That information about Toys For Bob at the end is already outdated as just several days ago on the anniversary of the franchise they confirmed more Crash was on the way. They've also been teasing the hell out of Wumpa League for the past year, so it's likely that they're talking about. If you're going to do more videos on Crash, you should really discuss about what happened with Crash Landed. It was originally planned to be released in 2010 and would've been the first game to be made entirely under Activision's management, but it sent the series into limbo after its cancellation. It even had a kart racing spinoff that was cancelled too, but that one has gameplay footage at least.
He's not entirely wrong. Regardless of if Wumpa League ever comes out (Which is super weird they haven't announced yet) most of the people who worked on it were already either laid off from Toys for Bob or are now working on COD: Warzone. So, while I do agree with you that there's more Crash on the way, the people who were basically responsible for his comeback were either fired or put to work in the COD Mines. So the franchise is kind of in a weird spot right now, no matter how much Activision and it's social media is trying to pretend that everything is a-ok.
I don't know how the later Lego games came out but I fondly remember the Star Wars games being pretty good and clearly well made. Also people say warzone being fun but it is still a bummer all these smaller studios with potential being absorbed by big conglomerates at best (and scum of humanity at worse). Even if it was the usual micro-transaction shitfest the remake of CTR had unlockable skins and even completely free original tracks that showed the passion of the team behind it. Benox actually made the best of their unfortunate situation.
I might be alone but crash twinsanity and crash tag team racing were ELITE. It was very different from a lot of the games at the time. It’ll always have a place in my heart, I didn’t know about all the cut content tho and how rushed it was. I didn’t notice it though when I was younger so I guess you could say that was a good thing.
I love Crash Twinsanity with all my heart despite being unfinished, the music and character design made me love every single moment I played it, not to mention Lex Lang as Cortex, omg that man is the best thing in the entire game, I adore that Cortex so much. So this game has a special place in my heart.
A video about the Jak and Daxter series would be awesome to see from you! A truly great series that has kinda just been forgotten, with some interesting history surrounding its final release, The Lost Frontier
not gonna lie, I LOVED Twinsanity. the music, the gameplay... Especially the comedy. It'd be great if traveller's tales could get a chance to try again...
I still dig the music from this one, tbh. It was the first Crash I'd played since Warped, at the time, and despite some pretty glaring progression bugs on the PS2 version, I still played the hell out of it! Thanks for the video!
Twinsanity is still my favorite Crash game honestly Sure it's short but the exploration for gems, soundtrack, and humor do give it some extra padding that still make it a really worthwhile experience
Like your channel a lot. It explains some of the inner workings of game development so consumers get more perspective about the process and environment.
You know a game is having troubled development when a piece of in-game dialogue mentions something that was cut, as it should have been two new dimensions, but they, ran out of time. But, with the resurgence in popularity for Crash lately, I hope someday all the cut content from the game could make it in a possible remaster.
I only ever played "Wrath of Cortex" as a kid, so the fact that people never really mention that one almost makes my childhood feel like a fever dream.
didn't knew twinsanity had such a rough production, it is actually my favorite crash of all time because of how funny it was. The open world was super cool too.
As a absoulte crash fanatic haveing gone through all main line games in realse from crash 1. (Except titans and MOM). This is a real hidden gem. When you play any game it should leave you with memories. And for me. The first 3 crash games. Twinsanity and tag team raceing (hub world only) do this for me.
Crash Bandicoot is very near and dear to my heart. Twinsanity was actually the first video game i ever played back when i was 3 in 2004. The fact that Activision owns it hurts my soul. One thing that isn't mentioned in the video is that the original Twinsanity team shows interest in remaking the game as they drew a congratulatory picture for Vicarious Visions after N Sane Trilogy came out. Alot of the fanbase is mixed on how they feel about that but i feel like they should get second chance with that game. All of their ideas and everything i feel would be some of the best content to come from the franchise just because it fits so well with the original ideas of Crash Bandicoot as a whole. It's a shame that Activision doesn't really care even though N Sane Trilogy, Nitro Fueled, and It's About Time did so well and were so good. Either way. Great Video as always Matt. Thanks for this one.
Twinsanity to this day remains one of my favorite Crash games, the comedic style, music, and gameplay made up for its bugs and unfinished state for me. Too bad we may never get something like it again.
