one of the nicest guy out there in the field :) it's just when you're doing a lap, you don't blink and have some uncontrollable moves and look serious ;)
Ah thank you! If like to get one but there's just so many options its a bit confusing right now. Seems like all the major companies have at least 1 to offer for drifting. Traxxas being probably the cheaper end of the spectrum?
Talk about scaling down! What a track! I use to race 1/10th scale oval track(pan cars). These drift cars are wicked!!! Detailed to the max! Want to get one but don't even know racing brands anymore.?. Any suggestions???
Man I am so jealous. I have been practicing for over a year now but my Lightning EPX just can't do stuff like this! I guess I need to take the plunge and get a countersteer drift car. Thumbs up and subbed!
not the best chassis to start, even if it's cheap. no real tuning is possible on them. I would highly recommand yokomo drift package (MR4 type C) for easier start. Lts of tuning option available, an chassis is good from the start :)
I was gonna get a tamiya and I ended up buying the hpi. A lot ppl on the forums recommended the hpi better than the tamiya for beginners. Oh by the way I typed in the yokomo brand on ebay but I couldn't find nothing but a couple of chassis and a lot of parts for it
ToraProds I'm thinking about getting the Vaterra V-100 Silvia S15 to start building something nice I was wondering what do you think about that car and chassis?
I can only point you to two drifting forums, as they answer questions way better than I could. If you want to go 4WD, go to driftmission forum If you want to go the manly RWD way, go to rwdrcdriftworld forum :)
which forum? or between 4WD and RWD? as a RWD converted man, I can only tell you that RWD is "easier" when you didn't have any 4WD experience before, so might as well start with the RC Drift future and go for RWD!! Yokomo MR4 type C (Drift Package) should be your chassis of choice!
ToraProds Hey, I'm also planning on starting this as my new hobby. I've been reading alot about different types of rc's. Brushed, brushless and those sorts of things, but i'm really not sure what would be the best to start with? On alot of the bigger RC websites i pretty much see that the more "popular" rc cars are 4WD. Give me a few tips as well?
What's a website where I can get RC drift cars for cheap maybe not full body and chassis maybe chasis and then I can find a body I want to get into it but I don't know any reliable websites thanks in advance man appreciate it videos looks good!
i recommend 4WD if your starting off. 2WD chassis are more expensive and hard to find and its a challenge to master it. Even though some of these cars are 2WD 4WD also preforms great!. If you have a small budget i suggest starting with some HPI's or Tamiyas. They're pretty good. If you looking for a bit more sophisticated ones cheapest option would be Sakura D3. There actually really good chassis for $100. If you want good and expensive ones try MST or Yokomo. :)
hello guys i was wondering if somebody could help me. i have a hpi rs4 evo3 and i like to turn it into a drift car. so my question is . where can i find parts for my plan? body ? wheels? and other cool stuf!!
This is kinda one sided, but why do drifting cars need full aluminum parts? I can see like an a-arm breaking, but why custom shock towers and the like?
Because it looks good and stuff.... some people care more about how their chassis look than how it handles. full optioned parts of the same color on a chassis is a must for certain people. (I am not of these! Function > form)
tt-01 is fine for beginning. Yokomo Drift package (MR-4) is also good, both for beginners and top players. it is also really easy and efficient to convert it to RWD!
this is one of the best rc drift vids i've seen
Awesome crew of drifters!

Ah thank you! If like to get one but there's just so many options its a bit confusing right now. Seems like all the major companies have at least 1 to offer for drifting. Traxxas being probably the cheaper end of the spectrum?

What do think about the HPI sprint 2 for a beginner?
not the best chassis to start, even if it's cheap. no real tuning is possible on them.

start straight in RWD. that way you won't need to learn how to drift a second time. I recommend Yokomo MR-4 chassis.
