Want to know what Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East really think about the conflict? Ask a question and I will get answers.
i love the videos with this rabbi. He seems like a great person to have endless fascinating conversation with.
I've had the opportunity and zchus to spend the better part of a year attending his shiurim and asking him questions. He is fantastic
His name is Rabbi Breitowitz.
He has a great podcast called Q&A with R'Breitowitz.
I think he is brilliant and humble. I listen to another rabbi who I will not name and that one always rubs me the wrong way as he seems arrogant and superior, turns me off. I wish I could study with Rabbi B!
YES
True, he comes across as a humble, cheerful, and open minded man of faith
Such a delightful way to learn about others. This world needs more conversations and willingness to understand others like this.
The rabbi just so humble and interesting
The thideburnths are tho intheresthting. Mazel Tov!
Best conversations I have heard on this channel so far
This rabbi is so great!! Would love a playlist on your channel of just his responses. Amazing content, thank you.
i love rabbi breitowitz i had the honor of studying under him a cpl of years ago very educated dedicated man
What an interesting, charismatic man.
Yes, many Jews can learn a lot from him.
This guy speaks so smart he is so thoughtful i as a jew can say he knows what he is talking about
TehHampsterHead what war ?
He seems like a great Grandpa whose lap you sit on, & he tells fun stories, sings Hebrew songs, & teaches the necessary lessons of life. Shalom!.
Let the Rabbi explain Jewish law. Why do so many people commenting think they know better than him? Jewish people are allowed to explain Jewish law without outsiders insisting they're wrong.
Do people tell Muslims they are wrong about Islam?
Do people tell christians what christianity teaches?
Why the double standard? Let the Jews be free to explain and practice their own religion.
they do look at debates people telling musilms about there religion or christians about theres
@@talajew3529 Yes! "Do people tell Muslims they are wrong about Islam?" LOL GTFO is that a joke?
Holy hell, that is some good shit.
"Do people tell Muslims they are wrong about Islam?" Yes, they do
"Do people tell christians what christianity teaches?" Yes, they do
If you see something is wrong you need to point it out especially if it hurts kids, women, minorities or discriminated against others. Now if elements that come with this wrong ideology also contradicts with science and history, it will be stupid not to point out its absurdities.
Very respectful, clever and wise man...
I like listening to this man. It would be great to have a conversation with him.
Wonderful explanation, thank you
When your hands are permanently stained with the ink of the many books you have read.
Any other Christians here who love listening to him?
Can someone please tell me in what part of the Torah is it mentioned to not cut or shave the side burns/curls ? Thank you in advance
leviticus 19:27
So in essence they are antennas that are curled to improve the magnetic field and reception with god...........got it
He is a very learned and great person on earth. God love this old man. Love from India
I can listen to this man all day, he so nice and interesting.
He's a genius - went to Harvard Law School
He entrusting more love sex
I haven't watch the video just a small portion however this Rabbi is really articulate and has a great vocabulary, looks can be deceiving!
Very true
Or maybe the problem is you judging by looks
He is a wise and friendly man...thanks for posting....I wish that I had a community I could identity with...I have never lived in my own country and I am not religious although technically I am protestant on census forms...I live in Switzerland but am an American national...so I have always been a foreigner. I am of of Swedish and English extraction but I don't really care about who my ancestors were in terms of my sense of belonging...I feel like an international citizen, and speak 3 langues and have lived and studied in three different countries and languages. It must be a warm and reassuring feeling to be part of a group, clan or community with shared values, goals an ways of living. Very interesting about the blue and white on the Israeli flag (there being more white than blue and if I understand him correctly this symbolizes that there are many things still to strive for) I wonder what this rabbi things about the plight of the Palestinians for all men, women and children dererve to be treated with dignity and respect...i hope that a peaceful solution will be found that allows all to live in harmony.
This gentleman is very well read but not at all egoistic . Many people who don't know half of what he does , are filled with ego and arrogance .
Thank you Corey.
What a pleasant, well spoken man.... thank you for the explanations. Fascinating how many people int he comments has the same basic impression.... I believe this is the 'glow' projected by a person who is truly in the good grace of God.
Sikhs in Punjab region and in other parts of world also have uncut hair on their head.. I think rabbi explains very correctly and rationally that hairs connect person spiritual to one creator (God)... Thanks for valuable information.. ❤
Love this man, he makes a great rabbi.
