If I was looking for a small seven-seater to carry the family I would pick out of the three - the Toyota Sienta. The Toyota Sienta has good looks, a spacious interior, a comfy ride and good value for the money.
Love seeing all the crews enjoying the moment 😁😁 I owned brv since a year ago, believe me, it is really worth for ur money. Been commuting near 100km everyday for work. They didnt drove the sienta to it full potential. Try to use the 7gear shiftronic. It will have a major advantage to go uphill or downhill on the winding road.
Great video Paultan. Very good informations and detailed. And very entertaining as well. The 3 main casts and the backcrews are a character. I mean the backcrews are cool. They should be featured more. Overall great show.
Thats why i chose Aruz. For Loading Goods and heavyduty. Perfect for bussiness. Easy to carry my parang/sword and hantar makanan (cake & cathering). Im live in Sabah, so need a vehicle that got high ground clearance.
I liked these Ali, Muthi and Ah Chong team; rojak flavor, Manglish and funny. I quite like Honda and I rode as passenger only. For Perodua, I have never liked the handling when I drove the new Myvi, felt like driving a toy car. For Sienta it has that house on the road feel. Great job guys!

If not just stick to a Myvi or Honda Jazz which is way cheaper and better..It have more power and handles better which is crucial.N ot to mention the 3rd row is more usable than Aruz. Aruz is too slow. 16 seconds to reach 100km/h? 3500rpm at 110km/h? . How long before that grates on you driving it for long year ferrying your family around? The noisy cabin of the BRV that Hafriz seems to hate can easily be mitigated by adding soundproofing but you cannot change the driving dynamic and power output of a car as long at you own it short of spending ten of thousand of ringgit modding it..
@@yangerek78 Just spend a bit do soundproofing outside lah.Not that expensive.Besides, NVH is subjective according people's ear. But slow Myvi engine inside a 1.3 ton behemoth is not fit for the purpose.
misixray depends on how much you wan to protect your family members. All these r rekcon non performing car all of them r abang adik and more for family use. Due to this i opt for aruz due to d 6 airbags n safety feature it has. Throwing all these comparison, Considering fc it is considered good fc taking 7 ppl in a suv form
not just 1 litre Viva or Axia, what bout 850 cc or 660 cc Viva oso can naik genting with 4 adult.... bole la naik tpi slow la.... anyway the Aruz is RWD compared than others FWD, actually RWD is better in grip, traction on the road with loads
Let me share you my experience of owning honda BRV for 2 years now: - It’s definitely got enough power & torque to ferry 7 adult passengers adequately - my passengers rarely complain about the 3rd row seats’ comfortability especially for long distance drive - although it’s kinda loud when cruising at 110km/h or more, that is an unfortunate flaw for almost ALL honda cars. Can be rectfied by adding additional soundproofing materials although that may add more weight to the car - it’s a family car so SUVs/MPVs are meant to be driven in a speed range of 90-100km/h only at normal roads. You are not driving a Felali or Meceli carrying your wife and kids rushing to destinations dangerously - i understand BRV’s 1500cc engine capability so i drove accordingly - average FC on 50% city 50 % highway: 14km/l, 100% highway: 16km/l and 100% city: 13 km/l (based on Fuelly app). So in conclusion, Honda > all
Watch back this. Sienta 2nd row can be adjusted, to the front, more than the other 2. Hence 3rd row has the most space among all 3. As a family car/mpv/suv, sienta is best in comfort and handling less body roll. City driving, sienta has the best fuel consumption also (tested with aruz). Sliding doors are the things that can't be modified, other 2 have no chance to compete with it. So whoever enjoy traveling very far, BRV the best. Who only need a perfect car to commute from a to b, sienta the best. Whoever follow trend wan a suv, aruz best. Me family man, wife drives it most of the time, I chose Sienta. Btw, 7yo can stand straight inside to change their clothes in Sienta, another 2 no way!
