Another excellent video. Full of interest. How nice to see stuff fixed rather than thrown away. This is what worries me with cars becoming more digital and less analogue. The only thing wrong with my TT is the LCD display which misses some pixels at times. Imagine the owner of a modern car 15 years down the line with a dead screen on the dashboard rendering it unusable. Oh, I forgot to say the driver's heated seat doesn't work either. Another electrical bit.

Great video! I am always amazed by the British car shows such as Wheeler Dealers and your vids. There is always someone who can fix/repair those little bits. Dash gauges, turbos, wheels, injectors.....it seems like you can always find a repair. Here in the states you just need to replace it. Nobody can do anything anymore! It fascinating to watch this guy work on the repair, his knowledge just blows me away!

Excellent and careful repair and Sean's a top bloke. However, in the end it seems that the display suffers from what most repair displays suffer, ie its too bright on the outside of letters (compare brightness with the two small displays left and right)... The original DIS display has the same brightness. Some people fix this with some smoked adhesive on the replacement display.. unfortunately the original display with the blue ribbon is NLA

£110 (when collected in person). £119 when we ship it back. We encourage TT owners to get in touch first so we can help verify that anything other than a bad LCD is actually a cluster fault vs a fault elsewhere.

Help with my cluster!! It went, sent it to a specialist, who repaired, reprogrammed. Worked fine for 3 weeks, then same thing happened. But with a difference. The side light light on the dadh was perm on. Sent it back, they cant find a fault. Re connected and it worked. Went to pick up the car, and it went again. Does it need a new cluster?

LoL here I am, a year latter answering this feedback.
Do you know what I think the difference in speed from 0-80km/h was in the end!!
The hand brake was only just two clicks, when I first got the car.
Plus the rear pads were coating the rims in brake dust.
I just thought they were different (dusty)pads to the front.
Those same pads have stopped caking the rims in dust...
LOL, the increase in acceleration is more than likely due to the pads wearing down.
      : )

    Re the fuel guage.
I listened intently but I still missed the part about the fuel guage needle.
    So.
My 2000 model reads ½ when its actually empty. The low fuel warnings all work correctly as if it is on empty and reserve
Can I just adjust the needle position by removing and replacing it to the correct position?
Sorry.. but I'm a little hearing impaired and some things I just don't hear correctly.
    Thanks again.

My dash display I would say is about 85% good (few missing lines) and the Fuel gauge is slow to show its value when filled up at the pump, speed +revs and temp all fine.