This gentleman is incredibly wise
God bless him
It sounds quite similar to the reasoning of the Nazirite. That the hairs are an antenna or conductor of Spiritual Energy.
Native Americans believe that same thing, the long hair is a connection to the spirit.
Reality is its just to keep you warm.
@@3monsters014 damn in middle east you don't need it ,it's warm enough
I personally find the payots quite weird . They look like little girls' ponytails and very unmanly .
I think they look weird too, but apparently they have a special spiritual meaning.
Not just weird ,it's genuinely ugly to me ha ha
The Jews in Yemen also had Payes.
Ofra Haza included :)
Joshua D Yemenite Jews are alive and well, and thriving, in Israel. The heritage is kept with many in the younger generations. Same for all backgrounds / expressions of Jewish culture. But for some more than others, especially Yemenites.
lol right
There is still a small segment of Yeminite Israelites who live in Yemen.
No we never called them payes but simonim, ,,,it was decreed by the kings of yemen to more easily distinguish between Jews and Muslims
Man I love listening to that guy
he is so sweet.
He seems really nice and is very interesting
The colour blue is fairly new because it could not be found in natural pigments. Therefore the colour was blue was often decribed as green in old books. When was the blue thread thingy introduced?
The blue WAS indeed derived from nature as it was obtained from a specific type of snail. They didn't have artificial dyes back then. Blue pigment is found in flowers too and in the feathers of many birds.
@@Lagolop I thought that was purple
You must have just heard this and now attach it to everything. The blue thread thing was there from inception essentially. Because blue dye was used in the year 2500B.C
Corey Do you read my tip if I send it via UA-cam?
No.

A Promised Ruler From Bethlehem
Micah 5:2
2“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from Ancient Times.”
Interesting
I don't think I have ever seen an old Jewish man with curled Payos. I have only seen young and middle aged men with them. Why? or am I mistaken?
This rabbi is awesome!
Wow’ I liked that..
He like sex more
Well explained. The blue dye came from the Chalazon fish, that is not identifiable.
How many fish (native to the Mediterranean Sea) can there be that are capable of producing a blue dye?
Realyisraeli Thanks. Yes . Correct. I now remember
+Realyisraeli +nevskixx
So how many Levantine snails can make a blue dye?
BTW - I thought the instruction was abandoned in antiquity because the dye was very expensive and few people could actually afford it.
Well said, Rabbi!
I like the embolism of the blue thread.. I was not raised in a Jewish faith, I have a passover "Seder" for the sacrifices... very beautiful..
If the Torah commands us to also have a blue string, why in the world leave it out? Without it, it’s truly not tzit tzit, but merely a collection of white threads.
Sounds like the Talmud (men) are above God
I wish Europeans would follow the Ashkenazi and study Hesoid and the Eddas the same way as they do the Torah. We have much to learn!
This guy was good.
The peyos has to do with leaving the crops in the corners of your fields ... for the poor. I've never heard of any wire business!
1:46 "It's hard to explain it rationally!" #religion
To explain Rationality for the majority of us who are programmed to rationalize today's media and self indulges not spiritual part of the world.
Not all religious Jews have payot--the Lubavitchers don't have them, for example. Neither do the modern Orthodox, and even the non-Hasidic "black hat" Orthodox.
Can you please ask this wonderful rabbi about the Jewish believe in afterlife, heavens, hell and Satan?
Jews don’t believe in Satan and hell, but they do believe in heaven and the afterlife
@@ShikaStyle123 If Jews don't believe in hell, then what is gehenna or sheol? Aren't those something like hell?
@@ShikaStyle123 Also if Judaism does believe in the existence of angels, which I know it does, wouldn't it also believe in the existence of demonic spirits?
@@margaritakleinman5701good question. I had to google that and here is what I found: "All souls go according to the Bible to the Sheol, without distinction because in the Bible there is no mention of heaven or hell as the place of the righteous or sinners."
@@margaritakleinman5701 and regarding demons: "The Bible rarely mentions the existence of supernatural beings at all, but while there are a number of mentions of angels and various types of magic, demons are not mentioned at all."
Please ask both religious Jews and secular Jews if they would like to see the Sanhedrin revived in Israel.
Never
Now the guy who is interviewing says if possible to donate a dollar so he can continue his questions to people in Iand around Israel and Palestine??? There is NO Palestine -only Israel. Once he understands and agree this, then we may consider a dollar.
