    If you dont use log at night, do you still use a picture profile thats still some what flat? Like for sony some people use Cine presets which has less dynamic range than log but easier to use and Im sure canon has something equivalent

      He does have a 15-35mm lens listed in his gear list so i am going to assume that's what he is using for rollers.

      Wider, even with the gymbal, in-camera stabilization and lens stabilization, at 50mm it would be shaky, so he does go wider

    Summary…
    You need to spend 10k on camera gear LOL!
    Can you do one of these videos on a budget though? I challenge ya bruz.
    I’m sure you can do this with a M50 with a sigma 16mm f1.6 and a tripod, Or even an iPhone 12 Pro Max and above?

    its good and all, but to get those kinds of settings/gear. thats a lot of money. and usually people who spend that kind of money arent asking the question on how to shoot at night and i think it might give a lot of the people who are searching this a false expectation.

    • @spamsubie
      @spamsubie  2 роки тому

      Hey there! You can definitely find a used or older full frame camera body for a decent price. Same goes for lenses, I'm also not saying to go get an expensive f/1.2 lens - but rather to set your aperture as low as you can. Ultimately these are all suggestions, you definitely don't need to go out and spend money on new gear. Just follow these basic camera rules as close as your gear allows and hopefully the footage comes out better than if you had no knowledge at all. I'm only trying to help, I just happen to have "expensive" gear from doing client work for years now.

    A full frame camera is not needed at all. Most cinema cameras are super 35 which is the same as apsc

    • @spamsubie
      @spamsubie  Рік тому +1

      Super 35 and APSC are smaller sensors, so less light is captured. Full frame will always be better for low light. I use a super 35 myself (and I personally love it) but in this case for night filming, full frame is preferred!

    • @castielvargastv7931
      @castielvargastv7931 Рік тому

      @@spamsubie no one cares if full frame is better in low light , apsc is the first choice for hollywood and smaller sensors are more than good enough for filming cars at night,. The results of a canon r5 are not better than of a fuji apsc, Crop sensors have other advantages also. Full frame is a photography thing. All fast and furious night scrnes are shot with a super 35 sensor, good enough for you?
