I dropped by our dealer today in Anchorage, Ak. There was probably 50 or 60 Tacos on the lot, and twice that many Tundras. Man, how the script has flipped in just a few years. It went from an empty lot to one with no more room.🤯
Thanks again for all the great videos Kenny. And I agree with most people that Toyota just priced the 4th gen too high. But I also think it is a beautiful truck; just too expensive. Toyota needs to seriously think about this going into MY ‘25 and beyond.
I think 37's is pushing your luck with the bogus internal bump stops and the lack of an external transmission intercooler. That's just asking for trouble. The underpinnings are under built. Lifting and putting huge tires will likely lead to overheating differential and shocks blowing out the cast aluminum top hats. In fact its my theory that the transmission that are failing are due to overheating. This truck has design defects.
So if you put down 18K and finance 40K for 5 years your payment is still over 800 dollars. But most will only put down 5K and your payment would be over 1K/month for 5 years. That is why these trucks sit.
Yah that doesn't even include the increased insurance for more expensive vehicles, nor the potential for higher maintenance costs compared with older vehicles that have plenty of parts in circulation. I'd either buy a discounted Nissan Frontier or a discounted Ford Ranger Raptor depending on if I'm looking for reliability or fun, over any of the new tacomas. This is coming from a 4runner owner and wish toyota would do better for less.
@@MeJonTheDon Doubt that. The new Yota CEO is more about the bottom line then ever. At one of the most expensive mid sizes its a hard pass considering how competitive the segment is now. Maybe if they had released this in 2020 before the rest released their new generations it might have been plausible. Especially when the gov was shelling out fee stimulus back then. But now a Sr5 can see a payment north of 1000. I think somebody needs to update these bone head CEO's that stimulus is no more. Low interest is over. They literally need to step down price points across the board or end up bankrupt like Stellantis.
@@MeJonTheDon I was committing on your statement " and wish toyota would do better for less." In that I highly doubt the new CEO has any care of going back to providing good valued products. Nope. Its cut every corner you can and shave manufacturing costs wherever possible while maintaining a FAT profit margin. Sort of like iPhones lol.
That black SR5 with the cheap mud flaps on the back on none on the front , back ones are non functional not covering to the outside of the tire to keep debris from hitting the back fender. Really like the bronze oxide color, but they are still over priced for what you get though. I got the 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X fully loaded for way less than any of the trims on the Tacoma and love it so far. Never even thought about a midsize truck when I decided to get rid of BMW X5, but needed something more reliable and a better vehicle to haul my boat trailer and to do some occasional off roading. I originally looked at a full size truck, but they wouldn't fit in my garage, so started looking at midsize, and I test drove em all and decided on the Pro 4X for its comfort, reliability, price, and the NA V6 because I didn't want a 4 cylinder turbo. Great video Kenny..love the enthusiasm 👍
Kenny Buah, they just playing with the price. Keep money off MSRP and offer them to pay cost on dealer installed items which should be no more than 15-20% of what they listed on the addendum. Then you good Buah!
Hopefully Toyota will listen to their once faithful consumer and fix the issues, put a V6 with a transmission cooler back in the Tacoma, or at least the option for a V6. Frame mount the bump stops again and fix the diff and transmission problems.
Congratulations my friend that’s an awesome truck glad I could help Yassir is a great guy! Thanks for letting me know and checking out the channel I truly appreciate the support! Have a great weekend and enjoy that new truck I love the suspension !!

The last Tacoma sport is my favorite 🔥🔥
Yeah it looks pretty awesome 😎 6 foot bed too !
The bronze long bed does look good all jacked up with those tires, I will admit

Q: Does the TRD off road sits higher than the Sport?
That Tacoma should be $40k. Beyond that you’re in full size territory.
