Love my 2022 , 2SS 1LE 6 SP, Red Hot Camaro, Best All around Muscle & Road Car, one problem with new cars are the paint, I told the dealership not to wash my car, my detailer pick up my car and took it to his shop, needed 2 paint corrections , put on 2 coats of ceramic coating, (Kamikaze) body and Rims, Looks Great, this car is very special to me, I’m 69 years old and my first car was a 69 SS 396 375 HP L78, loved that car , reliving my pass with this Camaro, 2 Different Beasts, thanks for your great review Channel 👍
I used to care too much for paint and keeping it clean. Then I gave up, they are meant to be stone chipped and scratched. Nothing stays in mint condition

Ours has the magnetic ride suspension. Feels really nice. The only thing that I don't like about the Camaro is that you don't have to work for the power and because of that, just keeping near the speed limit is something you have to always keep an eye on. The car wants to GO, not idle down the highway at 60-70 mph. I have a hard time imagining driving a ZL1 or one with 1,000+ hp modifications.
@@ButterlesToast Pretty much. The pedal on ours is pretty sensitive, but the car will continue to accelerate even as low as 2000 rpm if you want it to.
As a long time mustang fan, and after recently test driving two Camaros an lt1 and a 2ss, I can confirm that the Camaro is better in most areas. Right off the bat the torque feels way better than the coyote, the car feels stiffer and more planted, and the interior was a level better in my opinion. The fit and finish and the features like the heads up display make it just a better interior. The only problem I had with the car was that it was an electronic e-brake. The whole visibility complaint is massively overblown in my opinion. Now I just need to decide which transmission and color I prefer.

The color reminded me of Sinnamon Stick for the MOPARs, I love how these cars come out with new colors nowadays all you see is white or black cars on the road
A big part of owning and buying one of the three performance cars ( Mustang, Camero, Dodge} is the fun of research and developing an opinion of which one to get. You really can't go wrong regardless of your final choice. I've owned hotrods,{ two seaters,{ TR4 and a Nisson Fairlady} and several Corvettes all through the '70s and 80's. My final choice in 2019 even surprised me. After a month or so, I decided on a Challenger SP. Research all three and of course test drive. Have faith in your decision, you really did make the right choice..

I just got my 2022 Camaro SS on Nov 13. Ordered on August 6. Everything black, black rims, Gm exhaust, satin spoiler and mirror caps, and red seat belts to match the SS logo. LOVE IT. WHAT A BEAST.
by far the best muscle car ever made..damn these cars hold the road so good. rock solid at all speeds. you sit IN these cars and not ON the car as in the mustang. mustang is like a roller coaster suspension and chassis wise..make you sea sick after 10 minutes. these camaros grip the road like a limpet. plus those coyote motors have no torque. 6.2l of chevy muscle is unbeatable
I picked up a 2017 fifty edition 2SS with only 10k miles and I cannot tell you how amazing this car is. The Camaro is a dream. And this vivid orange with those white seats… whew. Sexy! Excellent review as always, man!
I got a 2017 2SS black convertible in 6 speed tremec manual with 20k miles back in may of this year and it cost me $42,258 and that was cash price. Definitely keeping it

I wish you could get chrome wheels for these cars .I hate that all kinds of vehicles have the black wheels, but I think these cars look better with chrome or high polished aluminum wheels.
Respect for your hard work, I have watched every single one of your Camaro Videos, and I eventually sold my Camaro for a more pratical Cadillac CT5-V. I don't know , it's getting boring really really quick after having the muscle car, I only had it about 3 years, already tired of it, bad mpg, not safe in winter, unable to carry more than one passengers. It's bad to be the only car, but for a secondary fun car to drive in summer, Camaro definitely stands out, cool exterior with great driving dynamics. Will look for the last edition of petrol powered Camaro updates, probably buy a collection edition one to keep for life.

@@derekintrovert5619 It handles better. Now for daily driving a second or less difference around a track might not matter, but the thing you will notice is the front end feel is superior in the SS. I still went GT because I like everything else better about it, but the handling on the Camaro is unrivaled and straight line speed between the two is just about identical (comparing the pree HP dropped GTs to SSs I don’t know if that 10 HP drop changes that).

