About the only thing you missed is when you're leveling and get ghost wolf at 20 and feel like the fastest, most awesome dude for about 10 levels. Man that alone made me happy leveling a shaman alt after my warrior in Classic.
You go to shaman after getting pissed on your warrior when you charge a shaman and they drop a slow totem while jumping into ghost wolf then run a circle around you too close to intercept to far to hit and casting heals on the teammate of theirs killing your healer in arena ?
They did not pay the tithe. Windfury totem was a very complex spell it required a slot on the bar that was full of important spells like. FROST SHOCK and earth shock and FROST SHOCK. Along with every other more important totem like grounding totem and nature resist oh and the all important sentry totem only the most important totem of all... Just pay the tithe and you too can get the blessing of a "windfury" totem.
This was why I used all gem slots for manareg in BC despite my raid lead being angry about it. Lot's of bosses where I reached a point of several seconds unable to do anything. Only thing I could hope for was that one spell that refilled your mana (from paladings I think?)
@@H1kari_1 lol, I used to do the same thing. I was constantly told it would hurt the team but they went silent when other would run out and there I was still firing away. Min/maxers really ruined the game.
@@aliasoma Then me and my buddys (we are all paladins) must play our class wrong. We are all MT heals and run never out of mana in every boss encounter so far in all classic raids.

I once signed up for a pug raid on discord on my alliance char thinking "oh, a lot of shamans in this one" and didn't realize until I whispered for inv and the game said "player cannot be found"
People play classic today that don't play the modern game where alliance have shamans for the majority of wows existence at this point that wouldn't know how totems work? I bet any alliance players just learning this are no different then the just as bad horde player who also don't know this who might even be shamans and never figured out what pulled aggro, they would be doing well to even notice they died first unless someone cast a heal before that mob got to them in their party.
@@NeverSuspects Yes there are people that play classic that don't play retail lol. And also in retail if you don't play resto there's a decent chance you don't use totems at all as a shaman. And even then, the most common non-resto one (totem mastery) doesn't pull mobs ever.
no there was a bug with that totem that allowed you to get a view from its location so you just dropped it midair and could negate any falldamage with it.
How do you skip dragonkins?! The only dragonkin we leave alive is the stationary one, because we can't just skip the patrols. Well, I guess we could, but from what I could make up, it would be a huge effort to coordinate and everyone has to buy invisipots - all to solve a very tiny obstacle in an unconventional and inefficient (if only a bit faster) way.
@@etaxalo Do they? Hmmmm. Do they respawn like mobs in the dungeons? But that should take a lot of time to happen... Idk, all I know is that they don't respawn in the level 80 version they have in retail, but that is not something to compare to
@@Makujah_ They dont necessarily "respawn" per say but when you engage ony 3 dragonkin do spawn 2 by the entrance to her lair 1 Pat i think its to stop you running out to the entrance during deep breathe either way they all despawn once ony dies so they aren't the same ones you kill while walking to her.
Does nobody remember sentry totem allows you to do large falls? When you cast sentry totem it freezes you in the place, and recasting it allows some more fall and recasting it stops it etc. Boom, safe landing.
Ragnarok May i for some reason only like suboptimal specs. They’re fun to try to make work, and feral / boom kin would likely be my secondary choice to enhance shammy. I find it ridiculous that people think these specs can’t properly raid when they’ve been optimized to the point where they’re more powerful than the majority of players 16 years ago that managed to clear the content without a single idea of what they were doing.
Lol druid is lifebloom, efflorescence, lifebloom, lifebloom, lifebloom, lifebloom, efflorescence, go get pizza rolls, lifebloom, efflorescence. Of course you can sub in a 15 second nap for the pizza rolls

Why Classic never can be Vanilla. It doesn't include the glory days of Sentry Totem being able to stop you in air. Used that so fucking much everywhere. Saved my ass so many times on AV bridge, while also killing a ton of allies. Best thing is you could heal in air.
There was nothing more painful to me as a shaman main in vanilla than being forced to be a heal/buffbot on raids when im literally beating warriors to death as an enhance shaman. plop down my totems, spam chain heal, lather rinse repeat. "Oh no, you cant have that 2h sledge, thats for primary dps! Here, have a sorcerous dagger. "
In original vanilla you could use sentry totem to cheat a fall like that, by changing the point of view to the totem midair. I don't know if that's fixed on classic

When AB was released and the only way to enter was to go to the actual portal, I would ride to the cliffs over Refuge Point, drop Sentry Totem, jump down over the portal and switch to the totem's PoV. My shaman would hover in the air and I would cast lightning down on the people standing outside the portal.
@@Shianky they do it just to grief players by purging their world buffs. My server has priests/shaman sitting dead in the inn/mage tower just waiting for alliance with world buffs to hearth/port so they can rezz and purge them. Some have even gone so far as to glitch under stormwind and find ways to purge through the ground

And only that cause it procs 2 times
Cdew got a lucky proc and did over 10k damage during phase 2 or 3, it was a hand of rag with all crits as well.

It's Classic, the optimal spec is the one that shows up to raid mostly sober.
People just want 2 hours raids, they don't like going slower. Also gear is more impactful to better specs. I think thats why

I use 2 heals as a pally. FoL 3 and FoL 6
and make sure the mana bars goes up as he casts it

I miss the old, OLD days when you could drop a sentry totem on the way down to stop your fall. That was the true shaman jump off TB.
those were the times... though it did not stop your fall when placing it but you simply received no fall dmg after switching to the sentry's PoV
