replace the entire linkage? Unless it's just the bushings? Amazing video by the way thanks 😁
Thanks, it sounds like the bushings are most likely worn
@@screwsnutsandbolts No worries! and thanks for the reply I'll have a look and see if the bushings help. Which part of the bushings do I grease or is it the holes? Thanks
Thanks so much for the super useful video!
I followed the steps and found the socket and ball had come lose. I put them back in and the wiper move with full range before covering Scuttle panel is put back. Once this is back and the wipers are connected I am getting the wipers to move but only a fraction of the expected range. The wiper spindle in the centre of the car moves upwards as well as left to right. Would this be an issue with the whole transmission or something smaller?
It sounds like bushings or something else is badly worn out but it only shows up when it's working with the added resistance when the wiper arms are in contact with the windscreen. Run it without the scuttle panel and the wiper arms back on to get a look at what exactly it moving around
Good Info step by step.Thank you for sharing
You're welcome!
Good video thanks bhai.
Thanks for watching !
Hi :) Really helpful video! My wiper linkage keeps popping off, have ordered the new parts from eBay! I am going to give it a go... The motor is fine. Its just the plastic parts on the rod not holding on! Garage tried saying it would be £500 fitted! :( Do you think someone with minimal experience could do this and not a garage? thanks!
If you take your time you should be able to do it, hopefully without any unforeseen snags. If you're in any doubt, do get some help. Also, take pictures with your phone each step, just in case....
The linkage arm that connects to the motor decided it was a good time to disconnect while I was going down the motorway in torrential rain
Well that was rather inconsiderate !
@@screwsnutsandbolts not only that the dealership decided to quote me £210 for the whole assembly when I just needed the part that connects to the motor!
god i love ebay motors
Thank you
You're welcome
Wiper arms are difficult to get off, had to buy a special tool, getting them back on the spindle is worse, tighten the nut but the arms are loose underneath and the spindle turns without moving the arm....can`t get the nuts tighter.
Are the spines on the spindles still in good condition ?
Hi what was the reason of changing the assembly and the motor?
Thanks
Just for demonstration purposes. Is there a problem with your wipers ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts wipers are working OK the only issue is that they're going outside the range on the side of the windscreen they're hitting the frame and on the bottom of the windscreen the same hitting the frame, so on the both bottom and right side of the windscreen when they hit the frame it sounds like steel on steel hit. I can't figure out what is causing this. I've removed the linkage and it seems to be fine in good condition. Motor is working and my opinion is electrical motor is either working or not working l. No idea where the issue is, any advise would be highly appreciated. Thanks
Was it working ok and then started getting worse over time ?. Are they the correct size wiper blades for the car ?
nylon bushings in the linkage often wear on these. You can get repair kits..
Do you know any possible reason that my front wiper motor keeps blowing out? I’ve replaced two now and they work for a few mins and then stop. Although it’s odd because I can hear a sound when I turn the wiper stick but the wipers don’t move
Are the linkages moving freely and fitted correctly to the motor ?
Hi . I hope you can help me out of finding the fuel filter on my nissan micra k12 1.0
Thanks
I think the fuel filter is atached to the fuel pump/sender unit in the top of the fuel tank
@ScrewsNutsAndBolts thank you I must take a look. That's the only place that I haven't checked just yet
@@screwsnutsandbolts actually I checked and it's not there and the funny thing is I have bought it off the shop and I don't know where it's located
What year is your Micra ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts it's 2005 1.0 K12
Does any body know what the screws are for the plastic covers? mine are done and i need new ones
Do you mean these plastic rivets: Part number: 6686001W01
Hello, does anyone have a link for the R/H drive wiper linkage. The one listed is a L/H
eBay has loads, I just bought one but haven't tried fitting it yet. Comes under 28440-AX60A I think. Hope that helps xx
how to teach the windshield wiper
You don't need to teach it, just run the start/stop sequence and then fit the arms in the correct position.
A wiper arm removal is needed.if it has been on a long time.moving it up and down does not work.thanks.