@@isaachunt5799 now that’s an extreme statement. The s550 blows the doors off all dodges in handling. It’s still turns quite well and is huckable, it’s just not as good as an SS in terms of handling. It’s still an excellent car. In every other way then handling its preference. The styling is more like on the mustang, (tho some prefer Camaro styling) the engines are both excellent (the 5.0 is generally a bit faster in a straight line though). Visibility is superior in the mustang and the interiors in both cars suck but I’d argue the mustangs interior is more interesting then the SS (that is an opinion tho). Both are excellent cars. I do think for daily driving the mustang is a bit more liveable tho.
I'm lookin' to upgrade to either a 2018 or current year SS Camaro from my old 2018 1LT Turbo and this new 2022 has everything I could ever want in a car that isn't the Mach 5! Thank you for the honest review. I'll keep this car in mind while I'm searching for new wheels.
Gotta tell you Joe...never noticed the Camaro until I ordered and bought my C8. It is a beautiful car! Though, I am a bit confused by all the trim levels. Love the color!
it's easy, basically 3 trims, LT(2.0T or 3.6L), SS(NA-V8), Zl1(Super Charged V8). C8 Stingray has 1LT , 2LT and 3LT, basically just diffrentiated by how many options you have it on from a same base model. C8 is way better, congrats, man. I may only can afford it in like 10 years, lol

@@marcg1964 why not just put your order for a C8 Z06 since you gonna be wiating for a long time. it is a perfection from the Stingray. The new Z06 probably be the last petrol powered Corvette, I don't see the ZR1 can come through, next gen gonna be hybrid or full electrical, kinda sucks.
I was always a Camaro guy, 1978 Z28, 2002 Camaro, 2010 SS....but...I went with a Mustang this time, a much better car to live with and look at...also the Gen III Coyote is a beast.

I *love* Camaros. I've always dreamed of having either a 1977 Camaro painted to look like Bumblebee (rust and everything), or a Camaro SS like this one, but a 2021 pearl white manual. Heck, I'd love to have Any Camaro SS. But my *dream* dream Camaro, is a 2018 Camaro 2SS 1LE manual coupe, in that metallic blue they have. 🥰🥰🥰
That Vivid Orange is so dope! I had a new 2012 Camaro SS in that orange color with race stripes and I totally loved it! I also like the Challengers, but I'd rather have the Camaro. When they make the ZL1 in orange, I might just have to pull the trigger on it.
While I still really like the look of this Camaro SS, I would be a bit concerned with how low the front splitter is even with the notched out front of it. I wonder if Chevy has considered adding an electronic lift feature on this just as they have with the C8 Corvette. Anyway, it's still a great look car, especially with that vivid orange color.
It's really not that low. Did you notice the rubber front air deflectors below the bumpers? Those are sitting about two or three inches lower than the front splitter and I've never had anything scrape that. The front splitter should be fine unless you approach a very steep dip head on.
@@ninjagold9244 you must have some nice roads then. My car isn’t even low, it’s like 5.1 inches of ground clearance and I still bottom out on random shit every once and a while. Mainly speed bumps.
Great video and you gotta love that colour. It is very similar to a colour Brazen Orange that was on the 2006 Pontiac GTO Coupe that was built in Australia and exported to the US. That same colour was called “Fusion” on the Australian “Holden Special Vehicles” HSV VZ series and VE series lineup 2004 - 2007. I purchased a brand new HSV CLUBSPORT in Fusion back in January 2006 that had the 6.0 Litre LS2 GEN IV 297kw engine that put out 400hp. It was a AWESOME car.

The only reason I don’t own an SS/LT1 is because the Camaro team just couldn’t get the face right. If I had to choose between the SS & the GT (having driven both) then it’s the SS that gets my money. That said however … the Challenger 392 is my pony car of choice. The ZL1 = game over!! 🤣🤣🤣
Definitely that small opening in back is a pain. Plenty of actual trunk space. Just gotta be smaller stuff. When I took delivery of mine and went for a drive, I honestly was ready to send it back because of the visibility or lack thereof. But you do get used to it and I frickin love this car. Even 2 years later.

@@gabrielgiron4273 I simply don’t drive mine enough in poor weather for it to be worth it. Even on a winter’s day when the ground is dry the summer rubber simply doesn’t grip. It’s also important to note that the run flat tires that fit these types of cars run $350-400 a piece.
The one thing I wish it came with under the hood on the Camaro badge it should’ve been colored red white and blue just like the fender badge. I actually painted mine and it looks great. I have a 19 SS

The EV cars got me thinking twice because of you look at the channels that take them on road trips they're disasters especially when they decided to tow something. I'm talking about driving an hour then stop for an hour to charge that's if you got a good charging option that works. Even without towing it was still a major hassle trying to find chargers that actually work.
Beautiful color. All the negatives they say about the Carmaro is bunk. If you have a family, this car isn't for you. I'm a bachelor, so I'm not concerned about room in the backseat, trunk size is fine for groceries. As far a blindspots, I just adjusted my mirrors, and I'm good. It's so nice to drive a real car rather than some little colorless Japanese puddle jumping ricer. Even the horn sounds like a real car that I remember growing up with.

I don't know how you could go with any other color wheel for this color car than black, really. The orange calipers that don't really match the orange paint also sticks out to me.
bright wheels look classy, black wheels look like they came out of a junk yard, go about 10 miles and they look dirty, and they are a bugger to clean, besides picking up scratches more easily. i would never buy a car with black wheels.