It's the mid 00s so ya gotta make the "The one where he has a gun" entry to your colorful platform franchise. It always works like with beloved Sonic entry Shadow the Hedgehog.
Activision: Good work on the Crash Bandicoot games Toys for Bob. Now off to the CoD dungeon with you! Say hello to Raven Software for me while you're there.
Fuck, I was actually thinking about this game a couple days ago. Most games on Wha Happun I can laugh at, but not this one. For how undercooked this game was, it’s still extremely fun. I pray a remake with missing content comes out.
Crash Twinsanity has actually been my favorite game since i was a kid because of the idea of my favorite video game character teaming up with his villain in a semi open world with an awesome soundtrack and hilarious moments.
God I had so many good memories 100%ing this game back in the day. I was so into it I even requested my dad to take our PS2 to a relative’s house in order to keep playing. Endured a lot of trial and error but playing Twinsanity was almost as fun as the PS1 trilogy.

I'll agree that this game needs a remake. Personally, it was hard for me to like this game because the hit detection was buggy as hell and the unskippable cutscenes made it frustrating to play since I would die to obstacles I was nowhere near to and then watching the same scenes over and over. But a fixed remake? Fuck yeah dude, let's go
Iirc, a couple of the people that worked on Twinsanity got together and wrote a letter to activision(?) saying they would be interested in helping them remake Twinsanity including the missing content(since about 30 to 40% of the content got cut).
Excluding the Naughty Dog games, Crash Twinsanity is my favorite CB game. If they gave it the remake treatment and added in all the cut content that would be sick and I’d play the fuck out of it.

Thanks for that. The end of this episode made me depressed as I thought we would never get a Crash 5.
Can Vicarious Visions make it instead? TFB's Crash game sucked.
@@KeyBladeMaster-Dan The artstyle wasn't even that impressive to me.
Unfortunately, several employees of Toys for Bob that worked on Crash 4 and the Reignited Trilogy of Spyro have left the studio.
The soundtracks still amazing though
It amazes me to this day how well PS2 games were animated.
Silky smooth, lots of frames and expressive body language and face gestures.
Its kinda sad hearing about all the stress the devs went through. I wish I could tell them how much I love twinsanity its my favorite crash game
Twinsanity is literally nothing without Cortex, since he held the whole game together.
Very true.

I've always really liked how Crash has knee pads seemingly built into his pants.
@@MSCLeap75 Nah. The levels, music and humor were also very good factors of the game.
A video about the Jak and Daxter series would be awesome to see from you! A truly great series that has kinda just been forgotten, with some interesting history surrounding its final release, The Lost Frontier
Voltron Legendary Defender feels like perfect episode for What Happend?
not gonna lie, I LOVED Twinsanity. the music, the gameplay... Especially the comedy. It'd be great if traveller's tales could get a chance to try again...
Una gran manera de empezar el día.
Matt tiene uno de los mejores canales de UA-cam actuales.
Simon
I LITERALLY just remembered this game last week. This was one of my favorite childhood games.
I never thought Matt's mortal enemy, bless, would make his way into the wha happun anime
I still dig the music from this one, tbh. It was the first Crash I'd played since Warped, at the time, and despite some pretty glaring progression bugs on the PS2 version, I still played the hell out of it! Thanks for the video!
Thanks!
Twinsanity is still my favorite Crash game honestly
Sure it's short but the exploration for gems, soundtrack, and humor do give it some extra padding that still make it a really worthwhile experience
Depends if Activision decides to risk remastering it despite is very poor sales and mixed receptions.
Twinsanity will always be my favorite instalment
I was hoping for a Crash Wrath of Cortex episode, maybe someday 😊
YES, he finally mentioned Haven: Call of the King!!
Haven was ahead of it's time like the Dreamcast! Bless you sweet call of the king! lol
7:08 that's the voice actor of Cortex Lex Lang not the art director.
Absolutely incredible game despite everything that happened. Unfinished but still one of my favorites. Hoping for a remaster someday...
So sorry for Toys for Bob. They did their best.
Activision: Good work on the Crash Bandicoot games Toys for Bob. Now off to the CoD dungeon with you! Say hello to Raven Software for me while you're there.
