Love these videos.... the extremely detailed explanations are amazing. I can't unhear Nathan saying "Umm" before each sentence though. He's amazing! Love the guy....umm.... don't recall him saying it this much in any other of your videos. Please understand I don't mean any disrespect. I'm a huge fan of y'all!
You all do some seriously detailed work. Really appreciate the extra time and skill and effort. Looking forward to getting a system from you soon. Thanks for all of your videos. Ben
Originally ordered a box of 72 tiles in preps for my 2-way Arc Audio 5-channel passive system (2017 F150 Sony Amplified). Even though I won't have the top-of-the-line 3-way active system, I watched the video again and decided to order more tiles and installed 36 tiles in each of the doors. Very easy to install as demonstrated. The backing was easy to remove once I gently cut a straight line down the middle of the backing, which resulted in an easy removal of the backing. I can attest that even with the OEM speakers still installed, I noticed an improvement in sound quality.
I miss Scott. He always sounded like he still has passion for car stereo installation. These guys I like too. The other guy that's been doing the videos seems like he's there because he has to be. Don't get me wrong he knows what he's doing and very creative just seems his passion or could sense of humor is gone. I really liked this video love how stayed on one thing and put in great detail to it. Very informative
Great video and very informative. Thanks for sharing with the community. One question about the door panels; it seems like it would be beneficial to tape/ pad anything that would rattle. (Switch panels, clips, etc) Also, I noticed you guys didn’t treat inside the door (inside the outer door skins - where the window rolls into) where the factory applied a small amount. It seems like these areas would be low hanging fruit and am wondering why you don’t address them. Again, thanks. Just trying to learn.
Thanks for checking out the video. On these trucks, the clips are not known to rattle once we add all of the sound treatment/mass to the panel. If it's a older truck, we will add the cloth tape to the clips or better yet, replace them with brand new clips. The outer skin does have a form of sound treatment, but not a CLD mat (Depending on the package). We are using the Blackhole Tiles which will not only provide us the mass of a CLD but also handle the acoustical energy built up in the panel. The tiles by themselves work better than a layer of mat and we choose to add them directly to the metal instead of on top of a layer of sound treatment. This is to ensure they stick properly and do not run into adhesion problems from the CLD mat. At 16:48 you will see the tiles start to go in and each package has a different amount/mix. soundsgoodstereo.com/products/blackhole-tile-coated-water-resistant-multi-layer-high-efficiency-acoustical-absorption-pad
Great video! Got a couple packs of Black Hole tiles from you guys and installed in my 2019 F150 crew cab doors, definitely made a difference but damn do they soak up water! Like a bunch of little sponges in my doors.
If your looking for a basic upgrade, we do offer components to make this happen. At our facility, we only do complete builds, higher-end style systems. You can see these on our other UA-cam videos on the work that we do. On our website, you can see a few select C7 parts we manufacture. If you are looking for a substantial stereo upgrade, you can send us a email or give us a call. soundsgoodstereo.com/collections/2014-2019-chevrolet-corvette-c7-coupe-1
What about all the drilling you left all the metal shavings in the door no vacuum suck it up..... That's why I like doing my homework I'm glad I was an installer back in the eighties Early nineties....... That's kind of like some shop they wanna use a dry wall Screw to hold a speaker in instead of Doing it right the 1st time....
When you have a GoPro in your face, you become a nervous wreck and can't focus on every little step. If you believe on that one section that we are not a good shop, then not sure what to say. Of course we clean up, protect the vehicles and ensure the truck is 100% when we are done. You can check out our other videos, read reviews and ask industry members about our team.
Also thank you for not putting ads on this video. I bounce all over the place and to not have to wait 30 seconds for an ad is amazing. thanks,
I bought an AMP rack and speaker adapters for my 22' Ram 1500 from these guys. They were next level high quality stuff.

Awesome!! Once you get the tiles started, it's not so bad.

Super helpful! You might want to consider adding chapters to the video timeline so it's easier to jump around.
Yes, it was on my to-do list and I'm going to do that now! Thanks for the reminder
Added them to the video! Let me know if that makes since or if you recommend them to be formatted in a different way. Thanks
@@SoundsGoodStereo Perfect, thanks so much!

I need to get my truck to you guys when can leave it for bout a week
impressive - you turned those doors into speaker cabinets. I assume it also makes the interior quieter / much less road noise.
Exactly! Less road noise and now the speakers are in a enclosure. Instant results
In all reality, how much noticeable difference in SQ are you going to hear from doing the panels and mat?
Have you guys ever put sound proofing on the ceiling of a truck?
On the ones without the moonroof we do. Doesn't take much but it does help alot.
Great video!

Yes, they do absorb water. They are treated for mold resistance, so no concerns there. If sound can travel into it, so can water.
@@SoundsGoodStereo
They definitely will be going in all my vehicles from here forward. 🤙
You guys working on one of these that will work on the 2024 F150s?
Yes, we are working on the new packages now. Taking everything we learned and applying it to the 2024+ 👍🏼👍🏼
What size are the screws for the sound block panels?
Do you ever put the sound mat on the floor or back panel of the truck?
Not the floor, but yes we add it to the back wall. That is actually a different video that will be released soon on the amplifier rack installation
@@SoundsGoodStereo How come not the floor? Just curious. Thanks, and getting ready toi buy one of your plug and play packages for my new tremor!!
Can I use this video to install a plug & play system into a 2021 Tremor?
Most of the video, but removal of the door panel is slightly different
Can you Do a C 7 Corvette add an Amp and Speakers up Grade, Very Interested.

29:31 Where did the sound treatment go in the middle of the door ?
The Blackhole Tiles are acting as the sound treatment, no need for anything additional
@@SoundsGoodStereo It was there and then it disappeared.
Let's try some eye protection when drilling.
Bro said it gets super hot in Cali lol try living in Texas
