The Tuya Dev Website has been a little unstable and had a lot of issues the past few days. I ran into a fair few problems during this process so it's not 100% full proof. If enough people are interested I can show another method for setting up Local Tuya that doesn't need the Tuya Developer account / website.
In this video we will be running through the setup process for Local Tuya. We will also be having a look at some of the differences between using the Tuya Cloud service and using Local Tuya. This is just a brief comparison with no techy specs.

Because I ran into a few issues I have also put together a quick video separate to this one showing some issues and fixes.
You can check that out here: • LOCAL TUYA HELP (Tuya ...
Why is this separate? - Not everyone will have these problems (some are website specific so may be resolved by now or in the future) so I didn't want to fill the video with unnecessary issues and fixes
Local Tuya is not a standard integration. You will need to have HACS installed to access it. Check my links below for info on how to install HACS.

This Tutorial was created a few months ago now. Since then the Tuya API and menus have updated and changed slightly. The steps still work but the menus are now in different places. I will be creating a NEW Tutorial for this soon.
Cheers.
was just following this tutorial to the point i got to api management and the damn thing has moved somewhere hha
@@nicolasraby2967 you can find it under
Smart Home Management System > Device Management (left hand menu) :)
@@MarkWattTech awesome cheers buddy great channel
This is great news. Getting an odd error when I go to scan my app saying "You cannot scan the QR code to add a device deployed in another data center." I'm sure this is some misconfiguration on my Tuya Cloud project, but I cannot figure out which.
Hey Rodney. For that error check the data center your project is registered to, and the data center the devices are on. Tuya made a change a few days back that changed how cross region development works.
You can find info on the relationship info here : developer.tuya.com/en/docs/iot/oem-app-data-center-distributed?id=Kafi0ku9l07qb
In short, make sure you are using the same data center for your project and where the devices are registered (you can check device region in the tuya/smartlife app).
Hope that helps!
you helped me a lot thank you.
I was already giving up on local integration, now the spirit is back.
Thanks for a great video. I was unable to use Tuya convert on most of my switches, this gives a good alternative. I'll try it soon.
Really thorough explanation unlike another I tried to follow unsuccessfully. I had numerous problems with the registration. Keep them coming.
Thanks David. Glad to have helped. Plenty more to come :)
Thanks so much. Great video.
In my case I had to open a ticket to the Tuya guys to switch my newly made account from Chinese Mainland to Greece.
Took 48h but it did the trick and I could eventually follow your guide.
All good and everything worked! 😃
Thanks for sharing 😁
Your comment saved me plenty of nasty words which I was going to spit on Tuya when I saw that cyber security request.
PS. I din't choose United States during sing up... I bet you did the same mistake.
Watched your video first and then a second time following your lead. Other than a few changes to the Tuya Developer page, everything went well. Had some issues with the settings a for light. Using the yaml on the Github link for reference, I set:
ID: 20, Brightness: 22, Color Temp: 23, Color Mode: 21, Color: 24, Scene: 25. Brightness values: 29/1000; Color Temps: 2700/6500 (though I'm not sure about the value and temp settings).
Next up: setting up VLANs and restricting internet access.
excellent video, describing step by step with all the required details! well done! I hope you keep up the great work :)
Thank you! Plenty more to come :)
The portal changed a lot from your video, but I managed to stumble through and fetch the local key through trial and error. Thanks for the guide man 👍
watching this a couple of years later, could eventually link devices (once i linked the correct datacenter) and then took a while sifting through options until i found the one that gave a local key - site rearranged a lot sinceyour video, but the principle still worked ! Thanks.
Brilliant channel, thanks for helping me setting up local tuya and other stuff on HA
yes got it working with help from the "help video"
Came back for adding new devices, still an awesome video.
very helpful you saved me hours of googling
Awesome, that is a great help. Had real problems trying to find my local key. Had to get around the new menus and such but found it in the end. Thanks.
Where did you find them? I didn't have to sign up for an API, which was strange until I noticed the OCT 15 popup a second viewing of the My Services. After running the debug, I don't see anything about a Local Key. Still poking around.
NVM, just found it less than 5 mins commenting here.
Once you are in the API Explorer, expand the General Devices Management, and click on Get Device Information. Enter the ID, and away you go.
I tried this and was successful . Some menus or the locations of the menus had change on the tuya website but with a little digging I found them
Thanks Mark, a clear and understandable video, even with the Tuya developer portal changing quite a lot. Tuya local now doesn’t require you to find the local_id for a device, it automatically pulls it in when you add a new device to the integration in HA.
