I think it would be more accurate is when you cast fear and at that point doesnt matter what youre going to cast they WILl run out of range. Or when you ran away from a mob, fear it and it gets a boost run ahead of you and hit you from the front...
my favorite spot is blacksmith at AB. there is always someone in your team who think it would be smart to hide in the house or under the bridge at half-health when you are about to heal him
It’s because they have full hp (from being healed) and no mana. So they feel ready to go into the next pack. Pro tip: keep them around 60% hp so they don’t feel ready to charge in, then drink.
@zarphani when i need mana and my group is still recovering, i just throw down a healing stream totem and drink. it will fully heal them by the time you have adequate mana, and if it doesnt, top them off with a R1 chain heal or two. you should have your comfortable % mana when combat starts using this method :) if they are in a hurry that much, they can bring their own food, bandage or ping the mages for some

I learned a bit into dungeons in classic, the hard way, drink first and then heal before the next pull. I always wanted to heal up and then drink because of the 5sr and all, but if they’re full on hp they won’t stop. >.

I feel that pain. I've mained as healers since I started playing 15 years ago and it was somehow always my fault when things went wrong. Impatient maniac of a tank decides to blitz through an entire dungeon with no mana breaks? Healer sucks. Warlock, priest, or warrior send a group of mobs running and pull a whole room? Clearly my fault. Tank/DPS have no idea how to manage aggro? L2heal nub.
just recently one of the off tanks on garr that i healed started blaming me for his death, suggesting me how i should heal him etc. The reason he died is he kept getting out of range for any of the healers in the raid to heal him, i told him and got no reply
I started classic with my wife who had never played WoW and first explained to her the "rules" I learned in classic and have loved since: If the tank dies it's the healer's fault. If the healer dies it's the tank's fault. If someone else dies it's their own fault. (Except ofc when tanks rush into next pull while healer is still regging)
Yup I witnessed that when I played Scarlet Monastary and the tank would not let us have mana break and eventually he died and he said "fucking healer" 😂

See but I’ve done alliance PvP and it always seemed like the horde won. I’d try to use communication with my team and either get told to stfu or I get silence so I swapped horde and had the exact same experience. The alliance was even winning.

While it also applies to druids, could have had a priest throw out a renew and have the war go charging past every mob holding agro for about 1/2 a second before that renew tick and then every mob goes to melt the priest.
Left out the scene where the priest has to res the 5 zugs who died to bad because the shamans never seem to unless its a full wipe w/ankh up. And then proceed to drink so you can rebuff the dead only to get bitched at for not being ready for the next pull.
Used to be an old bug in Booty Bay where if you MC'd someone, the guards would attack the MC target as long as they were closer. You could then jump off the dock and levitate on the water to escape like a boss.
As someone that played a priest when Arathi Basin was released this really made me laugh. Of course, shadow priests to level 49 were fucking unstoppable in vanilla.
The class is still the same, same can’t be said about the players. Players nowadays that play none mana classes don’t seem to have a brain to know mana users need to drink. During vanilla for the majority, are more considerate; most classic players play the game like it’s retail were resources management is just a afterthought
Into the lava in Blackrock, my friend. Into the lava. As a Holy Priest, this was the only satisfactory payback for all the times I got ganked leveling or was crushed in PvP. Holy Priest may be soft and squishy but we make you swim in the lava like a little fishy!
The ONE thing you forgot was hiding in the bushes near the Alliance Arathi Basin GY. Then mind controlling people as they ress and making them run thru the portal, thus abandoning the BG.
I loved my NE Priest. Shadowmeld is amazing. Would hang out in Shadowmeld near popular quest mob packs and Mind Control Horde into them. Watch them get hammered
Back in the day My LVL 60-night elf shadow Priest named Silent I would shadow melt and when they would try to turn the flag, I would mind control them off the edge all the time.
man, I miss the times when "power word" shield actually shielded you. These days, it falls off with a single hit from a critter, they could honestly remove it and no one would notice :(
Well I always enjoyed playing Priest. If I'm not mistaken, I spent many points into Discipline talents just for the mana sustain. I ran marathons in raids instead of Healing Meter sprints. Damn it. I miss WoW.
Shaman and warrior were the ultimate combo. I remember rolling around in full naxx gear with my pack of feral warriors, although just 1 was needed. 2 person team could camp a entire warsong team in their own graveyard.
This should be easy. The DPS go to the instance/raid and then the tank(s) and healers get summoned because who the F wants to deal with getting there when you have DPS to do it for you.
Yeah warrior on the leash was outstanding. Yes whenever the raid wipes you always blame the healer even if it was the tank fault for not being able to hold aggro. Then you get blamed for not being able heal through someone getting one shotted.
I realize this is an old comment, this is for future readers, I don't expect a response from Vincent. In my experience, 90% of issues are the fault of the DPS because they play for topping the damage meter instead of using their brains and playing as part of a group. If the DPS pulls agro, they blame the tank (even when it is the DPS' fault). If the party wipes, they blame the healer (even when it is the DPS' fault). If the DPS are smart, you can still do a lot with a crappy tank or healer. As long as they are not all up suicidal (deliberately pulling multiple encounters), if you play slow, smart, and keep your distance as you clear, you can pull off a lot.
Yeah, as enh shaman I used to switch windfury for agility totem as far as some melee in my melee party approach 4th position in aggrolist. And after any aggro drop as well, start with agility, switch it to windfury and back to agility eventually. Cost some potions to play with totems like this, but making melee dd kicking worth it. Or even for tranquility totem if it's melee dd party and not just tank/melee extension group.

As a resto shaman I was constantly fighting with warriors to slow the F*** down. So true!
I was a priest and also the lead healer for my guild. This was a constant issue for every warrior except our two main tanks.
