As a younger man, I loved Demo Ranch. Now in my mid to late 30s, this side channel has become my favorite.
When I was 12-17 I loved Demo ranch, now almost 23,
( Off The Ranch ) is my favorite. But demolition is still fantastic!!!
I was not a fan of using such a neat example of an H1 like it was, but I do think it is cool of World of Warships to have sponsored this rebuild even after seeing the negative reaction when it was shot up. Glad to see it getting some love.
I am not a person who enjoys destroying things ( or seeing other people destroy things) just for the joy (?) of destruction. I did not find the shooting up of that hummer fun. I see some of that negative way of thinking in physically throwing out some of the chairs and other furniture from your Desperado Resort! But, I loved watching Matt's glee when destroying and pulling down things on the Abandoned Mansion! That was going to have to come down anyway. Matt almost made an art form of that and it was great fun! I hope the Hummer can be restored and look forward to watching it!! ❤❤

It was already running, he just started it without the computer. Not like the engine didn't run before hand.

Matt, leave all the holes in the body and get them filled with resin so they are not dangerous. Would be awesome looking with tons of bullet holes and a 50 cal on the back!
Clear resin and put LEDs in the body cavities so the holes glow!

That shop seems LEGIT!
Shop is spotless and they even came up with a set of modified forks for the forklift that helps move the gigantic vehicle around with ease. May not seem like much, but the little attentions to detail in their workplace will, without a doubt, show in their work and end results.

DDE shows that Hummer on their channel lucky that guys and everyone involved in that wreck is okay props and the hummer driver for being a hero in that situation

As soon as he rocked up there my immediate thought was "hey it's the place DDE went" and then when they went to the Hummer crashed by the tow truck I was like "wow deja vu"

If you want to “save” the bullet holes while keeping the cab water tight, you could do a reproduction wrap with the holes as graphics with a solid patched body underneath.

You should buy DDE's H1 (if its still there). They dropped it off last month to sell at Predator.
In Alameda, CA you can stay overnight on the aircraft carrier USS Midway. It picked up Buzz Aldrin and the other two guys when they got back from space.
That computer that had the but connectors on it is the Fuel Injection Control Module - it just drives the injectors. The computer that actually runs the engine and tells the FICM what to do is somewhere else. If you got it to run on starting fluid, then it's likely intact.
Edit: The computer that runs the engine is upside down right in front of the windshield on the drivers side and appears untouched.

Matt, you should get the whole thing fixed, but keep the bullet holes in the bodywork, but fill with resin so it’s safe and watertight!

That's the same place that DDE bought and sold their H1.
So as for the exterior bullet holes, i think a patch on the inside for sealing them, but as for the outside, i think you should have them clear coated over to be smooth while leaving the actual hole intact.

If it is fixable. The O/D Green with black bumpers, bars, etc. Simple Demo Ranch logo on the doors, hood, and tailgate. Go super basic with the interior. Gun mounts for sure. Perfect for parades and the Ranch.

Some new token holes remembering its history. You could do a vid on you "poking" the holes in brand new panels. Take of the edges, close and watertighten and whammo done. Rebuild and insure that frame is good.

I saw one of the new electric Hummers the other day...being loaded onto a flatbed after it died.
It looks like a bunch of work, which it is. Best things about a Hummer, it's all flat sheets of aluminum, riveted together. Time consuming, but pretty easy work, when it comes to body repair. Weld up the meta metal, new body skins, new interior, and you're back to a stock Hummer pretty fast

I've lived in many different states but always missed a lot from California. I moved back to California 2 times after living in Alaska and South Carolina.
Yes, Cali has its cons, but also pros. You just need to have good networking to have a good time in cali.
People who say that they don't like California are probably the one's who have never been or just had a bad time there personally.

now this is a cool project - i'm all in for this one
and i like the approach, thinking about keeping the holes (or make them user friendly)
i actually have two vehicles in my possession that i cannot speak of due to their status, one at least has been tested to a higher standard then previously set by a company in the US who armoured to an A9 spec, which is 7.62 and 55.6, the highest they do is A12 .50 Cal - our vehicle was tested to everything up to 20mm, which naturally made the vehicle armour pretty heavy, my little forklift did struggle a little getting the body shell and armour off, BUT i did have to strip it down, remove windows doors, rear tailgate/hatch, the entire interior
BUT like your hummer, its a teabag, probably has more holes than a teabag, wasn't just shot at, had a 12 pound explosive charge set off next to it full of shrapnel, the armour is great, not affected at all, the chassis is clearly not well along with fuel tanks and parts of suspension, i think the engine might be ok together with transmission but a lot of ancillary parts are wrecked, wiring non existent, the original shell is way beyond saving, looks great, i mean be fine in the field, the cattle could use as a back scratcher or something - so i'll be impressed with this build, restoration, sure you should keep the old shell on the range just for sh1ts n giggles
Mat get some good pics of all sides of the Hummer showing detail of the bullet holes and have someone air brush the bullet holes after you fix it
As a very novice car guy, I was proud to see those holes in the transmission and know that thing is done for 😂