On balance have decided to not use Tuya local and remain with the core Tuya integration. Whilst I was able to get my Tuya shed alarm system working as a ‘select’ entity (armed, disarmed, sos, etc), the UI of the Tuya core integration is better; and when I try to add my Tuya Temperature and Humidity sensors to Tuya Local, I just get an “unknown error see log” - maybe not supported even though its just numeric output. Hey ho!
Thanks, Mark. Apparently, something in the Tuya integration or server changed such that toggling a switch was no longer working. But, it works fine through Local Tuya. I would not have have had a clue how to set that up without your video.
I think they fixed it and then broke it again haha. Glad to have helped :)
Thanks for another great video. Now got Local Tuya working on my HA on Windows 10 with a smart plug, but I have lots of other Tuya devices and I don't understand two things.
1. How to set up multicolour/white bulbs?
2. How to set up wall sockets (mine have two sockets and a USB socket so there are in fact 4 options on the socket)
Many thanks in advance.
Wow, did not expect this to be such a process. One would think that simply adding the Tuya API within Home Assistant would automatically store the devices locally. I've done a very simple process to store all my Sonoff devices locally and it works amazing! Hopefully Tuya can simplify this process in the future, for now I think I'll just stick with the cloud service. My Tuya devices are the only devices working via the cloud...
Tuya are working on the v2 integration. It does have plans for local control but its not currently part of it.
It also supports way more devices :)
Hopefully they do add it in the future and its a simple process.
Whew. Looks like a lot of work. Great video. Will try the local integration soon.
Hey Bill. I have another local Tuya video dropping tomorrow.
Originally I said the dev tools method was easier, but as Tuya keep changing there API and access it's a little unreliable. Tomorrows video requires a few steps, but it will give you all the keys in one go.
Just amazing! Thank you very much!
UPDATE - April 20th 2021
It looks like a few days after this post Tuya changed the options again. You should be able to follow this guide okay. But for anyone struggling, I have created another video detailing an alternate method for extracting the keys. Cheers
UPDATE - March 25th 2021
As of today it looks like Tuya have updated the way there Dev accounts work. So it may be harder to link devices via an app. Another reason your devices are at the mercy of the cloud gods!
I WILL BE CREATING A NEW VIDEO : on another method that doesn’t require the dev account. There's a few more steps involved but it wont require the Tuya Developer account and it will give you all your keys at once. Stay tuned 👀

If your stuck or having any issues with this setup, I've also created a supporting video which goes over a couple of issues I had and the fixes. It may help you out.
Also to note, the Tuya Dev website seems a little janky at the minute! You can catch that supporting video here : ua-cam.com/video/t2S2KLtDj7I/v-deo.html
Nice Job Mark ! 1000 Thumbs up
You asked a few weeks ago if you could improve your videos in any way. This video shows that you’ve learned a lot from the feedback and improved significantly. Congratulations 👏👏👏
Thanks for this, I’ll give it a go and try following your instructions. All failures will probably be due to my inadequacies. 😉
Wicked! really appreciate the support. Still trying to find my footing but I am always open to feedback and suggestions. Trying to improve with each video.
Give it a go, and give me a shout if your stuck! I've also created a supporting video which goes over some issues so give that a check too if your stuck.
Thanks for helping us take our devices out of the butt.
Account on Tuya opened on 09/05/2021. Today is 18/05/2021 and method works!
Thanks for sharing. I think since I created the video, the feature has been removed and added a couple of times 😂. It should be working and I did create an alternate method which is a lot simpler for anyone that is struggling.
Thanks for sharing Dmitry.
Mark, I am fairly new to Home Assistant and have been using your videos as a reference. This is yet another good video. Thanks for taking the time and effort to educate me on my venture into Home Assistant.
Welcome aboard! Glad you have found the content helpful
thank you for this great video
Hi Mark, thanks so much for your very easy and simple step-by-step (and troubleshooting video) on getting Local Tuya to work. Now I am finally free of the overlords that control my Tuya GU10 bulbs as I am not able to flash them with Tasmota using TuyaConvert (firmware has the exploit fixed). I was able to get my 4 GU10 light bulbs and smart plug into HA using Local Tuya. Yay! The only thing is that my smart plug has power monitoring as well. However, when you want to set up the various additional sensors, the "IDs" that come up which I would represent the different data points and not clear as to what they mean in terms of current, voltage, etc, etc. Thankfully I don't need the power monitoring features at present, but I might need them later. All one sees is 2 (value 0), 4 (value 0), 5, 6 and 7 with no indication as to what they represent. Any ideas on where I can find this information?