Same here. I shopped Challenger R/T, SS GT and later GT PP1. The SS is superior in handling but that coyote engine is just such a joy in every way. It makes the GT a truly special car. I am so glad I got a 2020 though so I don’t have a choked version of the engine.
wheels are nice too .. I have to admit, I've been liking Black wheels on cars, bought Black wheels for my 2013 Camaro and have black accented wheels for my '02 Z28 ..
It's sharp, but it doesn't sell. Personally I find the cabin extremely tight with short side window openings. The other issue is pricing. The ZL1 Camaro gets close to the pricing of the base C8 Stingray. You mention the Mustang GT losing 10 HP. That's better than losing the entire engine like the Hemi Hellcat or the entire car like the Camaro which appears GM is discontinuing. Ford choose to drop 10 horsepower to meet Government regulations instead of dropping the Coyote. Most people would never feel the 10 less horsepower. My guess getting the 10 horsepower back should be an easy fix. The Mustang would be my easy choice over the Camaro
Informative review Joe as always. I've been a Mopar guy for the last 17 years, had two new Ram 1500's and a SRT 392 Challenger. I 'm switching over to Chevy for my next vehicle. I ordered a 2022 1LE SS Camaro on December 1st. I watched your review of the 1LE Camaro and was sold. In my opinion what you are getting for the price compared to the other two muscle cars was an easy decision. The 6 Gen Camaro is a better-looking car also. Can't wait for delivery hopefully by spring. I'll let you know how many honey buns I can fit in the door pockets.
When I was making my choice earlier this year looking at lightly used versions of the big three (no charger because I wanted a proper two door muscle car), it became clear that despite my love of the challengers styling that if you like to get the most out of your driving experience you want Mustang or Camaro due to their superior handling characteristic compared to the heavy Mopars. I like the sound and power curve on the 5.0, the interior is more fun and feels more special and is a bit more useable and I personally prefer the exterior styling. I love the front end feel on the SS though and having better low end torque is also fun. Ultimately I went with a 2020 Mustang GT PP1 (base) because I liked everything better about it save for the handling. I may look into throwing in a Hydraulic steering rack to fix that one flaw. However, if I was buying new today, that HP drop may sway me to pick the Camaro. Both were close and even though that hp drop is practically inconsequential, there is something about that that just makes the mustang less cool. That’s would be just one more reminder that you’re forgoing some performance for comfort and styling (assuming you are on the same page I am). Both are awesome and neither is a bad choice!
When it comes to handling, Camaro has it all day lol mustangs honestly sucks at that, I've test drove the 2019 mustangs gt, just felt like trash when came to turning and taking corners, felt like it was less stable especially compared to my 2013 Camaro, plus just put bc racing coilovers on recently, just can't beat the handling the Camaro offers over those mustangs
@@cormaro13 I think you’re overstating it a bit (I wouldn’t say it’s trash or sucks for the muscle segment. It still handles then mopars). I have the performance package which helps a bit. The 6th Gen Camaro is just a more rigid, better handling car though, absolutely. Wouldn’t be shocked that the fifth is too.

