I always disliked the format of my older Budokai reviews - so I took the time to update them with some editing skills I’ve picked up along the way. Hope you enjoy!
Great breakdown of these three absolute classics, man! One thing I'd like to add, I definitely believe Uub had a secret battle or two. I have a memory of trying to unlock the the "Z1-Z3" difficulties and using Uub's story to do it since it was the shortest, and there was definitely a path that ended up with Uub fighting Omega Shenron. Unfortunately this was long ago so I don't remember the unlock requirements.
We spent hours playing hot seat at my friend's house with the Budokai games. Me and one guy would have epic duels that everyone looked forward to watching. The weird thing was when I lost I would pass the controller, people would say, it's hot. When my friend did, it was ice cold. I don't know how he lowered the controller temperature. Hot and sweaty makes sense, cold doesn't lol. Love these games.
Waited for and watched all three of these separately once i saw the retrospective for the first Budokai, and i love getting to watch these all in one package. Gives me that nostalgic feeling and relatability to my experiences with these games. Can't wait on the Tenkaichi retrospectives and maybe one day a super dragon ball z?
The only reason I can come up with for cell's being blue is because the official full color manga only goes up to Frieza, After that saga the rest of the manga was only done in black in white.
As far as Cells blue Kamahameha, it's likely to be his "Perfect" version just to prove the difference between him and the other users of the move and his own Perfection
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective.
Although it’s been awhile (as of this comment) since I’ve played the Tenkaichi series, your comment made me remember the feelings of playing through it as a kid. I do agree that BT1 ALWAYS had the best intro. Gave me chills watching it back in the day, and I’m absolutely looking forward to diving back into it soon.
Dbz budokai 2 was the 1st game I got for my 11th birthday so I have so much nostalgia for that game but not my favorite anymore just hated shaking the Joystick every time but I liked the crazy fusions. In middle school my friend let me borrow Budokai 3 and that was awesome blowing up planets, storymode, more characters and hated dragon rush sometimes. I played Budokai 1 when the HD collection came was bummed when 2 wasn't included. I thought the game was ok kinda stiff controls I kinda like the playdough graphics, wish it went to the Buu saga
So I personally always loved com vs com lol. I’m not super skillful at these games. So I like seeing and setting up fantasy fights of the characters I like at their max potential. (And not having to get my butt kicked personally 😂)
I like rock music and that theme song resonates with me because it was what I heard as a 4 year old. Brings back those sweet happy memories. Keep in mind the purpose of this video was to fix some editing mistakes from some of my very first vids (the ones here). So while that is my opinion, the way I phrased it was certainly not ideal
Rock the dragon my favorite song then I heard cha la head cha la then I wish other dragon ball game bring back rock the dragon I hate every dragon ball game and show kept using cha la head cha la I'm tried of it I prefer rock theme
@mysteriousthirteen if you grew up in america when anime was bearly on air back then why would the Japanese sound REMOTLY better than English Rock the dragon , some people genuinely do like cha la better but alot of people only like it better after becoming an adult following Dogmatic belife of "Japanese dub = Better"
Everyone is sleeping on Rock The Dragon 😮💨
Awesome video!

So is the review content the same just with different editing
Or Is the script entirely different?
It’s my original 3 Budokai reviews with some better editing, pacing and less important info cut out
This is absolutely outstanding
Thanks bro!
0:39 Damn, is it me or is it getting hot around here...?🔥 Nice editing btw! Can't wait for Tenkaichi retrospective 🤗
Can’t wait for you to see it!
One last video before I ho to sleep.
The video:
Late night tonight? 😅
Wait what about Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World

These games are all fantastic and so nostalgic. Can’t wait for Sparking Zero!

15:10 Its called a "By" or a Bypass, in sports the best team skips the first round because of their prestige
I had no idea! Thanks for the info

Glad you enjoyed the video man!
I actually do have a super dragon ball z retrospective! It’s called “The Father of FighterZ”, check my channel!
@@mysteriousthirteen awesome! Will definitely check it out!
Budokai2 my first one and it has my heart ❤️ forever
New subscriber here! You have awesome content man keep going! consistency is key! 💯💪🏼
Appreciate you bro!
Classic Games
So to answer the yellow Kamehameha question. The Kamehameha was yellow in the manga so that's why they made it yellow idk why cells is blue.
I can appreciate that. Still Should’ve kept it consistent lol
@@mysteriousthirteen I agree

Hurcules mode was the funniest mode EVER
Vegeta's hair from the side use to piss me off as a kid on budokai 1.
Budokai 3
COM - is simply the computers IQ/difficulty if character is chosen as Custom to fight against
Interesting. Just an odd stat to add to a skill tree wouldnt you say?
Budokai: The Movie
Precisely
You should do making create a video of on how they should have made development and added to budokai 2 before they made it and released it

Yeah I can understand that 😂 tbh I used to do it too and make what if story’s as a kid hahah
The kamehameha is yellow in the manga
2:39 thats a funny joke, made me laugh.
@@theIJPmexican my most controversial take ever apparently lol
My dude just said “box” instead of “square” 😂
It’s a real bad habit 😂
💀
"adult gohan" my boy is only 16 😭
Who in the damn hell calls it BOX? I've never heard anyone before this call the square button BOX and I'm fuckin twisted over it.
Bro really glowed up mid review.
Hair was looking crazy back then 😂

Dislike for the disrespect over the original DBZ theme.
Not disrespect brotha just preference
I like rock the dragon I grew up with that theme playing on cartoonnetwork
I like rock the dragon and step to the grand tour
