All i can guess, these are the types of Cinematography.. winterosy is learning to become a movie director and producer and i can see his passion through his videos
ok i'm not trying to sound like a copypasta or anything but 65k is nowhere near enough subscribers for the caliber of content that you put out. you obviously put so much effort into your videos and have incredible editing skills, i dread to imagine how long it would take me to make a video like this or any of your others yet you still put content out consistently. you discuss such interesting topics that don't get touched upon often within kpop BUT ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE, and you often remind me why i even got so interested in kpop in the first place; it's an art form. nerdy kpop is one of my favourite genres of youtube content and no one does it quite like winterrosy.
Oh, I love me some "nerdy", exploring the art that is the music, the videos and performances etc but I don't think I'm too familiar with those K-tubers. Obviously Winterosy is the GOAT but could you recommend me other channels like this?
@@sameerakhan7455 honestly, I'm pretty sure winterosy is the only ktuber that's actually here for the music, but I would also recommend nctiddy since she also does stuff like that!
i swear im talking out of my ass again but lord hear me out. i feel like the 2nd main reason why i (and maybe a few other folks) became so interested in kpop besides the catchy ass songs was definitely the cinematography of kpop mvs/teasers/moodboards. i gen love when creative directors ACTUALLY put the *creative* in creative directing into use. the way how certain mvs are filmed in such a way brings such interest to people in love with cinematography and film like me (even though im an artist primordially). maybe thats why i fell in love with groups like LOONA, Red Velvet, tripleS, LADIES’ CODE and so many more groups with absolutely uniquely filmed mv’s. ik some people that just skim over mv’s and their cinematography, but i cant deny the fact that the way kpop mvs are filmed are the main reason why me and maybe even some people have become so attracted to kpop and what it has to offer. 💕
Honestly, I think I'm a lot more into cinematography that I thought. To preface, I always used to wonder how the film was shot, when the way it was filmed was even more impactful and tried to figure the deeper meaning films were trying to portray but obviously, when someone keeps talking a bit too much, it ruins the movie for others and manyatimes, the movies were comedy and action so I just learnt to stop thinking and just enjoy nonsense. However, this video definitely ignited my wonder and curiosity. Songs oftentimes sound BETTER for me when I watch the music videos. Yes, it means I'm more focused on the song but when they compliment each other, they compliment each other SO EXTREMELY WELL. Songs like 'Girls Never Die', 'Automatic', 'Feel My Rhythm', 'Blood, Sweat & Tears', 'Deja Vu' (DC one. I prefer TXT's anemoia remix tho), 'Psycho', 'Drama', 'Armageddon' and especially GFRIEND M/V's (most specifically, Crossroads. So much so it became ny favorite song) and the sort are my absolute favorites. Now that I notice, most of them seem to have a similar sort of vibe which I don't think I can pinpoint just yet. Hopefully someone sees my choices and maybe helps me by letting me what vibe they think the songs have, it'd be really cool Edit: HOW COULD I FORGET THE QUEEN THE IS IVE'S 'OFF THE RECORD'!?!?!? 'Love Dive' wirh the greek mythology is great as well. Also, Taeyeon's 'INVU' with it's more simplistic yet filled with storytelling music video.
YES i completely agree and i think kpop started creeping into the global mainstream around the time that mainstream western pop had started to turn lacklustre in these kinds of aspects (although some artists are bringing the creativity back now!!) i really got into kpop beyond the music for the artistry in the MVs and the storytelling (as a writer who is also very into film, seeing the way storytelling works in kpop is intensely fascinating and i haven't gotten tired of it all these years in as well) but yes kpop has so much to offer artistically outside the music!!
a music video i think perfectly incapsulates Sofia Coppola's style of cinematography is the Cool With You music video by Newjeans. it's calm and dark, yet bold and leaves you questioning life.
I love when kpop content creators, be it editors, fanartist or otherwise include elements of what they do outside of their kpop content creator personas into the stuff they create. I haven't quite seen a video like this in kpop youtube. Maybe they might exist, but I've either never come across them, they've never piqued my interest, or they haven't reached this level of quality. I love when creators grow with the content they post, it just shows they effort they put into becoming better at their craft and the overall passion they have for what they do. This video is absolutely spectacular.