Hey Glen. Glad the tutorials helped you out :)
The DP documentation is pretty loose.
Ive had to manually play around with some of my devices to figure out what they are / what they control. I did this by setting unknown dp values to just sensor entities. Then I modified the device with the Tuya/Smart Life app to see what changed (e.g setting a specific mode, toggling a set option).
There are a few basic templates on the Local Tuya GitHub though.
Cheers
@@MarkWattTech Thanks very much. I used those templates in figuring out the values for the lights, but smart plugs were not well covered at all. Good idea - I’ll create sensors and figure them out that way.
@@gverran doing it this way I have managed to get an unsupported robot vacuum into Home Assistant with Local Tuya :)
@@MarkWattTech Wow, very cool. So who knows - maybe some of these sensors could reveal hidden functionality 😂
Thank You a lot!!! All great! )
Thanks for this howto video. Been trying to do this over the weekend after seeing it on another channel but failed at every hurdle. Now seeing this I can see where I was going wrong. I'm gonna give it a another crack in the week now and see what mess I can make - lol.
Hopefully it helps :)
I have covered another method for accessing Local Tuya if your still stuck with this one. Tuya are also working on local control as part of the official Tuya v2 integration
@@MarkWattTech Yes i did hear they are now working on a local version. How local remains to be seen but keeping an open mind.
Gonna try local tuya first though as the cloud was in my room yesterday so foggy all my switches were lost 😬😂
@@seangraves3509 only time will tell 😁. I am thinking it will be a system where you still provision your devices with Tuya, but then you are able to make use of registered devices tokens to complete local controls.
I will be covering it when its finally implemented :)
Thanks a lot very very usefull
Keep on doing that kind of video
Thank you for the feedback!
good vid mate :)
This is awesome - one step closer to brining things all internal and not requiring outside cloud services! One thing I'm struggling with is the adding of the entities and all the different settings and what should go in there! May be missing something on the github page but just can't find what they should be set to!
Hey Ian. It is a little fiddly setting up the entities and is often more of a case of just trial and error. I do plan to go over adding entities in Local Tuya in a future video. What type of device are you trying to add?
One thing you can do to try and figure out what the entities are is to just set them as sensors. Then if you use the Tuya/SmartLife app to control the device and change its status (turn it on, press a button etc.) you will see that sensor change and know what it is.
Entities that's sensor state is true or false are obviously some kind of switch.
In the Local Tuya Entities video I will show how to figure entities out, and how I added an unsupported Robot Vac and an unsupported diffuser. No ETA yet though sorry. Feel free to share a post via my FB Group and I will try my best to help you out. (Link in description)
Cheers.
I initially had issues getting a light to work. (I actually ended up randomly guessing the settings and it worked!) I was able to confirm my settings by visiting the Github link and looking at the configuration.yaml example. (I did not add it to my yaml.)
Using the yaml for reference, I set - Brightness:22, Color Temp: 23, Color Mode: 21, Color: 24, Scene:25. Brightness values: 29/1000; Color Temp: 2700/6500 (though I'm not sure about the value and temp settings).
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks for sharing Derek. Yeah it can be guess work. I do plan on doing a video going through Local Tuya entities and also sharing the config/ids for settings I have used for devices I have set up.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for video. I was done today setup for Local Tuya what uses My Nedis Wifi sockets. This was possible because you made that other video also what was pointing steps to get local_keys. There was few challenges on my route but comments was helping me out
Thank you very much!
Hi Mark, Thanks for this video, really good in your way of explaining steps. But I still have a question... this way, all the devices already in Tuya cloud are then controlled locally. What if we want to add a new device : do we have to connect it in Tuya cloud and then transfer it to Tuya local or is there a way to get it connected directly to Local Tuya ? Maybe it can be covered in you new video... Thanks !
Nice video bro, tnx 👏 👏 👏
Thank you for the explaination. Very easy to follow and informative. I have a quession to ask. I have just added Tuya plug to my local Tuya but wondering how to get power consumptions in Home Assistant. Thanks
Thanks for your video, I see you from Spain. I joined to this channel to lear as all I can... thx
Hi Mark, thank you always for your great videos. I learned a lot about integrating my Tuya devices to Home Assistant. I'm now trying my luck to integrate to Local Tuya as I find the Tuya V2 slow in responding when activating switches and automations. I just have a question, do I need to install a zigbee usb coordinator when I use Local Tuya in Home Assistant? Thank you.
