Rusty Buckets everybody made a vid on this already
The thunder would be the dynasty of the decade!
I never thought I would see this day in my life!!! Rusty Buckets made a video about James Harden not criticizing him.
The only problem is that there is just one ball
imagine having KD and Harden + pieces from a russell westbrook trade
Ill be honest i dont support KD going to Golden State and i understand why people are mad at him but i do not blame him for leaving. OKC was trying to win a chip on a budget.
BigBody Rico nah KD wanted to play on a team where he isn’t the guy but he’s so good he becomes it anyway in GoldenState him being their got them 2 rings more then what they had with Curry Klay and Draymond
@@allen62 wym nah??? OKC wanted to win a chip without paying luxury taxes. Tell me the last team to do that??? Thats not KDs fault. If they wouldve kept Harden they wouldve had 1 and our entire perspective of KD wouldve been different even if he went to GSW. If KD wouldve won a chip and then went to GSW people wouldnt be questioning him at all bc he would have already proven hes a championship player.
BigBody Rico Im starting to go away from the “championship player” talks all the guys who have championships played with allstars to get them all the ones who didn’t don’t have a championship not like you can slap prime Jordan on the Bobcats and expect him to take them to the promise land but I see what you mean still
yeah..he looked at it like they threw away future titles in 2014 2015 for a 2013 finals team on the cheap without harden and post 2015 chances ..they basically threw away 3 years of kd's prime..k mart was not staying lamb was a bust for them ....adams was not good until 2014
Can you make a video on how russell westbrook has changed his game this past season? I feel like ever since he got adjusted to the rockets system he has been a top 10 NBA player yet again and I just wanna hear your thoughts and an in depth look on how Westbrook/Mike D’Antoni has adjusted his game.
Honestly the Thunder just didn't know how to unleash him. Like imagine Westbrook with all that spacing on OKC. Shit would have been amazing
He didn't start balling out until they got rid of Capela because they couldn't have 2 non shooters
@Jayden Gravelle that's the issue. We all know that Westbrook is a slasher. Dude just gets into the paint at will. So why put a roster around him that just clogs up the paint and takes away his best asset? It never really made sense.
@Jayden Gravelle sounds like the same issue Embiid is having rn
Ray Burks not true he was hooping in December while Capela was there go look at the numbers. He wasn’t good to start but the man played 11 years in one place so time to get adjusted was expected.
Can we get a new retrospective on Tracy McGrady. He's one of my favorite players of all time and now that the news had come out about the possible trade to the Bulls and 97 I think that would be great timing for one
Or we could talk about what if KG signed with the Lakers instead of Boston
@@stephenasunnamedsource2943 that too
naaahhh I love TMac, he is my 2nd fave player next to Penny, but TMac to the bulls wont fit, he was young and not a good defensive perimeter player, which the bulls need to compliment MJ, TMac might not be a HoF if he went to the Bulls. He was young then, with MJ as his mentor, he mighr get annihilated emotionally.
@@zer0pulse156 that's crazy, Penny and TMAC are two of my favorite players, my all time favorites are Penny TMAC and D Wade. on a video about if you went to the Bulls or not I just mean career retrospective in general (THAT AIN'T FLAGRANT lol)
Knicks fan: yea get they ass. KP will never be on Harden level.
Phillip Walker That’s not necessary how it went. m.ua-cam.com/video/DhdvGTYWJI0/v-deo.html. This video explains the trade.
Okc had the worst timing
They literally expanded the salary cap right after the trade
they literally have been in tax hell and still are lol...mistakes were made over 4 million dollars or the bond between kd and perkins ..either one or loyalty to ibaka
I was literally playing w them on 2k rn....
It still pisses me off to this day that they traded Harden… I’m a OKC fan, and the fact that Harden was willing to make compromises to stay on the team, and then they cheaped out on him makes my blood boil….
I'd still trade my heart and left ear for Steven Adams
I’d like to add that Morey himself has said that not enough people talk about how stupid it is that another team didn’t outbid them. They offered what they could. When the GM of the opposing team thinks a trade is so bad that he thinks you’re so stupid that the rest of the NBA is stupid for not taking adavantage of you, you know it’s bad.
How are you gonna celebrate 69k?
Idk Fat Fuck
Mitch McGary? That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while damn
you would think he could be tyler hansborough or a poor man's udonis haslem lol ...how is he just gone
You could make a video discussing: is Kyle Lowry a HOF and is D Rose a HOF une can use different players if u want
pretty sure Lowry is gonna make it. greatest raptor ever (kawhi was better but his run lasted just 1 year)
The greenhoodie yeah but the question is, is Lamarcus Aldridge a HOF? And what about Shawn Marion, Demar DeRozan, or Zach Randolph?