What a beautiful Camaro! & soundtrack is amazing, and I'd love to own one, one day. Personally, I'd go with one of the grey colours because it really matches well with the tail-lights, silver wheels, and the black accents at the bottom, not to mention the stealthy jet-fighter feeling. Having said this, the bright orange seriously reminds me of some Lambos.
Great video as always. Great package with the ground effects also. I agree with the wheel selection. Black wheels look cheap to me especially if there is no lip to separate the tire from the rim. I also love the tail lights over the the previous ones.
its not only the car color, but the silver wheels that make it stand out. i have a 2019 mustang with velocity blue paint, and am always getting compliments on the bright aluminum wheels that are a factory option. you dont get that with black wheels.
Shows that you really don’t know a lot about track cars. The Shelby Mustang makes a Camaro look silly on the track. Camaro died in 2002 and will die again in 2024.
@@mr.wilson8340 brother, we are talking about GT vs the SS. The SS is the superior track car (and I am saying this as a proud Mustang GT owner). An SS handles better then any GT variant period. Through a 1LE package on their and it’ll be as fast as a GT350. The SS has been a better track car then mustang since 2010. The mustang shines in being a compromise between still being nimble and light but not being so focused on rigidity that you have no space. Also I think that GT has more character right now (though that is preference). The only place where Mustangs are the track dominators is at the supercharged level where the GT500 kicks ass!
@@mr.wilson8340 no sir. I'm a huge Ford fan. I love all of the Big 3 but my preference lies with Ford. But just because I like Ford better doesn't mean I'm gonna deny that the Camaro is a better track car. People gloss over the fact that it should be anyways. Its built on the fucking Alpha platform which is light by nature and uses a good amount of aluminum. The Mustang sits on a rental platform with little to no use of aluminum. Hell, its impressive that the Mustang can compete with such a bad platform, but that doesn't change the reality that the Camaro is currently the better track car.
Coming from a heavily Ford family (parents drive Fords, Sister and her Husband drive Fords.) I personally drive a Subaru. But personally, I'm not super into the Mustang. I do find myself looking into Chevrolet more and more. Especially the Camaro offerings. If I was to get a muscle car to contrast with my Japanese sports car, it might just end up being a Camaro. I don't belive in being a "ride or die" enthusiast when it comes to car manufacturers. I've owned domestic and foreign, every brand has their ups and downs. Give them all a chance. You can be very surprised by a car made by a company you've ignored in the past. As for this specific Camaro, it looks real good in this bright orange. Nice choice.
@@blackie8083 well do you know what shifts this Camaro? A Ford transmission 😂😂🤣! Ford designed the 10 speed in "partnership" with GM who was supposed to design a 9 speed for FWD/AWD vehicles and Ford refused to use the GM 9 speed because it was trash, so they engineered their own 8 speed instead. GM still uses Ford's RWD/4X4 10 speed though. Seems like a sham deal for Ford if you ask me. I can personally attest to GM tranny's being trash.. I've got a 19 trail boss with GM 8 speed and it is total crap. It's slipped since I drove it off the lot. Dealership says there's nothing they can do.. it's just the way that these transmissions are.. "they're just known to shift a little hard" they said. No... They slip till it slams into gear🙄 then put "active fuel management" on top of it and the risk of dropping a valve and either needing new overhead or possibly a new engine and my faith in GM is pretty low. 2019 is the 3rd gen of active fuel management... You'd think by now they'd either have it down pat or have dropped it! Not the case.. there's been a pretty severe increase in valvetrain failure in the 3rd gen vehicles. Total joke! While every manufacturer has their failures.. I don't think I can risk it.. probably trading in before my warranty is up. You say friends don't let friends drive Ford's.. I'd say you should urge even your enemies not to drive a GM. While I haven't had problems with mine.. yet.. knock on wood.. my buddy has his new Tahoe in for it's second engine replacement with just over 17k on the clock. At least it's got a good tranny....
First time l seen that orange was a c6 loved it then and still do. I'm in agreement I'm tired of the black rims. Really wish they wouldn't discontinue this car, just re vamp it like they did the vette. It's worth it , well imo😊
My current lease is up in the summer and I think I'm gonna go Camaro Joe. And specifically this one, the SS. I've always loved them and I need to get me some of that 6.2L V8 goodness before it's all gone!

Since no one leaves their muscle car stock the 10 hp that you lose on the mustang can be made up in several easy ways. I have a 16 that I bought new. I now have 133k on it and it is FBO revs to 8k and still surprises me when I grab a gear. I've driven all of the muscle cars, I will keep my paid for GT as I've shown most of them my taillights over the yrs.
Nice car and I love the color! I like the power, the engine roar and he wheels are great looking! I’ve seen some cars with black wheels that look great and others that look like their have their spare tires on! Some cars look great with black wheels but I love chrome and silver old school! I have those wheels on my 2021 crush orange V6, 3LT, Camaro with orange calipers! Just two calipers in the front on the V6! I love the digital camera rear view mirror as well on my car, looks great for more rear view! I’ve gotten used to the high doors and low seat in my Camaro but I do have to raise myself up sometimes to make sure I’m not gonna scrape a curb! The blind spot warning on he side mirrors help tremendously but you gotta make sure not to trust them entirely when making lane changes! If a car is coming up fast on you, you could get side swiped! I learned that from near hits! I love my car and hope to step up into a C8 Corvette one day! Thanks for your awesome, informative videos bud! Imo the Camaro is a better car and "should" sell more then the mustang but like I've said for over a decade... Chevy should have redesigned the bunker style visibility and they'd have outsold Mustang. Oh well.
They haven’t captured the retro futurist styling very well. While the 5th Gen does look like a ‘69 sort of, think of it’s contemporaries. The challenger is still the king of retro design and late s197s look like the same GT Steve McQueen drove in bullitt. The Current gens are even less retro futurist. That was always a massive “zonk” for me and that along with the more entertaining (as well as usable) interior is a big reason why I went mustang. Despite all that I don’t hate that Chevy has done what it has done. The Camaro is the better track car car, the challenger and charger are the best road cars and the mustang is a nice compromise between the two. It means there is muscle for all tastes and driving styles.
I just like the look, visibility, and interior of the mustang GT more so I’d pick the GT tbh . plus I don’t plan on taking my car to the track so the “performance” isn’t really the dealbreaker for me cause the mustang is still as good imo
6Gen SS owner and the only thing the stock 5.0 Mustang GT does better than my car is accelerate faster at higher speed. The Camaro is better looking, rarer, faster of the start line, and retains its resale value compared to the Ford. Essentially the stock SS is a plug and play race car that you can leave the showroom and head straight to the racetrack in. Additionally, a lot of performance enhancing partners comes standard on the Camaro that you can only get with certain packages and model configurations on the Mustang. I can also appreciate the fact that there’s an added level of refinement to the Camaro noticeable absent with the Ford; More specifically the exhaust note. As good as a Mustang looks, due to its lower displacement engine, the driver has to really “step on it” and floor that thing in order to get high enough in the torque band to see some real performance. This is the main reason that factory exhaust note is so distinctively obnoxious. An aftermarket setup should land an owner a citation for disturbing the peace. I heard a Mustang last night from at least a mile away and kept thanking myself for not getting one. Mustangs are ubiquitous in a bad way & they just have a raw unrefined character to them that I don’t particularly like. Comparatively, Mustangs are like a body builder guy dressed down in a tshirt and some jeans whereas the Camaro is that exact same bodybuilder guy dressed up in a suit and tie. So yeah, while Mustangs are good but Camaros are just fcuking better 👍🏽
@@dougedoug2105 you literally just proved my point as to why I think the mustang is better 🤨 plus the ecoboost trim is like the “perfect” car and shows exactly why mustangs outsell Camaros. It also explains as to why Camaros are being discontinued coming 2023ish. Camaros are definitely nice but they’re just better “performance” cars meaning they go a little faster and handle a little better but like I said the visibility isn’t as good as the mustangs, the interior isn’t as good as the mustang, the MPGs aren’t as good as the mustang when you’re comparing to the ecoboost, and then the looks all comes down to preference. Mustang is a pony car/ muscle car while Camaro has turned into a sports car type of vehicle. It’s all based on preference but I think the mustang is better cause no one’s taking their car to the track everyday especially not the average person. Most of us just want a good looking, comfy and fast ride to cruise in to work or just cruise in the streets for a nice drive. Not everyone’s a “car enthusiast”

