Brilliant and THANK YOU ... had a 2 yr old unit used perhaps 7 or 8 times in that 2 yrs. Went to fire it up and for the first time ... refused to start . Tried at least 20 times ... nothing. Went straight to the carburetor bowl as you described, pulled out the nozzle and the perforated intake tube and BAM...full of debris ... blew it out with canned compressed air made sure I could see light though all openings. Installed it back in place, put the aluminum bowl back on. ... opened fuel valve and FIRED RIGHT UP. 🙌😎. Thanks sir !!!
had a stuck valve on my power washer, tapping with a hammer and using carb cleaner freed it.. put in cam the wrong way without checking the piston on top.. fixed that and now it works great.!! saved and didnt get scammed by going to the shop! thanks!
My oil seal under the fly wheel pops off shortly after starting. The crank case valve isn't clogged. Do I have a bigger issue going on, or should I just replace the seal? It seems like there should be a retainer clip for the seal but it just holds via friction?
I have this same washer. I finally cleaned the the carb out and got it running after a year of sitting in shed and after being flooded during hurricane harvey. I got it started and it works fine but do you recommend I do anything else to it?
So am I right in thinking that on these engines we don't control the throttle directly, we give a setting to the governor and then the governor controls the throttle?

Don’t clean the carburetor the old way! With GumBuster, let the carburetor clean itself:

Good luck removing the long exhaust bolts without them breaking off in the engine block. What a hunk of shit this motor is.
