Had a 2018 Corvette stingray. Sold it and purchased the 2022 Camaro 2SS. This is the best car I’ve owned. Great ride with performance. You really can’t go wrong with this car.

After watching this video I started looking for this specific car, except a 1SS. One finally showed up in the Chevy inventory search 3 weeks ago, and like a signal from God it was at a dealer only an hour from me. I traded in my 2021 Camaro LT1 and the dealer gave me more than I originally paid for it, as well as honoring the family discount I have through my grandfather. I ended up paying $8k out the door for the upgrade which I think is a steal for the dream car. The rapid blue looks incredible in person and the car has gotten many compliments already and I've only had it a week.

@@EuroUSA I traded a 2021 Camaro LT1 (that I paid 36k for new) and $8k for a new 2022 Camaro SS 1LE. I have a family discount for GM vehicles because my grandfather is a pensioned GM retiree. I think it saved me $1.5k, can't remember exactly.

100% agree! Kinda reminds me of the gripes about the GTO during the early 2000s that supposedly didn’t look like a GTO? One day I took my three favorite years and put them next to each other: 1964, 1970, and 2006. They styling was true to form, they all had 4 headlights, two hood scoops, two tailpipes on each side...whatdafuck do you mean it doesn’t look like a GTO? Can’t please everyone.

As an owner of a 2022 Vivid Orange SS ILE, and a previous owner of a 2016 2.0L 6MT I can say without a doubt, if you are thinking about getting this car, just get it! It is as good or better than my sky high expectations! Get it twice like this guy, it is that good!
Amen friend. I've driven the Mopars and Mustangs and wasn't too thrilled... I took a chance on driving an SS a few months ago and haven't had so much fun in a car in years. I cannot wait to pick one up (might just do the LT1 though)....
The new Camaros are so ugly I don't know how anybody could even look at one. The Camaro died in 2002 1993 to 1997 was the ultimate Camaro. They're so ugly I actually drove one for the first time it was like driving a Caprice with 400 horsepower it was awful. I used to be a Camaro enthusiast I had to sell myself to forward and buy a Ford Mustang because of this BS I'm glad they're going to stop making the Camaros they are so ugly nobody is going to buy them. I sold my soul to a Ford Mustang because I cannot take the new Camaros. Now I have to live in this price driving a Ford Mustang because Chevrolet had to come out with this new body style in 2010 only if I could find a 93 to 97 Z28 Camaro I can get myself back get my Integrity in dignity back the new Camaro sucks..
I always hear the terrible visibility of this car. It does have a high belt line and sits very low. The high belt line will protect you from getting t-boned by a huge SUV. I have a 2SS and there is a secondary backup camera. You have the option on the rearview mirror to view this backup camera at any time, which can zoom in and out. The view is ridiculous. I'm so glad I got this car in this color with PDR & 6M as well! It check all the boxes for me and I'll be keeping this car for a long time..This car is very hard to find but if you can find it it will be worth it! Your review made me go out for a drive now.... see ya later! Great review.
I just took delivery of a 2SS 1lE two weeks ago, I ordered it in September. I've had a lot of fast cars but this car may be my favorite, even over the Scat Pack. It has the best sounding stock exhaust I've ever heard, the cracks and pops are ridiculous. FYI the 1LE option was $7000, well worth it IMO. Thanks for the video!

Wow, September!! I ordered my 1LE in late Oct 21, per Chevy, it’s built and in “Awaiting Dispatch” status, which I think is a Ghost term for “sitting waiting on Chips”. Hopefully maybe by mid to late June I’ll have it?? Who knows, Chevy don’t tell you shit!!
This is the perfect video for me. I had a 2020 challenger 392 and traded down to a 2017 Sti, I love the subie but I miss that beefy v8 roar. Wanted to get another 392 but a manual 2SS 1LE is looking pretty delicious now
I actually ended up getting a 1LE 1SS. It sounds crazy, but the handling from what I can tell is way better than the Sti. Still need more testing but good lord these things really are track weapons. Between my 2017 5.0 premium performance pack, 2020 scat pack challenger and 2017 Sti Limited, the 1LE is my favorite by far.

