He blabbered something like moom has come here so sun and moon are clashing, do one thing wear 3 rings and perform a pooja and was charging 39k for it.. I didn't believe all that stupidity, and continued my efforts for CA. I cleared after 2 attempts and have a good job at Pwc... Never believe them, had they been able to predict future and they would've been billionaires by now.

The fact is gravity existed way before it was invented by a human being. A man saw an apple falling down and wrote it on paper for the record. But before that event, it was already existing. Similarly, the research on the benefits of Yoga and meditation came years later. But Yoga and meditation and their benefits existed way before the research. Astrology is also not different. It also came from the same set of scriptures that were written before the 'research' existed. Infact, the origin of the research is from India. The people that started the practice of research were, Gyan Yogis. So, I am not saying that Astrology is wrong. It is correct but the people who are practicing can have bad intentions. Just like a doctor can be a saver or killer.

Astrology predictions often fails like for the icc world cup many astrologers on tv said india will win for sure and thousand roadside astrologers said the same but we know what happend. And another point is Confirmation bias = when people pay more attention to information that confirms their existing beliefs and ignore or downplay information that contradicts those beliefs.

The greatest question about such astrology or horoscope is how can one's life be generalised or even predicted based on a specified date and time slot of birth. Within that corresponding astronomical positions there must have been millions of births,among them some are born in slums,some in palaces,some die infant, some may cross 90, some may become rich and successful,some may fail etc. So why is it so? This logic was provided by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
Everything is dependent upon circumstances and one's karma or hard work. We are independent on what we do. Sun,planets,moon affects seasons and day-night, not our personal lives(except heatwaves😂).
I don't know why.... there is no logic about astrology.... no scientific evidence.... still it works pretty well. Like.... its working is a mystery for me. It can't tell exactly what will i have in nxt breakfast, but can give an overview of the future.

These so called astrologers and apps like ASTROTALK polluted this industry badly as astrology is an art not like a shop or a business which can be passed on. There are very few gem astrologers left in India so rather than making an assumption on astrology as a whole we should appreciate the beauty of real astrology. all the so called astrologers don't find any work in the field so they step into these apps like ASTROTALK, dressed up like a magician and making hefty claims but I am sorry to say this is not the real astrology. Most of the rich successful businessmen, professionals of your cities, states believe in this concept because they got the right one and remember Astrology is done for a particular person not as a whole like Predicting India's future, Predicting about Stock market, It is done for a particular person. and if you think your zodiac sign as astrology its just like taking paracetamol to cure cancer, zodiac signs is not astrology its nothing more than a game to get the attention of people towards it. Life was smooth until marriage. After marriage everything changed and I resigned my job myself and everything started to fall apart!!! Astrologers are more optimistic than myself about my future.
It boils down to the art of persuasion .
I used this app, i talked to few astrologers and asked them same thing, all of them suggested me different different things, some said i had Angarak dosh, some said i have Pitra dosh and not angarak dosh, some said i have kalsarp dosh and not pitra dosh.
If i ask about career each have different prediction .
Its hard to trust anyone, and they suggest so many pujas.
It is like Astrologers for Astrologers .
Same it all seemed fake to me

I keep a observant position in the case of astrology. I've had mixed experience in my tryst with the art. I have had increased self awareness because astrology seems to "predict" our possible tendencies ( which are true for every one and applies almost every other person). Even our limitations. This helps me or gives me an opportunity to avoid any harm to oneself or others due to those ill-qualities . Or even associate the supposed "positive" qualities in my astrology with myself ( which again are mostly true for everyone and moreover who doesn't want to associate good quality with oneself) .
However, Astrology tends to superimpose certain dogmas that I tend to think are true for me. Every general statement in it forces me to associate certain life event with it which might be daunting.
Astrology might even take reasonable skeptics in its isles and make them believe that they are actual objective predictions of life and affect his general course of life negatively by preventing them to think for themselves.
Really someone spoke about this topic . these apps make fortune but are based on myths and beliefs rather than logic.

Actually my grandfather use to do astrology predictions with all Vedic Panchangs he told me how he predict the things and it was very interesting to learn, astrology is obviously something important in our Hindu Culture. And he made me learn all things it also includes numerology . ❤

You can be hindu and still not follow astrology. It is a pseudoscience, whether you get it from astrotalk or from youtube/tv babas or mandir. It is not an essential part of hinduism, it is removable.

My brother wasn’t good in studies. In fact, he got failed in 11th standard. My mom being worried went to one famous astrologer (he used to come at tv every morning). He said my brother won’t be completing even 12th.
Reality check: My brother cleared 12th standard. And in fact, he is a double post graduate - MCA and MBA with couple of technology certifications. 😂

For me personally, its a shame to see the rise of these astrology stuff. These should get minimized with progress, but their success shows that how much people always lack critical thinking and the ability to make and stand behind their own decisions. I never believed in these scammy people, and even if I go broke or something god forbid, then aslo I will never ensure the help of scam artists like astrologers. I am a huge fan of astronomy, but astrology, not that much. The more people believe in these stupid predictions, the more society will rely on these people.