Love my 2022 , 2SS 1LE 6 SP, Red Hot Camaro, Best All around Muscle & Road Car, one problem with new cars are the paint, I told the dealership not to wash my car, my detailer pick up my car and took it to his shop, needed 2 paint corrections , put on 2 coats of ceramic coating, (Kamikaze) body and Rims, Looks Great, this car is very special to me, I’m 69 years old and my first car was a 69 SS 396 375 HP L78, loved that car , reliving my pass with this Camaro, 2 Different Beasts, thanks for your great review Channel 👍

The only thing that I don't like about the Camaro is that you don't have to work for the power and because of that, just keeping near the speed limit is something you have to always keep an eye on. The car wants to GO, not idle down the highway at 60-70 mph.

@@ButterlesToast Pretty much. The pedal on ours is pretty sensitive, but the car will continue to accelerate even as low as 2000 rpm if you want it to.
As a long time mustang fan, and after recently test driving two Camaros an lt1 and a 2ss, I can confirm that the Camaro is better in most areas. Right off the bat the torque feels way better than the coyote, the car feels stiffer and more planted, and the interior was a level better in my opinion. The fit and finish and the features like the heads up display make it just a better interior. The only problem I had with the car was that it was an electronic e-brake. The whole visibility complaint is massively overblown in my opinion. Now I just need to decide which transmission and color I prefer.

A big part of owning and buying one of the three performance cars ( Mustang, Camero, Dodge} is the fun of research and developing an opinion of which
one to get. You really can't go wrong regardless of your final choice. I've owned hotrods,{ two seaters,{ TR4 and a Nisson Fairlady} and several Corvettes all through the '70s and 80's. My final choice in 2019 even surprised me. After a month or so, I decided on a Challenger SP.
Research all three and of course test drive. Have faith in your decision, you really did make the right choice..

Respect for your hard work, I have watched every single one of your Camaro Videos, and I eventually sold my Camaro for a more pratical Cadillac CT5-V. I don't know , it's getting boring really really quick after having the muscle car, I only had it about 3 years, already tired of it, bad mpg, not safe in winter, unable to carry more than one passengers. It's bad to be the only car, but for a secondary fun car to drive in summer, Camaro definitely stands out, cool exterior with great driving dynamics. Will look for the last edition of petrol powered Camaro updates, probably buy a collection edition one to keep for life.

@@derekintrovert5619 It handles better. Now for daily driving a second or less difference around a track might not matter, but the thing you will notice is the front end feel is superior in the SS. I still went GT because I like everything else better about it, but the handling on the Camaro is unrivaled and straight line speed between the two is just about identical (comparing the pree HP dropped GTs to SSs I don’t know if that 10 HP drop changes that).

@@isaachunt5799 now that’s an extreme statement. The s550 blows the doors off all dodges in handling. It’s still turns quite well and is huckable, it’s just not as good as an SS in terms of handling. It’s still an excellent car. In every other way then handling its preference. The styling is more like on the mustang, (tho some prefer Camaro styling) the engines are both excellent (the 5.0 is generally a bit faster in a straight line though). Visibility is superior in the mustang and the interiors in both cars suck but I’d argue the mustangs interior is more interesting then the SS (that is an opinion tho). Both are excellent cars. I do think for daily driving the mustang is a bit more liveable tho.

it's easy, basically 3 trims, LT(2.0T or 3.6L), SS(NA-V8), Zl1(Super Charged V8). C8 Stingray has 1LT , 2LT and 3LT, basically just diffrentiated by how many options you have it on from a same base model. C8 is way better, congrats, man. I may only can afford it in like 10 years, lol

I bought an LT1 and was surprised how quickly I got used to the blind spots. Once the mirrors are positioned properly, everything was good.
I drove mine for about 15 minutes and never thought of it again!