@@jastew8814 LA i think he might make it, Shawn Marion most likely no, DeRozan had potential but probally wont make it and Zach Randolph is might be HOF to be honest
LA will probably make it because of Achievements he is 7 times All Star and 5 Times All NBA he certainly didn't leave a mark in NBA history but it's hard to ignore him with those Stats
@@jastew8814 I don't Think Zach Will Make it (sad but probably true) neither Will Shawn Marrion Demar has to make a big change in his Career to make it
If Harden wasn't traded, I don't think he would've blossomed into what he is today. He still would have been a great player, but he wouldn't have turned into one of the greatest scorers we've ever seen. If the team had stayed together, KD would have been the first option, and Westbrook would've handled the playmaking. Harden was the third option, and he needs to be the first option to fully maximize his talents.
I think harden will like to develop something called defense
If he stayed on OKC he would be like klay Thompson with Stephen and Durant. Only, harden isn’t as good on defense. He has the shooting though
Theres a good chance that if harden stayed and eventually became a starter then Durant would have left even earlier than 2016. He was already upset about the amount of shots westbrook was taking, if harden got to anywhere near the volume of shots he averages now durant would have bailed.
All 3 of these guys have massive egos now and i really doubt that one of them could handle being a 3rd star like klay, love or bosh etc. There was a time where Harden was able to but he even said when he left OKC that he was tired of sacrificing on and off the court.
One problem - Durant had a contract until 2016, meaning that he would had to request a trade in order to leave OKC. And this isn't a situation like when Cleveland traded for Kevin Love.
@@ivaneurope yeah i genuinely reckon he would have asked for a trade lol. Imagine how frustrated KD would be if russ and harden were taking a combined total of 60+ shots a game.
Maybe Harden would have continued to be a 6 man but based on what he is like as a player now I reckon high chance he would have become frustrated pretty quickly, even with a new contract $$
You should do a what if series video on if the Wizards decided to trade Beal for Harden. That was one of the deals the Thunder were trying to go for.
What makes the trade so much worse is the fact, that, with the salary cap spike incoming, OKC would have had to pay the luxury tax fpr like 1 year... But no one in OKC saw that new TV deal coming, I guess...
Btw: This trade actually shows me, that the salary cap system doesnt work as intended... since a big market franchise doesnt care about the luxury tax, since it generates so much revenue. But OKC might have lost money, had they singed all 4 of their stars. So the system that is supposed to help the small market teams, actually hurts them... just saying...
As a Sonics fan I dont feel bad for OKC whatsoever!! At the time I thought they should have kept Harden and let Westbrook go.
Rusty be working really hard for the 69..........K subs
OH MY GAWDDDD! 69k SUBSCRIBERS! I’m proud of you Rusty
Mission "NICE" accomplished
Harden was best on OKC when coming off the bench. Cant be paying a max player to be coming off the bench. He couldnt do what he can with KD and Russ also on the floor. So it was a trade that needed to be done. Was it for the right pieces? that could be debated, but Harden had to go.
OKC should have kept Cole Aldrich, but they got back:
Kevin Martin, who was a good scoring guard,
Jeremy Lamb, had potential SF
2 1st round picks, one became Steven Adams, other they took Mitch McGary, so if they kept Aldrich, probably wouldnt have drafted McGary.
The problem was that Harden being traded directly led to all of the problems they wound up happening. Not having a 3rd consistent scoring option, injuries to key players that wouldn't have happened in the first place, and things of that nature. In the short term the trade was fine, but clearly in the long term it was horrible.
Idk what was more ridiculous, how unbelievably cheap OKC was to ship away Harden or LeESPN declaring it a great move trading him for Kevin Martin
I will die on this hill. The OKC Thunder NEEDED to have a strong PF to make it through the West. Zach Randolph used to bully the Thunder. Blake Griffin was dominant at that time. Tim Duncan was still great. David Lee was a force on the Warriors and the Tat squad in Denver was full of big physical teams. Ibaka was needed to be an enforcer and keep the big men in check.
And then you have the elephant in the room that Scott Brooks could barely coach two stars. He would have been a disaster if Harden had stayed.
They could have keep Serge
i had a dream u came to my school and we hung out and made videos i was sad when i woke up😢😢😢
Lol

Ummmm.....ok then
Rusty keep up the grind
A lot of the criticism of OKC is complete hindsight. At the time, Harden was nothing more than 16 PPG on average efficiency while playing terrible defense. No one at the time of the trade thought he’d become an MVP. At the time of the trade his ceiling was seen at around 20PPG being a Sprewell level player. And no bias here, Harden is my favorite player. Just trying to be objective.