The Fact That This Game Still Gets Love Shows How Much Of A Gem Twinsanity Really Was. I Pray It Gets A Sequel Or A Remake Someday.
This show really does show up in my feed a lot. After watching about 15 episodes in the span of 3 years I’ve finally subscribed.
The game desperately needs a remake
It sold too poorly for that to ever happen.
@@MSCLeap75 Na could still happen if fans want it enough
Dude. We get it, you don’t think it was a good game. Stop being a negative Nancy in the comments and let others be happy about a game they enjoyed.
@@starboy35tcoos First of all, who are you to tell me what to do on the internet? How can I stop you and others, who love to circle jerk this mediocre/poor game to death on the internet, from enjoying the game just by criticizing it or spitting out facts that you don't like about it? Just as you're free to praise it to high heavens despite knowing evidence that the game's simply not good, I'm free to critique this poorly made Crash game that ruined my experience of the series. I'm not attacking you from liking the game, I'm just attacking the game that I wasted $50 on for a miserable Crash Bandicoot experience. Hate when you guys take it so personally when I'm just simply bashing the game not the people that like it.
Getting really tired of people like you getting butthurt at me for criticizing a game that's not even a 7-8/10, because this shows that you can't handle opinions differing from yours about this game or facts about it not being good. And that's a childish way to handle a game you like being negatively received. There are plenty of fucking mainline Crash games(ND & post ND) I like, that are much better made than Twinsanity, that gets heavily bashed on while Twinsanity has this sweet cult of fans that act like it's the saving grace of the series when evidence proves otherwise. But I'm not personally attacking Twinsanity fans just for simply liking the game cause I can handle differing opinions and I can still enjoy the games I like despite the hate they get on the internet(ultimate echo chamber of opinions). So if you're calling me a negative Nancy, then I better not catch you crapping on any Crash game in the series.
@@starboy35tcoos Also maybe you should stop wasting your time monitoring UA-cam comment sections acting like you can gatekeep what people can say on it when you don't agree with them.
That ending reveal that Toys for Bob is just supporting CoD Warzone is so depressing
Yo, Traveller's Tales made Toy Story 2 and A Bug's Life for the PS1, they're good in my book.
Excluding the Naughty Dog games, Crash Twinsanity is my favorite CB game. If they gave it the remake treatment and added in all the cut content that would be sick and I’d play the fuck out of it.
Traveller's Tales did Dracula on SNES? So they _did_ work with Fred Fuchs.
I’m really glad Toys for Bob seems to have reinjected the franchise with Twinsanity’s humor with Crash 4
Even though it’s an unfinished game, to this day, the comedy is still hilarious! Also, the music is LEGENDARY.
The humor is definitely one thing they got right.
@@MSCLeap75 I dont think the game is very funny to be honest, besides some few scenes with Cortex is very forced and cringy for the most part. I even had more fun with the CTTR humour (mostly thanks to the park drones), or even the subtle funny moments of the trilogy.
ONE IMPORTANT THING:
Toys for Bob *ARE NOT* exclusively supporting COD. They and Beenox are still able to do their own things.
Still a great quirky experience, just needed to be a bit longer and realllyyyy needed some bug fixes. The soundtrack is amazing imo.
Imagine if Crash Twinsanity wasn't rushed
Oh Matt, I remember when you never left me alone. You wore me down and now I've been subbed for some time.
If we're finally diving into Crash, I can't wait for you to tackle the "Titans" era games. CRASH BANDICOOT WITH TRIBAL TATTOOS must be shown to the world
I'm so sad that the DS version of that game isn't as good as I thought when I was a kid
@@lagartijamuerta We all think bad games were better than they were as children. I actually played Sonic Chronicles to completion on the DS back in the day
One of my favorite games and desperately needs a rerelease &/or remake.
the fun part about crash twinsanity is that it has turned into a cult classic for mostly all of the right reasons, the most divisive part in the game itself are the evil twins being non-characters and the music being grading for some people, but it's nice that most everyone came out on top!
calling it a "handmade crash game" is a really great way to sum it up
twinsanity is very charming and fun, the writing is simple but very well done
Its so sad when good games don't sell
It actually wasn't good being all buggy and rushed.