While I still really like the look of this Camaro SS, I would be a bit concerned with how low the front splitter is even with the notched out front of it. I wonder if Chevy has considered adding an electronic lift feature on this just as they have with the C8 Corvette. Anyway, it's still a great look car, especially with that vivid orange color.
Easy solution brother. Park in reverse. That’s how I told my wife to do with her ‘21 LT1.
It's really not that low. Did you notice the rubber front air deflectors below the bumpers? Those are sitting about two or three inches lower than the front splitter and I've never had anything scrape that. The front splitter should be fine unless you approach a very steep dip head on.

It is very similar to a colour Brazen Orange that was on the 2006 Pontiac GTO Coupe that was built in Australia and exported to the US.
That same colour was called “Fusion” on the Australian “Holden Special Vehicles” HSV VZ series and VE series lineup 2004 - 2007.
I purchased a brand new HSV CLUBSPORT in Fusion back in January 2006 that had the 6.0 Litre LS2 GEN IV 297kw engine that put out 400hp.
It was a AWESOME car.

The only reason I don’t own an SS/LT1 is because the Camaro team just couldn’t get the face right. If I had to choose between the SS & the GT (having driven both) then it’s the SS that gets my money. That said however … the Challenger 392 is my pony car of choice. The ZL1 = game over!! 🤣🤣🤣

Definitely that small opening in back is a pain. Plenty of actual trunk space. Just gotta be smaller stuff. When I took delivery of mine and went for a drive, I honestly was ready to send it back because of the visibility or lack thereof. But you do get used to it and I frickin love this car. Even 2 years later.

@@gabrielgiron4273 I simply don’t drive mine enough in poor weather for it to be worth it. Even on a winter’s day when the ground is dry the summer rubber simply doesn’t grip. It’s also important to note that the run flat tires that fit these types of cars run $350-400 a piece.

The EV cars got me thinking twice because of you look at the channels that take them on road trips they're disasters especially when they decided to tow something. I'm talking about driving an hour then stop for an hour to charge that's if you got a good charging option that works. Even without towing it was still a major hassle trying to find chargers that actually work.

Beautiful color. All the negatives they say about the Carmaro is bunk. If you have a family, this car isn't for you. I'm a bachelor, so I'm not concerned about room in the backseat, trunk size is fine for groceries. As far a blindspots, I just adjusted my mirrors, and I'm good. It's so nice to drive a real car rather than some little colorless Japanese puddle jumping ricer. Even the horn sounds like a real car that I remember growing up with.
Even my corolla has far much higher built material quality than that cheapo chevy junkkk chevys will always be junkkk lol😂

bright wheels look classy, black wheels look like they came out of a junk yard, go about 10 miles and they look dirty, and they are a bugger to clean, besides picking up scratches more easily. i would never buy a car with black wheels.

Same here. I shopped Challenger R/T, SS GT and later GT PP1. The SS is superior in handling but that coyote engine is just such a joy in every way. It makes the GT a truly special car. I am so glad I got a 2020 though so I don’t have a choked version of the engine.

I love this car like a dream
It's sharp, but it doesn't sell. Personally I find the cabin extremely tight with short side window openings. The other issue is pricing. The ZL1 Camaro gets close to the pricing of the base C8 Stingray. You mention the Mustang GT losing 10 HP. That's better than losing the entire engine like the Hemi Hellcat or the entire car like the Camaro which appears GM is discontinuing. Ford choose to drop 10 horsepower to meet Government regulations instead of dropping the Coyote. Most people would never feel the 10 less horsepower. My guess getting the 10 horsepower back should be an easy fix. The Mustang would be my easy choice over the Camaro

Informative review Joe as always. I've been a Mopar guy for the last 17 years, had two new Ram 1500's and a SRT 392 Challenger. I 'm switching over to Chevy for my next vehicle. I ordered a 2022 1LE SS Camaro on December 1st. I watched your review of the 1LE Camaro and was sold. In my opinion what you are getting for the price compared to the other two muscle cars was an easy decision. The 6 Gen Camaro is a better-looking car also. Can't wait for delivery hopefully by spring. I'll let you know how many honey buns I can fit in the door pockets.
I already went with a Challenger, but that orange really makes the Camaro look a whole lot sexier