That season harden averaged 17 ppg on 49/39/85 splits, which adds up to a 66% ts. So he was much more efficient than Russ while only scoring 4 less ppg. His defense was sub par, but russ's defense was just as bad if not worse, while not doing anything that James wasn't doing at a higher level. Yes hindsight has made the trade look horrible, but it was a dumbass trade at the time as well. If a trade was horrible at the time, and is even worse now, then obviously the trade was just awful.
This James harden trade looking at it worldwide eventually became the end of parity in the NBA. Meaning this trade gave KD a chance to ruin the league 4 years later! Smh
parity ended in 2011 anyways
@@simple45679 tru but lebron didnt ruin the league the way KD did tho I will say however that the heat team from 2010-2014 were expected to win every year at least
I'm at 5:50 and I get what he saying about replacing the numbers, but u can't replace the person and the vibes. That, okc gave away.
If okc make finals in 2016 no one is talking about this trade in a critical way
Even if they do In 2016 in hindsight I don’t think they beat the cavs didn’t have a consistent third guy imo but I could be wrong they did get smacked in the regular season by them. 13,14,15 was there best chance but injuries happened.
I personally don't think that Harden would be averaging 36 points a game on OKC with them. I still think that Harden would've turned into an All Star starter but maybe not putting up the same points.
can you do an episode on nate robinson? he’s the only nba player I don’t know that well
At the time it was made the trade was still one of the worst trades in NBA history. Even though Kevin Martin replaced Harden statistically, the chemistry was just not the same. Looking in the past there is a reason certain franchises are perennially mediocre.
To me if Ibaka was something like Duncan I could seen were this might have been not bad of a trade but for real if OKC GM was like Don Nelson I swear theres no way Harden would have been traded.
IMO the Thunder have possibly the best eye for talent but they just can't seem to put it together
Do a video over Larry sanders his career was hella interesting just an idea bro keep up the work dawg lmao
Some could argue Harden wouldn't be the same ball dominant play style he developed last year and he could've been a hella efficient defensive/3 point shot guard
there is another angle to thes "what ifs", Harden MAY not be this scoring machine if he stayed in OKC, he might be have the same avg points as Thompson have, but im in doubt as KD and Westbrook are two ball dominant player and the OKC system will play a big role.
this also applies to other player, TMac, etc, with the exception of Shaq, which i believe Magic might win a title if the core group stick together and grow together.
So I’ve only ever drank vodka straight and today I drank these fruity mikes lemonade things and my gosh they’re tasty
You should try a video on which lebron James “mvp” season was the best
I feel everyone had been covering the james harden trade the past month!
the celtics never got rid of havlicek cousy heinsohn russell the lakers kept kareem magic worthy scott the spurs kept their big three......why did the thunder get rid of harden lol..stupid
Asmosis Jones exactly!! Any other franchise would’ve paid him the extra he wanted like wtf?
You could make the argument that Westbrook wouldn’t have been the king of triple doubles without Adams around for easy assists, since both Harden and Ibaka were better at creating their own shots.
Ibaka doesn’t create his own shots lol. Maybe some rare post ups and I mean RARE but he’s pick and pop and spot up 3’s every thing else I agree with .
Can you do the timberwolves and bulls trading jimmy butler please
Do the CP3 trade with the Thunder
Or the botched CP3 trade with the Lakers
Or the CP3 trade with Lob City
You the man great videos
If they would have stuck together they would have easily beaten the warriors in their prime. 3 Players who won a mvp vs 1
No, Rusty. It wasn’t logical at the time to keep Ibaka over Harden. Sure, most people were underrating Harden at the time, but everyone in the league was scared to death of Harden at the time. Kobe was so happy the Thunder traded Harden. You can always find savvy veterans who will play D for cheap. It was a huge blunder by the Thunder.
Can you revisit the Dwight Howard/Andrew Bynum/ Andre Iguodala trade?
The Biggest Lose Lose in NBA History
Lose lose lose lose it amazing that everyone lost the trade
Do the Pau gasol trade to the lakers, that’s a really underrated trade that the lakers wouldn’t have won those titles without
noti gang can’t wait for 69 k
It wasn't a bad trade based on the context of the situation. He was an unproven sixth man that the Thunder didn't want to re-sign. OKC still got decent value for the trade. Like trading a superstar that wanted to leave the team, you can't expect to win the trade but just get the best possible deal
your right it wasn’t a bad trade, it was a horrible trade..
