Most of the parts were cast very well, the only one really not fitting her role is Naomi Nagata / Dominique Tipper. It´s not like the actress does not try; she simply does not fit the character with her outgoing and emotional acting style. The original Naomi would be more logic and eventually more intelligent than Holden. A very level-headed, reserved woman with a tense presence, getting relaxed only with her friends, and even then being mostly the calm one. Seldomly making jokes herself, but okay with situational comedy. There was never any drama in the books with her, if she was under any stress, she got even quieter but the thoughts were racing. In the first episodes, i could see Tipper tried it, but then simply made the role her own. Which made Naomi a troubled Drama Queen.
It's so "not Drummer" to hear someone who sounds and looks like Drummer, but she also doesn't sound and look exactly like Drummer. Cara Gee is an incredible actress to manage to pull off such a different persona when embodying Drummer.
Whenever i finish this series, i start it over from the beginning. Its just that good, a masterclass in acting and storytelling. Hands down the best sci fi series.
This is because they’ve done a perfect job of making you feel you’re in the world, it’s so believable. I’ve watched it 6 times in the last 2 years it’s that good. And I’m not done!

Cara is hypnotizing when she's in character, she's just that good. And Keon's character isn't given enough credit, he is killing it. I think he's doing such a good job, everybody really hates him so they don't talk about how skilled he is and how he's really made Marcos into this arrogant, psychotic, sociopathic, selfish monster.

He's a perfectly nice guy, but when you see him in character it's like "what and absolute piece of shit !". I'm no expert but I don't think that's easy to do.
I'm deeply uneasy when I see Keon as Marco on screen. I want to follow him into battle, and at the same time I want to get as far away from him as possible and follow him nowhere. Keon does such a great job of making an extreme character believable and real. Marco Inaros voice is wound so tightly, I would've never guessed Alexander's natural voice is so relaxed and gentle.
It is always amusing to see Cara being interviewed. The way she morphs into the character of Drummer is testament to an actress of the highest quality. Keon has also been hugely impressive in his portrail of Marco, too. Indeed, as an ensemble the casting throughout this series has been extraordinary. This is sci-fi for adults
What blows my mind in the interview is how incredibly and vastly different and nice Keon and Cara are compared to Drummer and Marcos are in the series. Their characters are so intensely well played they are up there with Oscar worthy performances. The depth and complexity that they portray is simply amazing. By far my two favourite characters in a long, long time.
I'm already missing the show and it's not even over yet.. how sad is that lol.. Cara Gee and Keon Alexander are great in their roles, I don't know why but I just can't get enough of this show, and their two parts are some of the hardest to play with the belter lingo, it's fun to hear how they actually speak.

I remember thinking while reading the books it would be nigh on impossible for anyone to pull off the role of Marco Inaros, because he's a character who basically gets all his power solely from his charisma - he's a fundamentally weak and selfish person, but still manages to get people to die for him by sheer force of will. Tough for any actual human being to pull that off. But Keon Alexander somehow managed it. And of course Cara Gee's performance is one of the greatest in modern history.
7th season in talks now. Don’t let this series die Amazon Prime. This is the best and most important Sci-Fy event since The Matrix and Halo. You literally have an epic journey and whole universe on your hands here. Don’t squander it 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Side note, I have such a crush on Drummer 😬😬😬

And also, yes, I think Cara Gee gives possibly the best performance of anyone, which is really saying something, give how amazing the cast is.