@@MSCLeap75 idk about that, have you ever actually played it? you rarely get actual bugs, most of the game's problems are from it not running very well in later levels
@@maxithalo7796 Pretty sure I played it more than most people, and it's the most glitchy Crash game. It was the first game in my life where I can die from an invisible enemy. I'm not saying it's as buggy as Sonic 06, but bugs are more likely to occur in this game compared to most Crash games.
And this game has other issues besides glitches that don't make it good, such as bad checkpoints, unskippable cutscenes, & bad stage direction.
@@maxithalo7796 Even if it wasnt for its bugs, i dont see what other see that is so great to be consider the best of all. Even Spyro on the PS1 do the open world much better.
@@MSCLeap75 I think it was only buggy in the ps2.
Another well edited and spoken video. Always learning on this channel
Despite its flaws, Twinsanity is still by far my favorite crash game. What is there is just so perfect and I love it with all my heart. But also it hurts because I know that we could have gotten something so much better. All that cut content being cut makes me sad.
The soundtrack is my favorite video game ost of all time. using acapella was SUCH a cool concept for a crash game and it fit PERFECTLY!
That Gex voice clip made me lost it XD
I think an episode on Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time would be interesting
I concur. I don't hate the game like most people, but it does have the makings for a good WH? episode. Plus there's more stuff coming out recently about all the cut content.
I genuinely loved everything about this game tho, it's a classic to me, actually funny and innovative. Loved it as a kid and I love it now. I even played it again recently on an emulator. My only annoyance was the last boss fight.
How many more games are left on your list for this series?
Well, as long as there are more crunch time, allegations, rushed deadlines and more.... Is endless :3
I'd love to know what went on behind the scenes of Thief 4. Was apparently a shitshow.
How many bad games are there in the market?
@@FLUFFYJOE13 at least 5
@@masknzgamer Why did I hear this in the voice of Scott the Woz?
Its an unfinished buggy masterpiece.
This game was godlike man, its so sad to see what happened to it.
My favourite Crash game. I loved breaking this game
I've been enjoying these videos, they’re quite informative. I would personally like a 'What Happened' with Ratchet & Clank during the PS4 era. There was only one game released and there was also the Ratchet & Clank movie that was a flop. I think it killed off a Sly Cooper movie from being made too.
Or the Future saga. I dipped my toes into Tools of Destruction's development and how the fuck that did that game not turn out a dumpster fire, much less a good game, baffles me.
And ACiT... htf Insomniac managed to squeeze that game in less than a year of full development makes me scream internally.
I remember there was a full page ad for Vex in Nintendo Power that went "No Rings... No Coins.... PLAYTIME IS OVER"
What happened? A goddamn masterpiece is what happened
That's if it was actually good, which it wasn't.
Crash Twinsanity is the game I have suggested in the comments on several videos, happy it got covered!
If you really think about it, the reason why the Bandicoot crashed and burned, it's pretty Twinsane.
Heyoooo
It always ends up in my recommended videos but I'm always happy when this series ends up there.
Damn it Matt, the GBA Crash games that weren’t the crossover were actually pretty good. I remember playing one of them.
Also what’s a Haven Call of The Who?
A very messy game with an incredibly bad ending [made worse by the heavy sequel bait for a sequel that never had a chance of happening] that was written as ripoff biblical allegory, just with a smearing of star wars over the top.
I played it when I was a kid, and loved it.
I was a very... very stupid child.
@@TwistedChungus what the fuck?
@@setsers1 It was a reply to EnragedEric's question about Haven: Call of the King [which I probably could've made clearer]. Reading my comment, without the... experience... of seeing the game yourself probably *does* kinda make me come off as a raving lunatic, doesn't it...?
Who would have ever imagined when this video was released that the entire Activision/Blizzard group is in the process to become part of the Xbox Game Studios group, with poor Crash and Spyro thrown into the storm.
If Phil Spencer sticks into his word of saving Toys for Bob from the COD hell to have them make new games, I would like to see Twinsanity remastered without the bugs and with most (if not all) of the cut content brought back.
That would be a dream come true.
The fact that Caddicarus didn’t collab with you on this one is a sin

It’s so weird to see how travelers tales progressed over the years
Since this show covers all media, i think it would be neat to get into comics by covering Spider-Man’s Clone Saga
