Just hit fujin as bryan and a question occurred, at what rank do people stop mashing, and when do people stop using get up attacks when theyre on the ground in the corner, id like to start using taunt on wakeup but people still be pressing buttons in the outro cutscene
No they won’t stop mashing ! Not even at high rank ! At high ranks it becomes mentally frustration ! Then mental games start happening ! What if he press or what he steps ! If my opponent is going to press I’ll jet upper after b1 or qcb3 ! And if he gonna step I’ll use ff4 ! Same goes for my opponent! He will do qcb3 into df21 I should step and hopkick ! Or he gonna do qcb3 into ff4 I should do fast move to counter him ! Even at arcades people don’t respect at all man !
Now the wake up part ! Taunt is guaranteed when people tech role ! Do double taunt after you finished the combo !
In t8 never go look at the t8 subreddit there are dudes in blue that don't even know their staples, how to kbd, any of their punishes. Hell quite afew don't even bother side stepping and are out grinding their one and does to keep their ranks up. It's crazy this game has worse rankflation than later seasons of t7.
They will never stop using what you don’t condition them to stop using. When you run up side step right to avoid wake up kicks and launch or punish
In order to make a taunt, you need to take very mini dashes or side steps while getting close to the opponent. Sometimes my character uses 1+3 even though I entered the input correctly. for taunt . Do you have any advice for this mini dashes? Example 7:09 . This is hard i think ? but beatiful :D
Use one of the extra buttons aside the standard four attacks to set up a 1+3+4 marco to consistently get down the taunt input. Make sure to leave a neutral input after the microdash before taunting to avoid getting the grab by mistake
Forgot to mention, you can get this button input mapped in the controller settings
Be sure to have your forward movement stopped, if you’re still pressing “f” you’ll get the throw instead of taunt…that’s even if you have mapped buttons. Bryan still requires precision even with simpler controls.
When you get counter hit ws 3 4’s last hit ! You have mental advantage as well on your opponent ! You have to utilize that advantage! Otherwise I’ve noticed that they reduced the taunt range as well 🥲
Btw I’ve bonded 3+4 on my sticks lower buttons besides 4 ! Then I just press 1 and do the taunt ! At the start while learning this game holding 1+4 and pressing 3 didn’t work for me :p
