    Where did you find that replacement part? Is it the one online that says it’s for vw Jetta?

    Dude, that black wire comes from the alternator and carries all amperage for the whole car. It doesnt look good, probably need to replace it. Turn on the engine, turn on all electrics, ac radio headlights, main beam, heated seats, if its too hot to the touch you know what you need to do.

      I have the same problem I go thru fuse boxes every 3 months that black wire gets super hot all the time, do you know what would fix this issue ?

      @@marleybrown4554 replace the loom from alternator to fuse box, should be about 60eur from audi/vw. Alternatively you can DIY replace the big black cable from alternator to fusebox but you need proper tool to crimp the end connectors..

    I had a similar issue with my audi. Did you find why did it melt? Was there an over consumption of some sort or just old and crappy plastics?