YAY... new season of Driven! Great review guys and awesome to see the fun crew finally. In regards to these three 7-seaters, I thought you guys were going to give it to the BRV because it scored highly for seating 7 people. My choice would have been the BRV cos the loud sounds can be mitigated externally. How I wish there was a better option for Malaysians for 7-seaters at this price range. Perhaps the new Livina? LOL!
3rd row sienta is the winner but the video said otherwise. It the full thigh support and space below 2nd row that is important for comfort and its best among the three instead
From this review, Aruz not the best in driving experience, not the best in fuel efficiency, not the best in nvh, not the best in practicality. Yet you guys take it as the winner - base on being the cheapest, with the most airbags and handling like a Kembara/pickup truck?
After testing both aruz and BRV. My family decided to go with BRV. The Aruz looks win points in my heart but the deciding factor is the rear seats space and comparative easiness to get in compared to the Aruz. After watching the video, I agree with the decision made but the BRV pros much more suited for my family
My sienta is already 4 years old, and i love it! Its only that the clearance is quite low and if you hv 7 persons on board better watch out for speed humps🤣 but overall worth buying!
Sienta is different and cannot be compared to aruz and brv, the presenters already mentioned this at the beginning, its only because they had no other comparable models. Aruz and brv are SUVs while Sienta is an MPV. Sienta problem is that it is very expensive due to taxation issue
The most important thing is to check your own pocket and decide which one u can afford.. dont demand for high performance car end up u recieved call from bank to chase for overdue payment..
My family has 1st & 2nd gen Myvi, and a BRV. For BRV, i like the size, feel like 7 seater Myvi. So big, even me 174cm can sit in the 3rd row. Big windows. Lot of torque for 1.5cc. Better steering feel, less body roll, comfier suspension than myvi. The downside are the 2nd & 3rd row seat makes my butt cramp for long journey. The engine/cvt roaring all the time, get worse when flooring. Even with big steering wheel, I can't see the full view of the speedometer. A pillar was too thick, blocking my sight when I want to exit any corner. I hate the rear exterior design. It's a 7 seater but only 2 airbags?
does it really drive like a boat? For me I feel like the body roll is not that bad... but I only drove Innova, Wira and Waja before so I can't really tell...
I know this is a bit odd but i see you guys filming while refuelling the car at petrol station. Isnt it dangerous to do that just like our KBS did same thing as well?
sienta is the most expensive.. last time they did come with 2 spec V spec and G spec and price increase because of new SST 2.0 kick in.. last time it price around rm97k, now its rm101k for full spec.. 7 speed virtual ratio should give an advantage compare none of it like BRV CVT gbx.. and mentioning 3rd row seat only for kids in sienta is kinda wrong man.. there's a space under the 2nd row to put your feet, while the other 2 SUV dont have where you can see Matthew leg cramp up..
You are greatly mistaken about the concept of CVT if you're talking about 7 speed ratio. The greatest strength of any CVT gearbox is the ability to maintain peak torque/horse power at any vehicle speed as you can keep the engine RPM constant. If you are using the 7 speed ratio means you are revving the engine up and down which is not the way to fully make use of the CVT .
@@fleurdewin7958 well, there's a reason why 7 speed ratio useful here especially when going downhill, you need to slow down the vehicle not only using brake, engine braking also can be use.. and this is where its useful, the different gear selection can be use depend on what speed your car, if slower means can use lower gear, if you wanna go faster a bit while downhill so just up shift the gear.. eventho its just a virtual ratio, still you can make it fix at one ratio to maintain your car speed during downhill or uphill.. if normal CVT with no selection but have L gear, you can only use at one fix gear ratio during uphill or downhill..
BR-V is loud? You guys have a much more refined preference in NVH department, no wonder Honda didn't sell the Mobilio there. If you feel that the BR-V is loud, the Mobilio probably would give you tinnitus. The biggest difference between the BR-V and Mobilio is the major update of sound proofing materials. I don't know how much it improves the sound dampening on the BR-V, but it really is loud inside Mobilio on highway cruise speed. I'd probably buy the BR-V sometimes when my old Freed gave up, but no rush (that's a zinger to Toyota). BTW, expect a refresh/minor model change for the BR-V soon. There's some hard incentives for the car in Indonesia, usually means they are trying to clear up inventory to make way for new model.
