The peat moss compostable cups require way more nitrogen than your providing. I worked in a greenhouse for several years, this is pretty common. Think of it this way, when you make compost you add greens to your browns to provide a proper ratio for effective decomposition. What has happened is all of your nitrogen has been locked up in the decomposition process. If you want an organic solution, dilute fish emulsion should remedy this. Otherwise some general purpose liquid feed fertilizer will fix that.one more thing to consider is a possible bacterial, viral, or fungal contamination in your peat cells, One year we lost over a third of our plants. Stay positive, they should come out of it. Oh and if your tomato plants get tobacco mosaic virus spary the whole entire plant with whole milk, its a natural anti-viral for mosaic, hope this helps.

Awesome information thank you. I've lost about half of my plants so far. They went in the ground today, I took the pots off so hopefully they turn around.

My beans did the same this year. The ones I grew in solo cups look fine, but the ones that were in the compostable cups are clearly having a hard time, even after planting in the ground.

I'm hoping they come back. Planted them in the ground today and took all the cups off. We will see.

@@JDSOutdoorsI looked at them on Amazon and noticed they have no drainage holes. If you were watering those pots like the plastic ones it could just be that they were overwatered. Just something to think about.
