You don't need to be as far away from the gun as possible just hold space and then double e.

I think it works better if you look the direction the minigun is pointing instead of in the direction that you want to jump

Man I've seen people get launched 500 ft in the air too bad the old turret glitch doesn't still work that was awesome you had to have the game before survival mode came out to know what I'm talking about but you used to be able to just melee the gun turret over and over and over again in the direction you wanted to fly and then jump on the turret and it would launch you so f****** far

That was a weird glitch. Punch a gun to get launched into frigging space. 🤔

It will throw you in that direction yes but I'm not sure if you'll fly that far.
