We need more actors like Shohreh Aghdashloo. Her voice, her cultural heritage, her nationality and accent, her talent gave life to lots of characters such as one found in League of Legends Arcane and this series Expanse. We need people of her caliber. We will miss her. Her work in Expanse was amazing. Looks like people from other countries must reach the tv screen. Shohreh was unexpected. Now I'm aware that sci fi writers and game developers are more aware of multi national actors like Shohreh. This opens the world even further for writing, development and design of these shows.
You missed one of Avasarala's best roles in House of Sand and Fog for which she was Oscar nominated as Best Supporting Actress. She's also done a lot of voice work in some big video games --- she's fantastic.
I came over here to the expanse because she plays a robot called Lakshmi in the game destiny. I thought it was effects to make her voice like that but it's her actual chords. It's completely perfect for the character in game.
Not to discount any of the cast, because they are all great in their roles, but Bobbie is just a total Bad Ass. I love the character and it's well played.
I have met Cara Gee in person, and she is definitely not the hardass she is in the show at all LOL! She was very nice and very generous with her time indulging myself and a few other superfans invited to a private screening of Season 2 finale with a large number of the crew and a couple other cast members. She is also extremely short haha, they definitely use camera angles and other tricks to give her the belter height 😂
The cast is stellar. Every one of them is great. Cara Gee is definitely an awesome presence and favorite but every single one of the central staff had amazing moments. Dominque Tipper’s season 5 performance was a tour de force. Shohreh Aghdashloo commanded every scene she was in. Same with all the guys whether it’s Steven’s reluctant rising hero, Wes’s brute with a heart, Cas’s lost pilot, Thomas’s amazing film noir detective or Keon’s megalomaniacal warlord, they all killed it. It’s really hard to think of other shows with better or even as good acting and chemistry among the cast. Expanse is what you get when you combine great acting, writing and production. I wish all shows could have that.
Leaving out Alex was really disrespectful and not correct: maybe he did wrong things, but still he had a long and major part of the show and did it very well! Deleting somebody from the past, because... is Stalin-style retro-censoring.
Word on my life I would have thought Frankie was older, and I don't mean that in a bad way like she looks aged, just in how she carries herself. A '90s child I would not have guessed at all.

Dominique is 33 and her son Filip looks like he's 24? Also keon looks like he's in his mid 30s. I always thought Filip looked much too old to be their son.