I think the real competitor for aruz will be alza in the real world.. I mean if I'm looking for a family transport I would definitely consider aruz.. but then I need to justify myself why I should buy aruz instead of alza.. because both 1.5cc, 7 seaters, almost same power and torque.. alza looks better in proportion, cheaper, lower ground clearance, more comfortable and got entertainment units for advance. Meanwhile, aruz is newer (but engine and transmission are old), better 3rd row seat, and a lot better safety, new and fresh cabin. However, it's not an easy choice to choose aruz over alza, as I need to pay more but I was cut with a less comfortable, and the same engine and transmission.. something to really ponder
Aizat Zain cant coz alza is a disaqualified 7 seaters due to rear aircon blower unavailability. Driven is smart to avoid that intentionally. Good job driven
@@choondoichai for me, even though alza did not has rear aircon blower, but not enough to disqualify it as one of 7 seaters mpv. It's just not a complete package of seven-seater MPV. In fact, alza is one of the best-selling mpv in malaysia. That's a fact too. Even for a professional reviewer like RODA PUSING did compare between Alza, Exora and Nissan Livina. My concern is more on the possibility did not differentiate their model so well, the same mistake that previously proton did across their models. I think more people will enjoy if ARUZ comes with a bigger engine, and more comfortable frame. That would give enough reason for people to shift to ARUZ than ALZA
Eventhough BRV a bit expensive, but still has a name HONDA. And check maintenance cost for both. Recently paultan said BRV maintenance is cheaper for long term.
Been driving sienta almost 2 years.. I found that it is very comfortable.... Actually spacious enough... I did not agree by saying the third row is for kids.. If u did not adjust the middle sit.. It would be small but yet still have space for u to put your fit under the middle sit.. Quite comfortable... Yes... It is true it is underpower due to the weight of the car... But the most stable to drive with or without load... Brv i found it smaller than Sienta just it is lonher than sienta... I drove it n i found it is quite small and cramp not as spacious as sienta.. By far, sienta still the best.. Aruz i need to drive longer or more than once.. Coz i found that it is almost the same like the advanza a bit...
A middle seat headrest for the middle row seats in the Aruz could help aid in terms of comfort for the passenger that would be seated there... Each seats should be fitted with its own headrest...
Aruz middle seat vs BRV and Sienta is not for adult..You have this big hump because of the transmission shaft and middle passenger cannot put their feet.BRV and Sienta have relatively flat second row floor
dude why your figure for aruz here is different than in carbase.my? for example, in carbase, aruz has 104hp and 136Nm but has lesser numbers here..dafuq??? sienta and brv is the same tho..
I think you guys should look at the price before tax first, it is more expensive in honda and sienna because it is more taxed as made in indonesia or japan and etc ....take away all the tax first, compare apple and apple..
For compact 7 seater like this, I don't expect alot of people will do alot of extra long journey full loaded with 7 people simply because you do not have space for luggage. If just ocassinally fetch full load of people to makan or something, I think the nvh shouldnt be placed at the same weightage as power, interior space. Although perodua seems like has the best value, I simply don't appreciate their effort to rebadge Toyota rush n just stuff in all gadgets due to lower tax structure. Perodua, you got to do better than this with tons of money you earn from the rakyat and start to do something better than rebadging and playing the value proposition card.
Geforce i rekcon it is asshole n rushbish statement when you commented ur appreciation on d rebadge unless that’s ur father’s company else jus b consumer n enjoy d channel effort that brings us such value
@@choondoichai Seems like someone is butt-hurt by my comment. In what sense my comment are rubbish and asshole? So you mean by plugging in a exactly same 1.5L engine with 4 speeder that has been used since 1st gen Myvi in 7 seater SUV wannabe (it is a MPV actually) is actually a very brilliant engineering marvel designed by Perodua? Will you buy Aruz if it is priced similarly with the competitors? Learn to live with the naysayer. Happy driving your new "Kembara" btw.