When I was making my choice earlier this year looking at lightly used versions of the big three (no charger because I wanted a proper two door muscle car), it became clear that despite my love of the challengers styling that if you like to get the most out of your driving experience you want Mustang or Camaro due to their superior handling characteristic compared to the heavy Mopars. I like the sound and power curve on the 5.0, the interior is more fun and feels more special and is a bit more useable and I personally prefer the exterior styling. I love the front end feel on the SS though and having better low end torque is also fun. Ultimately I went with a 2020 Mustang GT PP1 (base) because I liked everything better about it save for the handling. I may look into throwing in a Hydraulic steering rack to fix that one flaw.
However, if I was buying new today, that HP drop may sway me to pick the Camaro. Both were close and even though that hp drop is practically inconsequential, there is something about that that just makes the mustang less cool. That’s would be just one more reminder that you’re forgoing some performance for comfort and styling (assuming you are on the same page I am). Both are awesome and neither is a bad choice!
When it comes to handling, Camaro has it all day lol mustangs honestly sucks at that, I've test drove the 2019 mustangs gt, just felt like trash when came to turning and taking corners, felt like it was less stable especially compared to my 2013 Camaro, plus just put bc racing coilovers on recently, just can't beat the handling the Camaro offers over those mustangs
@@cormaro13 I think you’re overstating it a bit (I wouldn’t say it’s trash or sucks for the muscle segment. It still handles then mopars). I have the performance package which helps a bit. The 6th Gen Camaro is just a more rigid, better handling car though, absolutely. Wouldn’t be shocked that the fifth is too.
@@ceooflovingthehomies9294 sorry my words were a little harsh towards it lol I believe the 2019 I test drove had the performance pack, it just felt a little too nimble when taking corners between the speeds of 30 and 40, just means u need to do some bmr shopping for Christmas 😂

What a beautiful Camaro! & soundtrack is amazing, and I'd love to own one, one day. Personally, I'd go with one of the grey colours because it really matches well with the tail-lights, silver wheels, and the black accents at the bottom, not to mention the stealthy jet-fighter feeling. Having said this, the bright orange seriously reminds me of some Lambos.

Great video as always. Great package with the ground effects also. I agree with the wheel selection. Black wheels look cheap to me especially if there is no lip to separate the tire from the rim. I also love the tail lights over the the previous ones.

its not only the car color, but the silver wheels that make it stand out. i have a 2019 mustang with velocity blue paint, and am always getting compliments on the bright aluminum wheels that are a factory option. you dont get that with black wheels.
they should just do an automatic rear seat delete on those, make it an extra cargo/storage area. beautiful color! ☮

Shows that you really don’t know a lot about track cars. The Shelby Mustang makes a Camaro look silly on the track. Camaro died in 2002 and will die again in 2024.

@@mr.wilson8340 brother, we are talking about GT vs the SS. The SS is the superior track car (and I am saying this as a proud Mustang GT owner). An SS handles better then any GT variant period. Through a 1LE package on their and it’ll be as fast as a GT350. The SS has been a better track car then mustang since 2010. The mustang shines in being a compromise between still being nimble and light but not being so focused on rigidity that you have no space. Also I think that GT has more character right now (though that is preference). The only place where Mustangs are the track dominators is at the supercharged level where the GT500 kicks ass!
@@mr.wilson8340 no sir. I'm a huge Ford fan. I love all of the Big 3 but my preference lies with Ford. But just because I like Ford better doesn't mean I'm gonna deny that the Camaro is a better track car. People gloss over the fact that it should be anyways. Its built on the fucking Alpha platform which is light by nature and uses a good amount of aluminum. The Mustang sits on a rental platform with little to no use of aluminum. Hell, its impressive that the Mustang can compete with such a bad platform, but that doesn't change the reality that the Camaro is currently the better track car.
Coming from a heavily Ford family (parents drive Fords, Sister and her Husband drive Fords.) I personally drive a Subaru. But personally, I'm not super into the Mustang. I do find myself looking into Chevrolet more and more. Especially the Camaro offerings. If I was to get a muscle car to contrast with my Japanese sports car, it might just end up being a Camaro. I don't belive in being a "ride or die" enthusiast when it comes to car manufacturers. I've owned domestic and foreign, every brand has their ups and downs. Give them all a chance. You can be very surprised by a car made by a company you've ignored in the past. As for this specific Camaro, it looks real good in this bright orange. Nice choice.

