Looks great! I didn't know about the safety pin and frankly I can't use em because my tips are very loose and they will unravel if I mess with them too much. But I was so excited about my locs and interlocking and now I have 3 different types of tools. Also I wash my hair with shampoo maybe every 3 months or so and that works for me. And I wash with water whenever I feel like it. I interlock when I see about 1,5-2 cm of growth because waiting too long turns my hair into free-form and I'm not ready for that (yet). I have accidentally combined a couple of locs because of the tangles and interlocking too fast. I have about 220 locs😂
I feel you! in the beginning, I used the nappy loc tool I think its called because there was no way a safety pin would work for my locs since the ends were soooo loose. But now, they have all but matured and the safety pin is just so easy and convenient.
I think since you interlock upwards instead of pulling in downwards the loc lifts when you have new growth. Just a theory cause I’m very new to this 😂 I just started my locs 2 weeks ago with two strand twists, and interlocked my roots a couple days ago. But I noticed that if I pull the loc upward instead of down, it doesn’t lay as flat if that makes sense 😂 Love your locs!! New sub!

I’ve noticed several of them in several videos and I LOVE your style. 2) please do a makeup tutorial. G U R L You just made my day 😂😂 (1) I think you're the second person to comment on my earrings this week! So, for earrings, I get them from H&M or Zara and before it was from F21. BUT I have stopped as they tend to add rust and turn green then I have to throw them away. So I am trying to find new shops and Shein has proven to be good so far (let's wait a year and see if they haven't rusted..). The earrings from the Loc Count is from Shein. The ones from my Hair Color Story is actually from a random shop in Shanghai that I popped into when I was living there last year. And the one from this video is a present from my bestie bcos she knows I love earrings lol. (2) You're commenter #500 to request this! I am working on some, but since I don't really do "UA-cam-esque" makeup, idk if my simple makeup tut will cut it for y'all 👀 (3) 😭😭😭 You got me down to the T. I use Lancome Tresor In Love. It's magnificent! And the bottle comes with a cute lil rose bow. But I also use a body oil that I make myself and I add Tea Tree Oil into it, so the fragrance from the Tea Tree Oil also works great for me. (4) Almost always my lip products are from Kiko Cosmetics. It's cheap, their packaging is sleek, and their quality is on point. Most of my liquid lipsticks come from their Instant Color Matte Liquid Lipstick line. I have 02, 06, 11, and another one that is super dark brown but the number has faded off the label lol. I also have their 3D Hydra Lipgloss in 20 and it's the perfect nude when layered with the liquid lipstick in 02! I always use vaseline before applying any of these products too. Hope that helps!!

Pls my locs were very big in size when i started but for some time now i have realised it has reduced in size as it is maturing, is it normal or there is something am not doing right
depending on how you start your locs, locs compact as they form if they were started with 2 strand twists or comb coils. If they were started with interlocking or braids, they will swell

When your hair grows out after four months. ...do you do a 4 point rotation with the new growth? Or do you continue doing the 2 point?
I just continue with the 2 point. I've been doing that since the beginning of the year and haven't seen any negative changes