Gotta say that exhaust sounds amazing for stock. My challenger stock sounds great but had to do a mid muffler delete and add in Vibrants to be even better. I wouldn’t even touch this it sounds that good. I was looking at a 2ss 1le before I bought my widebody challenger TA. But these 22s rims look aftermarket good.
@@RaitisRides thanks for replying! It honestly came down to the looks, I wanted that muscle car look the widebody challenger had in spades. The Camaro has some better features here and there if you option that way but maybe if I ever trade mine it I might grab a 2ss 1le with all the goodies, when I priced it out back in sept a fully loaded one from the factory was actually 4K cheaper then my challenger as I optioned it out. If the Camaro had more of that old school muscle look I’d be driving it right now lol. But as a modern sport car it looks phenomenal

will be in the market for one of these in the next couple months! planning on throwing an intake, headers, cams on it with a e85 tune and exhaust. take it over 600hp and just leave it like that. All motor, sounding meaner than it already does. absolutely in love with this car

Joe, I think a 1LE Camaro is the best bang for your buck in the performance category. I feel like I'm blessed to have a 2021 2SS 1LE Camaro, Riverside Blue, 6-Speed Tremec. I remember the first video with "G" and he did GREAT with this Rapid Blue one. My car has the same exact equipment as G's Camaro, just a different shade of blue! They're so hard to find in general, I'm going to hang on to mine... it is special! That was a blast to watch Joe, you had one heck of a time driving it! Well I can tell you what I did. I researched all three cars mentioned and made a decision. Put an order in October 2022. My car arrived and I picked it up June 24th 2023. I ordered the 2SS 1LE in rapid blue. Absolutely amazing car and so glad I did. Also got the 6 speed manual had not driven manual in 10 years so easy to drive no stalls at all with it. Glad I went Camaro 2SS1LE, Manual, and Rapid Blue for me it checks every box. Great video they are fun to drive. Only have 67 miles on it so have a little bit to go for the break in.
Absolutely love my 2021 2SS 1LE. I traded out of my 21 scat pack widebody for this. I did love my challenger scat a lot though! super cool car but the 1le is THE best overall sports car out of this segment, hands down. I raced a BMW M6 sedan the other day and he could not gain on me. I laughed because my car was 52k and his is probably 150k. AMERICAN MUSCLE BABY
I had a 2016 Challenger 392 and this completely embarrasses it in many ways. The Challenger is a boat and feels massive. Although the Challenger has great low end torque, it gets old smoking the tires when you're trying to hook up. Also I don't know why people complain so much about the visibility in the Camaro. I have a 2021 1SS 1LE and I have no problems with blind spots. Anyways, great video as always!

I’ve owned Mustangs the bulk of my 52 yrs on this planet…multiple Fox GTs, Mach 1, GT500 SVTPP, and a few verts. In 2018 I decided to be open minded and found a 2SS 1LE with all the options to include the awesome video data recorder. That car by far was my favorite muscle car, brand loyalty be darned! Go try a 1LE, handling is like rails, engine note…MUSIC! Great review, it is the real deal…unfortunately my family didn’t fit in it well so it went down the road to the tune of a truck and new boat. Lol
The Camaro is my favorite, it's the sweet spot for best handling, a good torquey pushrod V8, a terrifice Tremec T6060 transmission and it looks great. Best package for sure and the 1LE is a bargain for what you get. A widebody Scat Pack with a few options runs nearly $60K, might as well just go for a ZL1 at that price point. I've seriously considered trading my '17 SS M6 for a '22/'22 SS 1LE.