Great! Thx!
Brilliant video! The Tuya site has changed slightly since you posted this video, but nothing major.
Hope it helped Karl!
Yeah at the time of creating this video they where undergoing some big changes. As Local Control has seemingly been promised in the new integration I am waiting to see what comes from that before I do another Local Tuya or the advanced Local tuya setup video.
Nice !
Great video, thank you! In API Explorer "Get Device Details" changed to "Query Device Details". (Tuya IOT Platform looks a little bit different too :( , but it is not your fault)
Not sure is this was already the case at the time this video was made, but it is already possible to make some local tuya automations that work without access to internet just purely in the Tuya Smart app, from what I could gather this works specially with Zigbee devices and automations that do not require access to online elements such as the time of day. It's still limited but better than nothing.
Thanks for these fantastic videos!
I know this video is a few months old, managed to navigate through the new menus but still got the dreaded 1106 error. I've checked my DC's and all match Western America, which I assume is correct for USA. Any ideas?
Hi thanks for this, I have been having trouble with the tuya integration on homeassistant with controlling my tuya app curtain. The problem I am having after following your guide is to set up the curtain. It doesn't work when I use the cover entity. Do you have a video showing how to connect a cover entity?
Hi Mark, thanks for a great video, just some feedback, I set this up for the first time today and I was able to create all the necessary accounts and linking on the Tuya website. Just thought you would like to know that it worked for me. Cheers
Thanks Derek. The Tuya page has changed a few times (allowing and stopping accounts) a few times since I created this video. Glad it worked for you though :)
@@MarkWattTech Hi Mark, just an update on what I have discovered lately. In Australia and New Zealand one of the local stores sells their own branded TUYA devices (Arlec and Deta), these also run a rebranded TUYA app called Grid Connect. When I set up LocalTUYA I decided to set up a new Arlec device in the TUYA app instead of Grid Connect, which does work and I was able to get it connected on LocalTUYA. I then thought I would need to move my old devices from Grid Connect to TUYA, but this was not the case, I could add Grid Connect as an app in the TUYA API. Just thought that would help anybody in AU or NZ. Cheers
@@DerekWalker55 thanks Derek :) in theory anything that utilises the Tuya IOT platform, should be able to connect as they all use the same backend.
Great video Mark, but it's old enough that the Tuya screens have changed and I can find the API selections that you describe in this video, I am old and therefore slow, but also I don't give up and I will keep trying to get this to work.
Great video again and I got to the point of being able to add my RGB bulbs and have them work as white only :-( I had the same issue with the cloud Tuya integration but fixed that with an override on the customize.yaml to set the # of available functions to 63 - they are now working as expected via cloud. BUT - when I do the same with local it rejects the config as invalid.
My assumption is that it's down to my selection of "DPs" (whatever they are) when adding the bulbs. I've tried as many combinations as I can bear but I still never get the colour picker displayed at all. Sooo unless I can find a solution I will have to stick with cloud.
I did look on the tuya local GIT and found a utility which should dump all the available DPs from a device but that fails to execute because (I think) python can't load cryptography.
Kind of stymied for now...
Hello Mark,
You explained very well how to integrate devices into HomeAssistant. It all worked for me, but how do you delete a device connected via Tuya from HomeAssistant?Greetings Dieter
Clouds -> Projects is now Cloud -> Development, at least on mine here.
Hey Mark, thanks for the video. I was able to get local tuya set up, however I cannot add more than one device in the integrations section? I added a fan and was able to add both the fan and light as entities but it won't let me add an additional fan. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Another great video! I've got plugs working fine but for some reason my bulbs get added, the first worked but then keeps saying unavailable. Is this maybe me making a mistake with the Identity part and colour settings. Bit confused with the value 0, value 1 and value 0000000fg I'm assuming is colour. Thanks again
Hello, new here, great video! Thanks for the effort. Quick question... can you remove the bulbs from the tuya servers after this or do they have to stay active? What happens if a power outage occurs and my router reboots?
Thx a lot
Very Good friend / Thank you Broooooo
Always welcome 👊
Hi firdt of all thank you for all you videos that are very clear.
I have a small question: how can I add in the same way an IP cam that is only working with Tuya/Smart life ?
Many thanks
Great video mate. I just bought a tuya wired zigbee gateway hub but the devices I have all Tuya WiFi based. Can I connect them to the hub?
