S2400 is throaty,heavy, full of midrange...MPC3000 is open more highs,and not as flat..Love them both..I have multiple samplers for that same reason..
The S2400 is the great drum machine of the decade for sure. The value is unmatched and with all the updates and new hardware upgrades that are soon to come just take it over the top. Analog filters for all 8 outs 😫😍.
This machine will become legendary in its own right. Can you imagine the upgrades that can be done in the future. Limitless. The fact that it can be 12bit crunchy and 16bit clean just puts it way out there. Only my Eurorack Modular ALM Busy Circuits Squid Salmple can offer that lofi crunch in the same way.

My brother, on the S2400 can you nudge notes on the grid l? Similar to how you can on the MPC?

SP is my first love but my unit broke down due to age long ago. Really considering getting a S2400 and calling it a day.

How’s the s2400 syncing up with Ableton? How do you Mixx the tracks off the s2400?
It’s fine. On my Mac I have audio devices set up with s2400. When I want audio to play via Ableton I Go into preferences on Ableton and Set your audio input device to ISLA instruments S2400. (It syncs up even without doing that.). On the S2400, shift > sync and select clock USB B. All seems to work fine. Play around with that initially. I tend to record my tracks as audio stems then export to pro- tools for mixing. Just my preference. You can mix in Ableton after recording.

Agree, for my at home setup, I prefer the S2400 workflow.
Peace. @HarryMindGameTV Two questions I maybe able to help. What Version of scsi2sd is installed in the mpc3000? What total size is the SD card ie 16gb etc? Send me an email and I forward you the configuration file for the scsi2sd Utility program