just traded my c7 corvette 7m for a 22 2SS 6m camaro, and love it, ive owned challenger RTs they are nice and my second favorite of the 3 muscle car out there but camaro performs sowell
I’m personally not a fan of the front end of these newer Camaros but everything else about it is phenomenal. Nearly impossible to find something as good for the money, especially the 1le

@@QuinLIVE scat packs are significantly slower than the other cars even with the extra horsepower and cost significantly more with comparable options. Also, the 6.4 drinks gas while my 6.2 camaro sips it. I get 30mpg on the highway - good luck with that in the 6.4. The only advantage that Dodge has is that it offers a 4 door still. Chevy was dumb to stop producing the Commodore/SS.

I looked at the Mach1 and it cost several thousand more than a Camaro with the 1LE option, the Camaro is the better choice IMO and I'm biased anyway🤣 I'm on my third Camaro and probably the last one I'll ever own ☹ and I went with the 1SS I don't care about all those extras on the 2SS!
Waiting for the 23 camaro to be announced I would order a 22 but by the time I get one 2022 will be done. I hope they keep rapid blue I want a 1ss over 2ss because it’s not gonna be a daily
The Camaros are getting more power as well. 460hp to 480h on the SS, the ZL1s are getting more power and the ZL1 1LE is getting way more power. It’s going to be in the vicinity of 760 plus if I’m not mistaken.
What a treat again Joe, man same for me as GI, my favorite was red hot, but when rapid blue came out, that was it. Car looks amazing, same spec as I’ll get, if it was me, only other muscle car I’ll consider is the Mach1 with handling pack. Great video Joe 👍
Everyone has their own opinions! I test drove the 2021 Camaro, a 2019 Ford Mustang GT and a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack. All were manual trans. And with 6-7k miles. The Challenger by far is the most muscle car of them all. I actually thought the 5th Generation Camaro looked better. I think if you’re a Chevy guy you will pick a Camaro but I went in with an open mind. For my money I bought the challenger.
The contrast between the Rapid Blue and the black hood gives me a headache just looking at it in this video. A friend of mine had a SS 1LE and it was spectacular when you drove it like the performance car it is. When driving it within the limits of the law, I became claustrophibic. I wish he still had it because it was fun to drive.
At first glance I wasn't in love with the color, so I dismissed the car based on that. Not a good decision on my part. lol I'd take this over a Mustang or Challenger any day.
Just a Mopar fan stopping by to check this out. I was always a fan of Grabber blue, so this caught my attention. It appears they've abandoned any kind of retro styling and now it's just a Mustang/Vette mish-mash. I currently have a 2022 white Challenger RT to honour Vanishing Point. Only Dodge keeping the 70's alive.
Using a Mercedes platform from 2002 and not being able to put the power down. Yeah "keeping the 70s alive" is trash. If keeping the 70s alive is not being able to turn or to only be barely functional on a set of mickey Thompsons and a prepped drag strip, then you can have it.

This whole " keeping it like the classics" makes it under perform in every aspect. Still cast iron still riding around on an 2000's Mercedes chassis and still can't do anything but drive straight. And isn't the best at that either. I don't get how many watered down versions of the same car since 2000s you can have until it gets burnt out. But yeah.... retro.
18’ SS 1LE was my first car in High School, and I loved it. Sold it last year bc I was getting more money than I paid and plus it wasn’t practical for a college student 😂
i have a 2013 ss1le with headers,no cats borla atak ,vararam intake with air scoop,underdrive pulley and tune and even though its older its the best sounding,hardest pulling best feeling and handling car i have ever owned or driven and even the factory short throw shifter is perfect

I finally picked my 2SS 1LE up this past weekend. It’s worth every penny. Love everything about it, and I have absolutely no issues with visibility.