@@mauricedavis1740 Hindsight is 20/20. No one knew at the time Harden was going to be a superstar. It's like trading a player who's a second round pick that turned into a star.
Great review
You should revisit the Deron Williams trade !
Some video ideas how good was melo, wade, pierce, ray allen,kg,dirk,Kareem, nash, amarie, bosh,Ewing, kidd, dwight, webber idk if you done some of these players
You should also mention that OKC has a good GM in Presti, yet have the wrong philosophy. They always were after Athletes instead of shooters which ended in Iso ball with Triple double man and Durant. If they surrounded both with shooters after the harden trade, they xould have kept Durant and Westbrook and could have played more effective basketball, which would have led to more years of contending. They still made enough things wrong AFTER the Harden Trade
Damn, I could’ve sworn I was subbed months ago. Better late than never I guess 😂
does rusty sit with his right leg over his left for all of his videos?
yes
Have you done the Jazz D-Will trade?
"Pot head" lmfao
Kevin Martin is one of the reasoms I got into the nba
If only they would be able to go back in time traded Westbrook and if only they could draft better 1st round picks instead of mcgary and Steven Adam considering that Sam presti was drafting great before Harden trade
He looks like Post Malone in 2017 but without hair
Bro everybody keep taking about this let it go
bro theres nothing else to talk about, theres no basketball😂
@@bean19101 we could talk about that draymond interview from all the smoke
Are you not quarentined we must talk about it
“mind fuck”🤣😭
Also maybe kd never left and never said that he didn't play with talented guys.
I’m a Lakers fan but this shit pissed me off
Didn’t the cap increase after they traded harden? they could’ve payed harden for what he was worth and not have to pay luxury tax if they weren’t so damn cheap. The irony!
You completely glossed over why they learned there lesson. The harden trade happened because they were cheap and were afraid to pay the luxury tax that's what paying kanter meant. That they would not be afraid to pay the luxury tax
But his point was that paying Enes Kanter is dumb, because they didn’t learned anything, okc are just double stupid now by not paying a clearly future superstar and now paying a mediocre player
MBkratos11 nah a lot of people didn’t know he’d be this good he averaged 17 but no one saw this
@@MBkratos11 they're not double stupid. They learned that building great teams take money and did what they could to make another championship core
drew 611 you don’t try to build a championship core by paying Enes Kanter
@@MBkratos11 he's a productive piece. You acting like he wasn't on the 2016 team. The problem is there forced to pay people like him because they can't attract players like him in free agency
if Harden stays, he probably becomes what manu was to the spurs
If okc traded russ and not harden. Russ still got his mvp but the okc won a single championship. Is the trade still good or bad
CAC CAC that’s an interesting take
Harden would have never gotten the green light like he got in Houston, they didn't even want to give it to KD
Jerry Cole ok that makes sense
Steven Adams is better than just above average.
he's like what? The 10th best center in the NBA? Thats above average
What if series? What if Lebron never went back to Cleveland what if kyrie Cleveland never traded to get kyrie what if Steve Nash stayed in Dallas
what are the best win/win and worst lose/lose in history
Will never forgive KD for choking 3-1 lead. Also could u visit a conspiracy theory if KD purposely choked the 3-1 lead?
Cavs Larry nance senior trade
Whats the most under the radar trade ever?
You should do a video exposing flight reacts take
that would be far too easy
Night Wing ohhhhhhh, my god, why did you have to do flight like that though.

James harden would have Been useful on that 2016 team. But the roster around Kd and Westbrook was very poor and lacked shooting.Scott brooks literally had them take turns creating.Imagine if the thunder had role players like Courtney lee and Robert Covington.Theyvalways lost to teams with more depth and shooting.Blame management and not the players, although Kd and Westbrook did Choke against the warriors
should've traded westbrook for a lot of depth. KD and Harden would've easily won chips with a good bench and shooting
Louie Paolo Lumanglas they also could have traded harden for a lot of depth
@@alphabah6094 except that wouldn't work because westbrook would still be on the team. he's been getting eliminated in the first round without KD against mild competition. would've traded westbrook in hindsight
Louie Paolo Lumanglas and James harden has been such a clutch playoff performer Kd and Westbrook would have won a championship but bad coaching and lack of depth killed them.Don’t be acting like it’s all Westbrook fault Kd played just as poorly in clutch situations with the thunder
@@alphabah6094 they both choked that series vs GSW, they both take blame. but let's not act like Westbrook has not had 3 years of first round exits in the middle of his prime with actual help. I'm sorry but westbrook just ain't a winning player, the guy plays hard 48mins/game but no results unfortunately