Hello Mark, thank you for your video.
Do you think is possible tu use local tuya together with the new integration Tuya v2?
Thanks for great video, what would a geyser switch be, will I add it as a switch even if it has power monitoring ? Thanks
You should be able to add both entities separately. On the Local Tuya Git they are working on adding some new sensors for power monitoring etc.
Hi Mark, thanks for the helpfull tutorial. Menu's and API's have changed, but i got it to work.
After the devices were setup in HA, i tried to remove them them from the Tuya smart app, to remove all connections with te cloud. Buy then the devices stopped working. So i guess you have to keep the Tuya smart app intact?
Does this mean that all commands are send locally but the state of de device will remain visible in the Tuya smart app, and so in the cloud?
Greetz
am i able to control individually my devices within my tuya hub? my devices are manually added by 433mhz radio frequency?
Thanks for a great and helpful video. Local tuya did work in first try. But now i stopped working anymore. Did Tuya do something? Or is this issue only my problem?
Thank you Matt.
To try and unclog my wifi network, I have switched to Zigbee for a lot of my smart devices. Do you know anything about Local access for Zigbee devices? (Did not seem I could add the gateway, which was the only one with an IP address but wonder if you knew of anything or alternatives please?)
I've just purchased a smart electrical heater. In the list in the integration. Is this listed. I'd on and off and it's thermostat. I don't want to go through all those steps to find out its not supported. Thanks great channel.
Thank you for this video! Is it possible to Integrate device voltage / current / power within HA? Hopefully you can help me!
Hello mate. All good now and I can see all the discovered Tuya devices on my Lan, thank you very much for your great and detailed videos. Just more question(s) please, when configuring the discovered devices, I see that there is a value for the device IP address that I have to enter in the Host box, what will happen in the case of the device getting a different IP address from my DHCP, will it fail then? and if so, do I need to reserve a fixed IP address for each device? and if I have to do so, how can I get the MAC address for each device? Thank you very much mate you have a been a great help and I can tell you that I watched 3 other guys talking about the same thing, Local Tuya, and I only managed to understand it from your videos. Have a great day
What is the difference in using local Tuya, or just pair Tuya zigbee switches directly through MQTT and Home Assistant?
i have a bunch of the tuya zigbee devices through the tuya hub do these still run through the tuya hub or a zigbee dongle and do you have a video on it
Appreciate the video. Tuya only shows one entity for a device : the device state ON/OFF . Is it possible to get other entities if attached to the device like RSSI ..??
Very nice and helpful video. I've already started the process some time ago from another youtube tutorial but yours is definitely better.
Just as an info, when i created the account I used Europe (not US) and it was made after the date you mentioned (April 11th) and the get device info and everything else required along the way worked just fine. I now have the local key and everything required. Maybe this info helps someone ...
Hey :) thanks for the feedback.
Since creating this video Tuya have changed the Api and Dev tools etc multiple times. This guide should work okay, but can change again based on Tuya.
Hey, Thanks a lot for the video,
I have a question about the API,
In local Tuya' can I make REST API calls?
(to local machine)
Great job on the videos. Can you do a video on how to integrate TTLock app to controll door lock like Hornbill etc.?
Hi, does all devices added via tuya zigbee hub also work?
Great tutorial. With your help I set up 3 devices in Local Tuya successfully. Question I have: 2 of the devices are Smart Life bulbs. In HA they don't have the ability to dim, just on or off. Where if possible can I change things to allow brightness to be controllable?
Hi rich the brightness can’t set as the product just has 3 Leds only
Very useful video. Just installed release v4. Any chance you can feature in your next video how to install Tuya Zigbee/BLE.
Thanks for another great video Mark.
I did all the steps that you have mentioned but for some reason my local tuya doesn't recognize any of my devices while the regular Tuya is recognize all of them.
Can you help here?
Thanks
Hi Mark
I set up the IOT account following the steps for the home assistant tuya cloud integration then added Local tuya.
I've got a 3rd party device that uses Tuya as its back end (Kids colour changing clock) When added to the tuya integration It has no entities.
Do you know if there is any way to find out the entities to add it to the local tuya integration?
Hi Mark, thanks for the video, its very easy to follow and understand, a silly question, once I have successfully added the device into local Tuya in home assistant, does that mean that I no longer need to have the hardware/sensor/switch enroll in Tuya as it will run locally?
Heya. Its a little confusing as it's a hybrid (as you need cloud connection to get local keys). If you block the devices connection on your network fully, it will work locally. But if it falls of the network or loses connection, you will need to set it up again fully (full add via Tuya etc).