I have a 2SS and there is a secondary backup camera. You have the option on the rearview mirror to view this backup camera at any time, which can zoom in and out. The view is ridiculous. No blind spots at all.
I'm so glad I got this car in this color with PDR & 6M as well! It check all the boxes for me and I'll be keeping this car for a long time..This car is very hard to find but if you can find it it will be worth it! Your review made me go out for a drive now.... see ya later! Great review.
I just took delivery of a 2SS 1lE two weeks ago, I ordered it in September. I've had a lot of fast cars but this car may be my favorite, even over the Scat Pack. It has the best sounding stock exhaust I've ever heard, the cracks and pops are ridiculous. FYI the 1LE option was $7000, well worth it IMO. Thanks for the video!
With the Camaro, you get track performance from the factory. The scat.... Not so much
You can get a used hellcat for cheaper and it will gap the baby 2ss easily

Wow, September!! I ordered my 1LE in late Oct 21, per Chevy, it’s built and in “Awaiting Dispatch” status, which I think is a Ghost term for “sitting waiting on Chips”. Hopefully maybe by mid to late June I’ll have it?? Who knows, Chevy don’t tell you shit!!
This is the perfect video for me. I had a 2020 challenger 392 and traded down to a 2017 Sti, I love the subie but I miss that beefy v8 roar. Wanted to get another 392 but a manual 2SS 1LE is looking pretty delicious now

I actually ended up getting a 1LE 1SS. It sounds crazy, but the handling from what I can tell is way better than the Sti. Still need more testing but good lord these things really are track weapons.
Between my 2017 5.0 premium performance pack, 2020 scat pack challenger and 2017 Sti Limited, the 1LE is my favorite by far.
I’m in the market for one of these right now, specifically the 2SS 1LE and Rati must’ve known because this couldn’t have been better timing. Thank you so much for your review on this beauty.

The visibility issue is fixed with the digital rear view mirror. The best thing they could’ve put into the Camaro

Gotta say that exhaust sounds amazing for stock. My challenger stock sounds great but had to do a mid muffler delete and add in Vibrants to be even better. I wouldn’t even touch this it sounds that good. I was looking at a 2ss 1le before I bought my widebody challenger TA. But these 22s rims look aftermarket good.

@@RaitisRides thanks for replying! It honestly came down to the looks, I wanted that muscle car look the widebody challenger had in spades. The Camaro has some better features here and there if you option that way but maybe if I ever trade mine it I might grab a 2ss 1le with all the goodies, when I priced it out back in sept a fully loaded one from the factory was actually 4K cheaper then my challenger as I optioned it out. If the Camaro had more of that old school muscle look I’d be driving it right now lol. But as a modern sport car it looks phenomenal

Joe, I think a 1LE Camaro is the best bang for your buck in the performance category. I feel like I'm blessed to have a 2021 2SS 1LE Camaro, Riverside Blue, 6-Speed Tremec. I remember the first video with "G" and he did GREAT with this Rapid Blue one. My car has the same exact equipment as G's Camaro, just a different shade of blue! They're so hard to find in general, I'm going to hang on to mine... it is special! That was a blast to watch Joe, you had one heck of a time driving it! The best 1LE Camaro video on UA-cam... right here.

Well I can tell you what I did. I researched all three cars mentioned and made a decision. Put an order in October 2022. My car arrived and I picked it up June 24th 2023. I ordered the 2SS 1LE in rapid blue. Absolutely amazing car and so glad I did. Also got the 6 speed manual had not driven manual in 10 years so easy to drive no stalls at all with it. Glad I went Camaro 2SS1LE, Manual, and Rapid Blue for me it checks every box. Great video they are fun to drive. Only have 67 miles on it so have a little bit to go for the break in.

