- Easily Connect Your ReSound Nexia Hearing Aids to Your Mobile Device
The video presents a detailed tutorial on how to pair Bluetooth hearing aids with an iPhone, emphasizing the uniqueness of this process compared to pairing standard Bluetooth devices. Initially, it clarifies the common misconception that hearing aids are paired through the iPhone's Bluetooth settings. Instead, the video guides viewers through the correct steps, which involve navigating to the "Accessibility" menu, then to "Hearing Devices," to initiate pairing.
The video explains that hearing aids must be removed from their charger to activate pairing mode, highlighting that hearing devices typically enter this mode shortly after being taken out. It also notes the importance of having the charger nearby to facilitate the process. Once in the correct menu, the iPhone will recognize and list the hearing aids for pairing, requiring the user to confirm the connection, which occurs twice due to the dual nature of hearing aids.
Following a successful pairing, the tutorial suggests further enhancing the user experience by utilizing the hearing aids' companion app, in this case, the "Resound Smart 3D" app. This app offers advanced features and personalized settings not available through standard Bluetooth pairing, such as fine-tuning sound profiles and accessing custom programs created by an audiologist for specific environments like music, restaurants, or crowded places.
The presenters emphasize the app's capabilities for volume control, program selection, and unique features like geo-tracking, which allows the hearing aids to remember and automatically apply preferred settings based on location. They also discuss the potential for future universal hearing aid control apps but note that currently, each brand has its specific app.
In conclusion, the video not only demonstrates the technical steps required to pair hearing aids with an iPhone but also encourages viewers to explore and utilize the companion app for a more tailored and enhanced hearing experience. It reassures viewers that while the process might seem daunting, audiologists and hearing aid providers are available to assist, ensuring users can fully benefit from their hearing technology.

Got my Nexia 9 today. Your video helped me a lot on the “All Around” and “Hear in Noise” function. Now I understand what is. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
I just got an iPhone 16 Pro. I cannot pair my ReSound hearing aids to the iPhone or to my Bose earbuds. I use little batteries for each hearing aid. I don't have an electrified case, I purchased my hearing aids from Costco 4 years ago. This video is no help to me. Is there a video that can help me connect my Resound hearing aids to my iPhone 16 pro and to my Bose earbuds? They were connected to my iPhone Xs as well as to my car
@Rayford-s2d i am not very familiar with Costco models as Costco traditionally has locked their hearing aids from audiologists. But the pairing process should be the same, unless the new iPhone is not compatible with your old Costco devices.
The process should be: restart your hearing aids (with fresh batteries), on your phone go to "settings," then "accessibility," then "hearing devices." The phone should search for a moment before finding your hearing aids. You'll then click on the discovered hearing aids and click "pair" when prompted.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
