I've been watching you since last year. I only live a few minutes north of you, so it's nice to watch the videos because we're dealing with the exact same weather and issues. Keep up the good videos, and congrats on being recognized from the LCN!
Big fan of wetting agents. I often spray it down as liquid but think the granular may be less stressful since the liquid app usually recommends a deep watering before it dries. Good vid.
Thanks for the great information on lawn care. I have been impressed by the simple straight forward approach, and will continue to watch and learn from your sound advice. I never heard of wetting agents but could really benefit by such a product. I could not find the Tri Care Granular product locally. So I looked up the company that makes the product and called them to find out more information and how to get it. The representative that I spoke with acknowledged that they don't distribute in many areas, mostly to golf courses, but is going to see, if possible, how it may be shipped. Even if it is not practical or cost effective to get it, I am impressed by the reps willingness to check on it for me. In this day of "Customer NO Service", it was a refreshing experience.
Thank you for the introduction to Tricure. I became familiar with wetting agents a couple years ago. I talked to a Penterra sales agent, bought it and did help, but not to the level I was hoping for. I’ve tried Hydratain, but really it stilI needs to get down into the soil to the roots. I believe in wetting agents and still have spots that I can literally see the water stand before slowly getting down into the soil, so I will be trying Tricure and they owe you a free bag 😃 One big question. How long between applications?
I imported Hydretain from the US. It is the first product in my life that is not complete BS. God damn it works so good it is actually insane. Maybe it is thanks to our high humidity during nights here. 80-100% humidity during the night is standard here during summer. I water my lawn 12-14mm 1 time per 7 days! And it is not showing any stress in between. Even if we have zero rain.
Great videos! Question. Can you do the nitrogen blast on new grass? My front lawn is 4 weeks old now and I just mowed it for the first time. It looks great and it’s a nice lush green. I don’t want to overdo it since it’s new grass. Thanks
Ok question - took out trees and whole back lawn planted (all new) it seems to be like a clay base had some soild brougt in(didnt really look that great) put down 10/10/10 and then seeded. grass started coming up ok mowed it 2 times then was told not to mow it let it grow and mature. So i didnt but then thought about what you said only cut 1/4 of the length so i cut but took like half, started to notice yellow patches about 6foot by 6foot in areas so in all not sure what to do i even put more seed out. I water it 30 mins in the evening. Not sure if i should buy real top soil water more change watering times when to mow ? I'm in Maryland btw if that matters
There are cheap Surfactants available that allow herbicides to stick to plant leaves. Can these Surfactants be used to make the water adhere to the grass leaves? Why not?
How often do you irrigate your lawn? I get sooo much contradicting answers. I have a Rachio controller and it wants to water almost every day for a short amount of time but now with so many people telling me different it’s 3 times a week. I dream about the time my lawn looks like yours. Stay Off My Lawn!
Not sure, but that stuff has never worked yet for me. It's like lighting a 100 bill on fire and has the same result. One of the LCN minions told me you basically have to have perfect soil for it to work, so maybe that's the problem.
New to the channel and really liking the content! I live in Minnesota too, and am struggling to get my grass to grow where salt hit it during the winter. Any suggestions on what to use on those sidewalk/driveway edges?
I live in Greenville South Carolina and this year in 2022 late spring we had a long patch of warm weather and then it dropped back cold again and then it got warm again in May. this caused some stress in about a 6‘ x 12‘ patch in my yard in my zoysia grass but the rest the yard is fine but this one patch turn like a Kansas Wheat-field yellow… I put some disease X on it which was recommended and I tried some insect killer also and nitrogen anyway after several weeks in between those three applications the grass got about 80% better… now it’s turned dormant (early) first before the other part of the zoysia kind of a light green grayish color…. is there anything I can do to start the process healthy in the spring of 2023?
Nice product video. My marathon lawn is suffering badly with dry spotting. I'm currently watering every other morning. I'm located in San Bernardino, CA and am unable to ship this product to CA. Do you have any alternative product or lawn rescue recommendations for CA? Temps in my area are currently averaging >90 degrees. Thanks in advance.
I have this issue. My neighbor has huge trees, and I am pretty sure that is the culprit. They butt up against our fence. You can almost see them taking all of the water from my lawn. It's so frustrating.
Huge trees rob your nutrients also. Apply a little extra fertilizer near big trees. Think about how much nitrogen and other nutrients it takes to produce all those leaves every spring.
I’m in the Anoka sand plain and my grass wants to burn up where the old crummy irrigation doesn’t hit. Would you suggest trying tricure or more of a “holder” in sand? Any thoughts, not looking for a banger looking lawn like urs, just green all summer!
These chemicals are all nice and all but I think long term good ol compost and aeration twice a year and letting nature do all the work is probably more economical and healthier for the lawn and home owner.
Baby shampoo is way cheaper and far more effective...... It would cost 6 bucks to do that entire yard (750 ml bottle thinned 10 to 1 and sprayed).... 6 bucks.... Keep in mind the PH of the baby soap mixture is 6. And just like anything you add to the lawn, you need to check and monitor the PH of the lawn.....
Has anybody ever looked into therm-x 70 for the lawn? This is a yucca based surfactant used for gardening. It is highly concentrated and relatively inexpensive compared to hydretain and Tricure.
Just a heads up Jesse ... your lawn life merch link forces people to download Firefox and when you X out it doesn't take you to your site but elsewhere. Bummer .. I want a shirt man.
How often do I need to apply Tricure to my lawn? SE Michigan, KBG RYEGRASS Mix. I put it down approx 2 weeks ago. Works great by the way. Keep up the good work Jesse
When is the best time of the year to apply Tricure? I saw your video on Nitrogen Blitz and plan to give it a try. This has been a brutally hot and dry summer on Long Island and my lawn needs some care. Can I do both plans together?
I can tell you been in the lab a while! Knowledge is impressive sir. The Trcure liquid is it any trouble to apply and how much? I have a calibrated push liquid sprayer and can apply no problem.
If you're looking to purchase Tricure, you can find it here:

where can you find the pellets / sprayer?