He’s talking about Gaza and the West Bank bro, I’m pro Israel but you still gotta consider that
The origin of payot long side burns is from the Bedouin Hebrew Arabs growing two braids out of their blue striped scarf
That is utter bullshit because there is no such thing as a "bedouin hebrew arab", lol. And the peyos has to do with symbolizing charity. The Jews left the crops in the corners of their field for the poor to eat.
Love this channel! In the process of conversion (reform). Visiting Jerusalem and Haifa next month!
Welcome aboard!!! LOL.
Keep it on hold if you can't do traditional orthodox.
Contact the rabbi in the video I think he's the real deal.
Jesus Christ is the closest Rabbi you can get. Open Isaiah 53!
Reform doesn’t count
HUMBLE REQUEST TO COREY GIL SHUSTER
Why don't you conduct similar interviews employing Jewish/Palestinian centric topics to question non -Jewish attitudes towards Judaism, Israel, Palestine and Jews in different parts of the world ?
I am sure the answers will be interesting to hear and will take the entire subject to the grassroot level involving the opinions of common people on the streets.
The program should fare very well.
Thanks in advance.
Shalom.
Yakov Isaacs give him some more parnasa
Can You One About These Jews Lineage & Ancestors Homeland
I'm thinking prophet Samson had Payot's due to the Nazarite vow and when Delilah found out his weakness and cut off his Payot's he lost he strength and connection with God 😃 just a theory
Listening to this man explaining the origins of the side curls you realize that there are silly rules in every religion.
The peyos has to do with symbolizing charity. The Jewish people also left the crops in the corners of their field for the poor to eat.
@@Lagolopbruh
Here's a question that is basically a non-issue but still: why do some European-descent Jews (MC Serch, Howie Mandel, etc) have natural hair that's almost like that of a black person? a "Jewfro" some of them call it.
I can't say for certain but I can give you my best guess, being someone who also has a "Jewfro".
Judaism encourages marriage within the religion, and many would try to discourage people who want to marry outside of the religion. This is less the case now, but it certainly used to be that way.
I think this would lead to some things being exaggerated, due to the smaller gene pool. This could be seen with curly hair, and also with genetic diseases that are more prominent amongst Jews, for example Tay-Sachs disease.
Rabbi breitowitz is very smart.
The ignorance of religion corrupts everything.
Because it is one of Moses laws. "You shalt not cut of the hair at the sides of your head." Leviticus 19:27.
But making it curly and letting it grow long that's different kind of traditions.
Basia B yes they not telling us the real meaning of it . It represent a serpent, they the serpent people
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 12:2
2 Surely God is my YESHUA I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense he has become my YESHUA”
What translation is that? This is the KJV 27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
That’s they style
Corey you should ask Israelis if Dio is God.
+ellenfrancis67 Ronnie James Dio.
Because pigtails aren't kosher.
So they follow men's rules but when God says add blue - meh not going to do it
hey why Jewish people grow their side curls some busy explain me
I think the curls and their clothes are cool
the right their haircut just like this rabbi...no payos
Ask Him About True Israelites
Nothing against them ,but omg it looks ugly as hell
The Law is contrary to us. It cannot take away sin. The very fact that you have to "try" to be good proves you aren't! If there was a law that could give righteousness, verily righteousness would have been by the law. But Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and ended up being crucified, buried and raised up as the ultimate sacrifice for sin; first for Israel and the Kingdom of God, to fulfill the promises to the fathers. But since Israel rejected Jesus as Messiah, He put the kingdom on hold and began saving ALL by grace through faith WITHOUT the law of Moses! The law of Moses cannot save anyone today because Israel rejected Whom Moses wrote about!
Jesús came to FULLFILL the law ,it all matters still and we have to work on our Salvation a lot
@@SRBOMBONICA86 then it's not of grace, and you're still under the law. no flesh shall be justified by the law...
Ask this rabbi his thoughts on karaite customs (i.e. blue tzizit, no tefilin, no mezuza etc)
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,and by his wounds we are healed.
1:46 There is nothing rational about any religion.
Jesus Christ defeated satan on the cross. We have the victory in him, salvation by grace through faith. Galations 3:29 😊

Whatever it is, if the Jewish tradition and the Kabbalah merge, it immediately goes to idolatry.....