Even with big steering wheel, I can't see the full view of the speedometer. A pillar was too thick, blocking my sight when I want to exit any corner. I hate the rear exterior design. It's a 7 seater but only 2 airbags?
Forgot about the media system. It needs a lot of steps just to change the volume for passengers 😂
does it really drive like a boat? For me I feel like the body roll is not that bad... but I only drove Innova, Wira and Waja before so I can't really tell...
Garmz666 i agree with u coz i own aruz
driving innova basically driving hilux with 7 seater
15:30 ALZA VS SIENTA ROUND 1
why you compare with toyota sienta???isn't sienta mpv car, right???the other cars is suv car
Can I know what are the actual differences between Aruz and Rush for 20k?
Wow best video to date!!!!
Tolong buat video Axia 2023 naik Genting penuh 5 penumpang
did you seriously bought the rush and the terios? woah.
I know this is a bit odd but i see you guys filming while refuelling the car at petrol station. Isnt it dangerous to do that just like our KBS did same thing as well?
But the 95 Pro Drive that Petronas introduce on is quite good with the quality and function is improvement version from previous one.
sienta is the most expensive.. last time they did come with 2 spec V spec and G spec and price increase because of new SST 2.0 kick in.. last time it price around rm97k, now its rm101k for full spec..
Unjustified to say sienta 3rd row worst. It is the best 3rd row in fact for adults. He forgot the leg support and arch below 2nd row.
I love my Sienta!
@@fleurdewin7958
well, there's a reason why 7 speed ratio useful here especially when going downhill, you need to slow down the vehicle not only using brake, engine braking also can be use.. and this is where its useful, the different gear selection can be use depend on what speed your car, if slower means can use lower gear, if you wanna go faster a bit while downhill so just up shift the gear..
eventho its just a virtual ratio, still you can make it fix at one ratio to maintain your car speed during downhill or uphill..
if normal CVT with no selection but have L gear, you can only use at one fix gear ratio during uphill or downhill..
Is that Sienta the old version? Last time i test drive a Sienta, it have the biggest and super cozy armrest you can find in an MPV
And both are perodua.. means a good reliability, rs value, and toyota
Honda freed?
damn u guys ! , now I'm totally 50-50 either Perodua or Honda !!!
Let $$$ be the decider
With rebate given by Honda..they are basically the same price
I think, better get the aruz because the platform is newer and safety equipments are better.
Eventhough BRV a bit expensive, but still has a name HONDA. And check maintenance cost for both. Recently paultan said BRV maintenance is cheaper for long term.
@@MuhdIqbal Aruz platform is actually old school or older. But its by far safer.
harvinder at the last part cracked me up so much ahahahahahah
Coz i found that it is almost the same like the advanza a bit...
paul tan, if aruz 0-100 is 16sec...how about ertiga auto?
Top selling point of sienta is the sliding doors👍
guys please make comparison between honda city vs toyota vios vs mazda 2 !
So, money aside, brv is the winner then..?
Waited a week for this...awesome guys...❤❤❤❤❤
dude why your figure for aruz here is different than in carbase.my? for example, in carbase, aruz has 104hp and 136Nm but has lesser numbers here..dafuq??? sienta and brv is the same tho..
Great that i made the right choice - a proud owner of aruz. First time bot a car without even testing it.
great production team... not boring!
Doesn't Ertiga is competitor of BR-V and Rush at Indonesia? Why not compare it with?
no ESC
Aruz priority to safety, family and daily life city car and sell cheap compare to Rush. Not that bad at all.
I think you guys should look at the price before tax first, it is more expensive in honda and sienna because it is more taxed as made in indonesia or japan and etc ....take away all the tax first, compare apple and apple..
which is more car like?...it is honda BRV. the other two...hmmmph...
That PA guy look hilarious, awesome episode
Hmm can we use the Aruz as a GrabCar??
I think it can too, and if you using 95 Pro Drive is useful for you that drive Grab it will more save petrol and powerful for running different area.
