This video helped me install this on my 2022 Pioneer 520. I paid $509.15 shipped. Couple pointers that might help. You can remove the hood and have great access. No need to remove anything else other than part of the skid plate at the bottom to run the wires back to the battery. I'm not a gear head so I had to figure out to completely remove the screws on the ujoints to get them all the way on the rack and pinion and the steering shaft. Nothing was lining up so that gave me the indication something wasn't right. Another good indication is the mounting bracket needs to sit flush against the cross member. I also tapped into the black wire of the 12v socket whereas the instructions that came with the kit said to tap into the brown wire from the ignition. There was no brown wire and when I surfed a utv forum someone made a great point that taping into the ignition increases the chances of a short and then you're stuck in the woods. If you tap into the 12v accessory, worst that can happen is it smokes a fuse, but you can still start it and drive it. Hope this helps someone else.
Nice video as I am looking to do this EPS install for my 520. Quick question, will this unit overload the electrical system wattage wise? Just don’t want to cause any electrical issues for the ECM or fuel injection by possibly overloading the power. Thanks!
Nice job on the video. I made a storage area under my hood with a piece of poly. It sets on the frame where the plate mounts. I would have to relocate the module in order to retain the storage as it is now. Are the wires long enough to move it closer to the dash?
Sold this P500 but it works very well. I am a dealer for Demon and can get you one shipped to your door if you are interested! hit me up on IG @projectatv_powersports