It's a shame!
In what way is Kabbalah idolatry?
@@margaritakleinman5701 //The first problem with Kabbalah is to conceptualize God, to make it objectified. What is the materialized god? Isn't that an idol?
Moreover, by conceptualizing God, he holds the infinity of God within the human conception. This is a challenge to the omnipresent God.
Second, the God of Israel never allowed himself to be an image of the nation of Israel. However, as the image of the god who summoned him from Egypt for themselves under Mount Sinai was made into a golden image of a bull, this time he drew the concept of God in a strange form. Is it idolatry or what?
The way the Jews tried to rationalize the Kabbalah and the Sephiroth tree was the same as the way the Roman Catholics introduced pagan rituals into their churches. That is, it is tradition. It is very doubtful how old the tradition is, but...
Excuse please, turkish?

what about all the other gods before their first book? Were they a bunch of lies? Their guy is for real though right? Keep growing that hair bruh. Thank the egyptians for your boys up at the top eh.
Was an informative clip until the begging for money started ..
Yes ridiculous, both...and the curls also...
He explains very well. My question is: so the peyos us purely symbolic? To show that you're connecting your wisdom with your body.
Ask the Israelis what they think about the demolition of the Khan al-Ahmar village.
Wrong answer by that guy the right answer is because GOD SAID SO. And he did not say why he just said so!
Funny how that guy thinks he knows why cause that guy is not god how would he or anyone other than jesus know?
He looks like he should be walkin the streets of the old country, ie Warsaw, Poland.
that is exactly what he is doing walking on his ancient fathers land
He was wearing a modern black suit you moron, like they do in any modern country today. It is not a Kapot like they wore in 1700s Europe.
I listen to a few of these beard things they’re all different made up some of them of course mostly I think when I say I’m grown beards Judy you’re not clean I know GOD likes clean he does and he said he’ll be 10 feet long not trying to be disrespectful the side burner thing I heard explain I can see that want to do things to please God and know that
But most of them are bald
How can side hair be a connector.....for spirituality when hair it self is not living is dead cell .
Yep,the only portion of living hair is found in the follicle, so what he said is nonsense
The rabbi does not talk about spiritual connection through living or dead cells! But through deeds, the act of keeping the commandments of God is the spiritual connection.
I'm an Ashkenazi Jew and I have never heard that. I was told the peyos has to do with symbolizing charity. The ancient Jews left the crops in the corners of their field for the poor to eat.
@@Lagolop Ah, so it's about eating hair.
God Bless Israel!!

Isaiah 12:2
2 Surely God is my YESHUA I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense he has become my YESHUA”
Who is the messiah ?
Proverbs 30:4
4Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed.
God I love that Rabbi.
The commandment is to NOT shave your head as was the custom in Mitzrayim. Not just the temples!!!
I looked for this because I think payot looks so ridiculous
So all people that shave their sideburns are gonna go to hell?
Judaism doesn’t believe in hell in that way. It’s not as punitive of a religion
Definately not! This is the empowerment of a mitzvah, not an obligation in fact. The people who raise do so out of a desire to keep a mitzvah in the best possible way
Isaiah 12:2
2 Surely God is my YESHUA I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense he has become my YESHUA”
Same reason rastafarians grow dreadlocks
Rastafarian have stuck on woolen hair and never wash hair out of laziness and they just smoke weed all day. So they are not religious in any way.
How unfortunate that most juus are not humble maybe they should listen to you old man
Muslim men are not allowed to cut short sides of hair so hair is not uneven, not like fashion trends today.
We do not go by Imam or scholars i.e rabbis opinions, we have to reference is back to Quran and hadith sayings of Prophets (unbroken chain of narrators whose names, death, place of buriel, to character and memory has been categorised and recorded for validity). If a scholar or imam added an obligation it would be categorised as Biddah innovation, creating or adding a lie to the religion. Which is major sin and punishable by Allah SWT.
I noticed Islam is more Prophet focused while Judaism is more Rabbi focused as I never hear them literally reciting Torah or Prophets statement when giving religious verdict.
That's not true at all,you are misguided like all Muslims ,you are a young religion that desperately tries to be more relevant ,it's not working ,like a younger brother trying to be better than the older one
This is actually wrong my man I can bring you the precise verse from the Torah that talk about the payot