@@blackie8083 well do you know what shifts this Camaro? A Ford transmission 😂😂🤣! Ford designed the 10 speed in "partnership" with GM who was supposed to design a 9 speed for FWD/AWD vehicles and Ford refused to use the GM 9 speed because it was trash, so they engineered their own 8 speed instead. GM still uses Ford's RWD/4X4 10 speed though. Seems like a sham deal for Ford if you ask me. I can personally attest to GM tranny's being trash.. I've got a 19 trail boss with GM 8 speed and it is total crap. It's slipped since I drove it off the lot. Dealership says there's nothing they can do.. it's just the way that these transmissions are.. "they're just known to shift a little hard" they said. No... They slip till it slams into gear🙄 then put "active fuel management" on top of it and the risk of dropping a valve and either needing new overhead or possibly a new engine and my faith in GM is pretty low. 2019 is the 3rd gen of active fuel management... You'd think by now they'd either have it down pat or have dropped it! Not the case.. there's been a pretty severe increase in valvetrain failure in the 3rd gen vehicles. Total joke! While every manufacturer has their failures.. I don't think I can risk it.. probably trading in before my warranty is up. You say friends don't let friends drive Ford's.. I'd say you should urge even your enemies not to drive a GM. While I haven't had problems with mine.. yet.. knock on wood.. my buddy has his new Tahoe in for it's second engine replacement with just over 17k on the clock. At least it's got a good tranny....

Since no one leaves their muscle car stock the 10 hp that you lose on the mustang can be made up in several easy ways. I have a 16 that I bought new. I now have 133k on it and it is FBO revs to 8k and still surprises me when I grab a gear. I've driven all of the muscle cars, I will keep my paid for GT as I've shown most of them my taillights over the yrs.

Nice car and I love the color! I like the power, the engine roar and he wheels are great looking! I’ve seen some cars with black wheels that look great and others that look like their have their spare tires on! Some cars look great with black wheels but I love chrome and silver old school! I have those wheels on my 2021 crush orange V6, 3LT, Camaro with orange calipers! Just two calipers in the front on the V6! I love the digital camera rear view mirror as well on my car, looks great for more rear view! I’ve gotten used to the high doors and low seat in my Camaro but I do have to raise myself up sometimes to make sure I’m not gonna scrape a curb! The blind spot warning on he side mirrors help tremendously but you gotta make sure not to trust them entirely when making lane changes! If a car is coming up fast on you, you could get side swiped! I learned that from near hits! I love my car and hope to step up into a C8 Corvette one day! Thanks for your awesome, informative videos bud! (I did a real amateur one on my channel when I first picked up my car a couple of years ago and shouted your channel out!) I got over 8K views now, not too bad! Im learning from you bud! Chevy should have redesigned the bunker style visibility and they'd have outsold Mustang.

They haven’t captured the retro futurist styling very well. While the 5th Gen does look like a ‘69 sort of, think of it’s contemporaries. The challenger is still the king of retro design and late s197s look like the same GT Steve McQueen drove in bullitt. The Current gens are even less retro futurist. That was always a massive “zonk” for me and that along with the more entertaining (as well as usable) interior is a big reason why I went mustang. Despite all that I don’t hate that Chevy has done what it has done. The Camaro is the better track car car, the challenger and charger are the best road cars and the mustang is a nice compromise between the two. It means there is muscle for all tastes and driving styles.
I just like the look, visibility, and interior of the mustang GT more so I’d pick the GT tbh . plus I don’t plan on taking my car to the track so the “performance” isn’t really the dealbreaker for me cause the mustang is still as good imo
6Gen SS owner and the only thing the stock 5.0 Mustang GT does better than my car is accelerate faster at higher speed. The Camaro is better looking, rarer, faster of the start line, and retains its resale value compared to the Ford. Essentially the stock SS is a plug and play race car that you can leave the showroom and head straight to the racetrack in.
Additionally, a lot of performance enhancing partners comes standard on the Camaro that you can only get with certain packages and model configurations on the Mustang. I can also appreciate the fact that there’s an added level of refinement to the Camaro noticeable absent with the Ford; More specifically the exhaust note. As good as a Mustang looks, due to its lower displacement engine, the driver has to really “step on it” and floor that thing in order to get high enough in the torque band to see some real performance.
This is the main reason that factory exhaust note is so distinctively obnoxious. An aftermarket setup should land an owner a citation for disturbing the peace. I heard a Mustang last night from at least a mile away and kept thanking myself for not getting one. Mustangs are ubiquitous in a bad way & they just have a raw unrefined character to them that I don’t particularly like. Comparatively, Mustangs are like a body builder guy dressed down in a tshirt and some jeans whereas the Camaro is that exact same bodybuilder guy dressed up in a suit and tie. So yeah, while Mustangs are good but Camaros are just fcuking better 👍🏽

It also explains as to why Camaros are being discontinued coming 2023ish. Camaros are definitely nice but they’re just better “performance” cars meaning they go a little faster and handle a little better but like I said the visibility isn’t as good as the mustangs, the interior isn’t as good as the mustang, the MPGs aren’t as good as the mustang when you’re comparing to the ecoboost, and then the looks all comes down to preference. Mustang is a pony car/ muscle car while Camaro has turned into a sports car type of vehicle. It’s all based on preference but I think the mustang is better cause no one’s taking their car to the track everyday especially not the average person. Most of us just want a good looking, comfy and fast ride to cruise in to work or just cruise in the streets for a nice drive. Not everyone’s a “car enthusiast”