If you do remove it from Tuya, make sure it is first fully blocked from external access.
Thanks very much for this! It has changed a fair bit since this was made, but with this, a bit of trial and error, and the important comment by @Stephan Jones (which needs pinning) I managed to get all 16 of my Smart Life plugs' local keys and they all now work fine with LocalTuya.
@AndyS where did you find the info?
soooo nice !!! after the integrtation in Local Tuya, extracted all the key, can we delete le tuya cloud account .?
While we do control the tuya device locally, the tuya device is theoratically still connected to the internet right, and using the smart life/tuya app would allow us to turn on the device outside of our local network. Any way to make a tuya device completely local?
Thank you for this useful video! Any way you can setup a dimmer switch on local tuya? Got it setup as an ordinary toggle switch, not sure what I missed to enable change in brightness
Im releasing a video (hopefully tomorrow) on the New Tuya integration. This new integration is being created by Tuya developers with assistance from HA and they plan on supporting more devices and Local Control! (Eventually).
Feel free to check out my facebook group and share a post about the dimmer switch. Myself and others can then try and further assist :)
@@MarkWattTech thanks pal! appreciate the prompt response! keep up the good work
Thanks for the detailed instruction I managed to add the Tuya based curtain motor but HomeAssistant can not control no response. Device went off line in Tuya interface too. Do you have any recommendations.
Hey Emre. I have just picked up a Tuya curtain device. When I get a second I will set it up and give it a go. Give me a nudge if you don’t hear from me (I might forget 😋)

hi mark, just found this. im totally new with ha and all my stuff is tuya. unfortuately im at thelast bit but itsays "Connection to device succeeded but no datapoints found, please try again. Create a new issue and include debug logs if problem persists" any thoughts?
Hi there. Another great video, very helpful as i am brand new to HA. One quick question, Once you have put the smart device (switch etc) on your local Tuya, is it totally off the Tuya cloud or is it on both instances to use ?
TIA
Once you put it in local tuya it is kind of in a hybrid state. You can communicate locally with it, but the cloud connection is needed to get the local key. You will also need to block the network access for the device.
I would recommend only using one integration as they can make each other go out of sync and mess with your automations.
Both instances can control the devices.
thank a lot
No worries :)
Matt I installed the integration per your video and everything went smoothly except that I don't see any of my devices in the integration. The integration is blank except fo the box symbol and cloud symbol the in the upper right corner of the integration.
I am planning to move all my Smart Life device to Local Tuya but can the Smart Life IR blaster be moved to Local Tuya?
Can we add a switch that can be set to on after a power failure?
Mark, how can I use Cloud APIs with Local Tuya? Just to clarify, the endpoint in the URL will be the local IP address of the device with the right headers etc in Postman for testing.
Well - it seems you still have a dependency on the cloud here? Last time I checked out Tuya I got bad flashbacks to ifttt and lock-in fever and your jumps through hoops and it seems the cloud control option, or cloud trust option to be honest, that you talk about here is still an issue as this cloud solution has full access to your devices. But I appreciate seeing how you setup devices to at least keep working if your internet is out ....
Does loca tuya work with tuya or smart life app?
i created a tuya IoT account in 2023.
i could locate my key via tuya under 'device management' then 'query device details'. entered device ID and it returned in the json response perfectly.
How to make pull-requests from the devices?
I have a Tuya Smart-Meter-Plug, the switch works well but the sensors (current, voltage, power) don't update often (only around once an hour). Only when I have the TuyaApp open on my smartphone it updates frequently (like all 5 seconds).
Is there a way to make HomeAssistant pull the sensor values like e.g. all 30 seconds?
Hi Mark if you add it to local tuya do you still be able to control it from the app when is not at home ?
Do you have any video upgrading sonoff devices with tuya app (firmware)... My ideia was to get some of my tuya devices and extract firmware and than flash in the sonoff devices)
I just not found easy way to doing it and also maybe some devices firmware not go to be compatible I pressume?
would be possible put tuya app on the Smart Scene Wall Switch Sonoff NSPanel ?
thank you
maby you should blur out your email in the intergration page small detail but thanks for the video got it working thank you
Cheers. In some of my videos I play around with some blurring tools and effects. Still just experimenting and playing around.
Anything I have shown or not covered etc was just missed when playing around, but isn’t sensitive info etc. I would like to think I am more careful than that 😋. But thank you for the heads up.