Completely agree about Shoreh. Avarsarala's ability to be very diplomatic one second and then cut someone down with a well placed f-bomb in the next breath was incredible. That and her deep, "smoker's voice " made her one the show's most intriguing characters.
Cara Gee, Keon, Aghdashloo, etc.... The list of great actors and actresses seems to have no end. The Expanse was literally a gift of the gods. Cara Gee, your talent as an actress was nothing short of amazing. These are not "celebrities". THESE ARE GREAT artists. Their acting performance was way high. Anyone who has not watched The Expanse SHOULD watch it.
Both of these actors KILLED IT in their roles. Inaros was scary and charismatic and loathsome. Drummer was also charismatic and we all loved watching her grow in leadership and philosophy.
Cara Gee was this little known actress before Expanse, I remember watching her in Red Rover and thought she did well back when it came out but her Drummer acting is amazing and didn't even catch it was the same actress at first. She deserves success her acting chops is top shelf.
Expanse is perhaps the best serial Sci-Fi ever made, and Cara Gee, Keon Alexander, and all of the other primary cast members are superb in their acting and character portrayal. Gee and Chatham I think do the best of the best with their characters, but it is hard to stand out in a cast that is simply superlative. (And by the way, I watch this on an OLED TV, and this is one of the few shows out there that really make the merits of OLED stand out. When the lights are low, I feel like I am the movies. The producer here set a high benchmark for the cinemaphotography in a serial show.)

I think there were so many great characters brought to life by some wonderful actors. Cara and Keon were amazing but I also liked Wes's deadpan portrayal of Amos, Thomas's portrayal of Miller and Cas made Alex someone I want as a friend, he was so charismatic.

This is my first time seeing these actors be themselves off screen. It's so weird seeing them out of character. But that goes to show how much effort they put into the roles that they play.

"The Expanse" has been one of the best sci-fiction shows of all time. Surprised me cause I didn't expect to like it. Didn't read the books, didn't know the story, and went into it thinking I wouldn't like it. Hope to read the books someday, and grateful for the show runners and all involved in making a great story. Episode 6 season 5 was brilliant, even if the show seems to be rushing the story along.
I hated Marco. HATED the character- but the performance that brought that feeling by Keon Alexander was AMAZING to elicit those feelings - the ultimate measure! BRAVO. On the other hand Cara played Drummer amazingly and she grew into my favorite from initial dislike! I will miss this show tremendously, and I wish more people knew about it and wish there was more to be had...Thank you for the interview!
Didn't know much about Keon nor do I believe I've seen him in anything prior to The Expanse but damn..... He seems very, very intelligent. It's also weird as fuck seeing Drummer smile and be girly. Kinda reminds me of Lena Headeys Cersei where she's really kind and affectionate off camera but soulless bitch on screen.
It is so very interesting to see the differences between the actors and the characters they portray. Cara, especially, is so different from Drummer, but there are tiny bits that do carry through.
Props to Keon, he did such a good job at portraying someone who I want to punch that I am trying to watch any interview he is on so that I can "deprogram" myself from actually punching him in real life in the unlikely circumstance that I ran into him on the street :p

It seems that almost everyone loves and respects each other immensely. You can tell by their constant playful joking. It's so refreshing to see.

the characters in this show were great one of the best sci-fi shows i seen in a while
Didn't know much about Keon nor do I believe I've seen him in anything prior to The Expanse but damn..... He seems very, very intelligent. It's also weird as fuck seeing Drummer smile and be girly. Kinda reminds me of Lena Headeys Cersei where she's really kind and affectionate off camera but soulless bitch on screen.
It is so very interesting to see the differences between the actors and the characters they portray. Cara, especially, is so different from Drummer, but there are tiny bits that do carry through.
Cara is COMPLETELY different than Drummer, damn! Such an amazing actress!

Props to Keon, he did such a good job at portraying someone who I want to punch that I am trying to watch any interview he is on so that I can "deprogram" myself from actually punching him in real life in the unlikely circumstance that I ran into him on the street :p

Es wäre sehr Toll wenn die anderen Bücher auch noch verfilmt würden werden . Ist die beste SiFi Serie seit STARGATE voll ebenbürtig . Super Darsteller super Drehbuch im Grunde mehr als Perfektion einfach perfekt Danke . ich hoffe es geht weiter und nicht erst in 30 Jahren wie im Buch. Danke nochmals an alle die dieses Werk möglich gemacht haben.