I live in Texas and my lawn is dormant due to the heat. I can't afford to water every day as I am retired. This is a great video. THANK YOU!!!!!
Been using Hydretain for last 2 years. It helps, i may have to try one of these to help with water penetration too though.
Reno is looking mint in this video jrubb. Nice work!
Thanks for all your content, I’ve been watching you now for 2 years and enjoy all your tips and your time. Scott in Louisville.
Hey Scott, thank you! I appreciate the donation. I'm glad I could help you out. Let me know if you ever have any questions!
wetting agents are awesome. you got some good ones there. they are definitely a good addition to a program if you can afford it.
Dude, you killed this video! Nice job. 👍🏻

I see ya Big Jes!! Excellent content as usual. With these extremely hot condition in the South East, wetting agents will definitely help
Hmm. ? Can u use dish soap as a wetting agent., soapy water shrinks water molecules so it penetrates soil and it's a surfactant
yes, the Lawn Care Nut YT channel features a video about Dawn dish soap. I'm going to try it
Absolutely. And it cost $3 a bottle.
Looks like really cool stuff. Thanks for sharing Jesse 👊🏼
Aquatrols Revolution is the king.
Thanks for your tips....going to start to applying your products

Great video man! Wetting agents are where it at!
Would you have to put this down every summer or every season?
Just came across your channel. Thanks for the informative video!
Where did you buy the granular?
People also use baby soap or baby shampoo in a hose end sprayer and it does the same thing on spots that have gone hidrophobic or are struggling
Dawn soap 🧼 is the best for dry spots with a hose end sprayer
Looking good!
Ortho sprayer and baby shampoo
I’m here after watching LCN latest video.
You just got a new subscriber. The Lawn Care Nut sent me. lol
A link to the product as a starting point would have been nice!
Great advice. Also i apply liquid urea based on your great videos. Ty
Loving this new content from Justin Gaethje

Can u just add a couple new sprinkler heads in the dry zones also?
very pricey and I won't be ae to afford that.. but it's pretty cool stuff! Thank you for making this video!

What kind of grass do you have here? It’s looks amazing.

New sub here. Beautiful lawn, great info
Can't seem to find an online dealer. If you have a source can you please share, like to try this. Thanks for the info.
Have you tried getting the pellet out of the plastic jar and then melting it down and spraying with back pack sprayer and then water it it right away?
Where in the world am I suppose to buy Tricure from? Can't find it anywhere online

How does it compare to hydretain?

Very informative
Hi was wondering if you use the liquid would i water that in when done applying ??
Awesome video man. Do you reckon you'd be able to hook it into your sprinkler system? Not that it would do much for the areas it doesn't cover
Great video
Cool stuff👍

It's not about pressure. Just use bigger (inside diameter) hose
how often do you apply it and when? Im from MN too. Thanks in advance

What are your spreader settings for laying the granular?
What grass are you growing and what height of cut thanks!
Hey bro, I live in California and gets hot up to 100 -110 . When is a good time to apply the wetting agents?

I'll have to give this product a try next yr! I've tried hydratein twice and that stuff is a garbage myth to me
Hydretain is not a wetting agent and definitely works as advertised. Sounds like you have misdiagnosed why areas of your grass are going dormant
Can this be applied now during summer heat?
These chemicals are all nice and all but I think long term good ol compost and aeration twice a year and letting nature do all the work is probably more economical and healthier for the lawn and home owner.
Have you tried Aerify Plus? Trying it on my lawn.
2 1/2 applications for $150
just water more its cheaper ?
Did you water in the granular?
Where can we find the TriCure Granular? I can’t seem to find it online.
How and where do you purchase these products?
Can’t access website. Is it up and running?
New to the channel. Love the content. Where can I buy TriCure?
Would a liquid soil aerator do the same thing?
Yes. Liquid aeration products are wetting agents with a few “extras” added in like humic acid and cost. ;)
Yes, It will basically do the same thing. Soil Aerators are considered wetting agents.
Beautiful lawn! What type of grass is that?
That’s what I’m also wondering!
First Aussie 😁
Can u use it on lawns with pets?
Not what i expected when i searched “wetting asians.”
First American
What is your pressure at your faucet????
One more idea would be to use a Miracle-Gro grow or Ortho applicator.....
I used dish soap😂
Sad you must buy that costly sprayer.
Oh, my ears. That music is not what I expected when watching lawn videos.
Need to get yourself a hose end connection with a ball valve on it. You’ll be in total control of your hose then.
Has anybody ever looked into therm-x 70 for the lawn? This is a yucca based surfactant used for gardening. It is highly concentrated and relatively inexpensive compared to hydretain and Tricure.
Does the granular version need to be watered in after it is applied?

Excellent production value! Bravo ser!
I just used dawn dish soap today we'll see what happens.
Is TriCure similar to Hydretain?
i just seeded my entire yard. does this kill it?