Absolutely love my 2021 2SS 1LE. I traded out of my 21 scat pack widebody for this. I did love my challenger scat a lot though! super cool car but the 1le is THE best overall sports car out of this segment, hands down. I raced a BMW M6 sedan the other day and he could not gain on me. I laughed because my car was 52k and his is probably 150k. AMERICAN MUSCLE BABY
I had a 2016 Challenger 392 and this completely embarrasses it in many ways. The Challenger is a boat and feels massive. Although the Challenger has great low end torque, it gets old smoking the tires when you're trying to hook up. Also I don't know why people complain so much about the visibility in the Camaro. I have a 2021 1SS 1LE and I have no problems with blind spots. Anyways, great video as always!

I’ve owned Mustangs the bulk of my 52 yrs on this planet…multiple Fox GTs, Mach 1, GT500 SVTPP, and a few verts. In 2018 I decided to be open minded and found a 2SS 1LE with all the options to include the awesome video data recorder. That car by far was my favorite muscle car, brand loyalty be darned! Go try a 1LE, handling is like rails, engine note…MUSIC! Great review, it is the real deal…unfortunately my family didn’t fit in it well so it went down the road to the tune of a truck and new boat. Lol
The Camaro is my favorite, it's the sweet spot for best handling, a good torquey pushrod V8, a terrifice Tremec T6060 transmission and it looks great. Best package for sure and the 1LE is a bargain for what you get. A widebody Scat Pack with a few options runs nearly $60K, might as well just go for a ZL1 at that price point. I've seriously considered trading my '17 SS M6 for a '22/'22 SS 1LE.

As a Camaro guy, I love everything about it, only thing missing is a sun roof though. Nice review buddy and looking forward to the 750K party!
You can get a sunroof for the camaro on the 2ss trim, it comes as an additional option, my buddy has one

Unfortunately the 1LE does not come with a sunroof. You can’t have that on the 1LE. Not sure why GM has it set that way.

@@QuinLIVE scat packs are significantly slower than the other cars even with the extra horsepower and cost significantly more with comparable options. Also, the 6.4 drinks gas while my 6.2 camaro sips it. I get 30mpg on the highway - good luck with that in the 6.4. The only advantage that Dodge has is that it offers a 4 door still. Chevy was dumb to stop producing the Commodore/SS.

That a 1-2 mpg difference straight from dealer estimates yet your acting like we’re comparing the 6.4 to a Prius lmao

I looked at the Mach1 and it cost several thousand more than a Camaro with the 1LE option, the Camaro is the better choice IMO and I'm biased anyway🤣 I'm on my third Camaro and probably the last one I'll ever own ☹ and I went with the 1SS I don't care about all those extras on the 2SS!

The Camaros are getting more power as well. 460hp to 480h on the SS, the ZL1s are getting more power and the ZL1 1LE is getting way more power. It’s going to be in the vicinity of 760 plus if I’m not mistaken.

Everyone has their own opinions! I test drove the 2021 Camaro, a 2019 Ford Mustang GT and a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack. All were manual trans. And with 6-7k miles. The Challenger by far is the most muscle car of them all. I actually thought the 5th Generation Camaro looked better. I think if you’re a Chevy guy you will pick a Camaro but I went in with an open mind. For my money I bought the challenger.
The contrast between the Rapid Blue and the black hood gives me a headache just looking at it in this video. A friend of mine had a SS 1LE and it was spectacular when you drove it like the performance car it is. When driving it within the limits of the law, I became claustrophibic. I wish he still had it because it was fun to drive.

It appears they've abandoned any kind of retro styling and now it's just a Mustang/Vette mish-mash. I currently have a 2022 white Challenger RT to honour Vanishing Point. This whole " keeping it like the classics" makes it under perform in every aspect. Still cast iron still riding around on an 2000's Mercedes chassis and still can't do anything but drive straight. And isn't the best at that either. I don't get how many watered down versions of the same car since 2000s you can have until it gets burnt out. But yeah.... retro.

i have a 2013 ss1le with headers,no cats borla atak ,vararam intake with air scoop,underdrive pulley and tune and even though its older its the best sounding,hardest pulling best feeling and handling car i have ever owned or driven and even the factory short throw shifter is perfect
