    Ya but I’m sure with that sign on bonus comes a contract stating that u agree to stay with the company for the next 2 years THAN that opens the door to getting treated a little crappier than other employees because u have to stay due to the contract for the bonus.

      Thanks for the comment. There are guidelines you have to follow in terms of how long you have to stay to avoid paying back the sign on. 12-18 months is normally the timeframe. Not sure about the employee treatment. I’d also share that if you decide to leave early, you can ask for a sign on bonus at the next company to cover anything you might owe the current company. Happens all the time.

    Sir , I've a qn ..
    My expectations 75 , co. Is offering 60 . I asked for sign on bonus 15 & co. Agreed , now since it is one time bonus then co. Will pay me 15 for only 1mth . What about the rest?

      Wow this is great news! I would ask HR. Some companies will take the 15k and spread it across 12 month, paying it each month. While other companies will pay you your normal base salary and add a 15k one time payment on the FIRST month you start. It depends on the company but congrats!
      For example, in May you would get your first paycheck on May 15th, if the company pays you a lump sum, you would get your base pay PLUS the one time $15k. The rest of the year you would get 60k normal base salary pay.
