i have this exact variant (and color!) and I must say, no regrets and I'm growing to love it even more the more we use it. I bought itnas a family car and I was willing to pay for the extra over the S variant because I don't really do much customization and prefer to use just the stock with some accessories so the upgrade in details made sense for me. The power and fuel efficiency is amazing. We've driven it in those steep bumpy side roads in tagaytay with full capacity (7 medium to heavy adults) and it was no problem. The size is perfect for both experienced and new drivers. Unpopular but I also love that it still has the traditional hand break over the electronic one. I was ok with not having honda sensing since my brother wasn't keen on using it and I'm a newbie driver so I prefer to get familiar with a more simple set-up. Lastly, it's a honda- reliable and has a high resale value in case you decide to let go of it in the future. The look of the car is also very neat and classy, it won't look dated even after many years. Ofcourse taste is subjective, but this one just ticks all the boxes. I'm no car enthusiast, this is the first car I've purchased and no buyer remorse at all. A very happy amd satisfied owner here!
Went to pick brv V after watching this and happy owning this for more than 6months now. Matipid, sobrang gaan, napaka dali i maniobra and comfortable. My wife even prefers to drive this versus our sedan. 😅😅 thanks for this review autodeal. I trusted your reviews and now enjoys driving both cars.
Bought the S variant and been using it for about 2 months now. At the time I bought the car, I didn’t see the value to add much more money for the higher variants and so far I feel like I made the right choice. The car is great. Power is great for a car of its segment. But definitely you can feel the difference when the car’s loaded and when I am driving alone. I feel like the car while is a 7 seater, optimal for a family of 4-5 only. Fuel efficiency is great too. Apple carplay is pretty clunky at times, but generally is responsive. Only wish they made the apple carplay work wirelessly. Ground clearance is superb. I have a pretty high elevation garage but the car breezes through it. Exterior, I feel like the car’s decent on its own. Design is super simple, but for sure is an upgrade from its predecessor’s old look. All in all I think if you are looking to buy a car within this segment, just go and buy the S variant unless you’re really into the Honda sensing. The S variant is a bang for your buck.
Definitely a 5 seater with a bigger cargo room. If city drive lang I guess okay Iang mag 7 person, pero for long drives mas comfortable na 4-5 lang + cargo
I also have the S variant. Tanong ko lang sir, naexperience mo na bang may tumutunog kapag ginalaw mo yung steering wheel kapag nakahinto? like a "tok" sound? not sure if i already have to bring it to the casa.

I’d have to go with jack regarding the rear end. It just feels like there is something missing back there. Comparing it to its brother the WR-V, that one actually looks better imo.
Great job by Honda for addressing the previous BR-V's only issue which is an ugly side profile, new model looks great, however, I do agree with sir Jack, the rear looks kinda bland!
This review is as precise as it could be. Love the bit where Caco emphasized that even with the BRV's "class-leading" power, it STILL would feel any added weight into the vehicle unlike some people would say otherwise due to its "highest HP and torque". As also observed when I got to drive one in the exact same variant, NVH levels weren't also noteworthy and so is comfort. Not to say it is a bad choice, far from it given that this is still a Honda and you can never go wrong with one especially with the balanced styling and sufficient interior space & tech, tho not as sensible as other subcompact MPVs. So really, just go straight to the S CVT variant if you really want the BRV given none of the higher variants are more refined nor comfortable unless you have almost 1.4M to go for the adaptive cruise control equipped VX.
Caco has been complaining being in the driver seat of the new brv since that media drive to baguio. Something to take note of. Masyado mabait si Caco sa review kahit disappointing for that price ang naging impression nya. Honda is a Honda na lang siguro panlaban ng brv kung ganon which is madalas din na sagot ng owners pag tinanong bakt pipiliin ang brv over others in the same class.
Sorry... Jack is right, the back is too simple. It's out of sync with the styling of the rest of the car and even a simple chrome strip (which would be 'in style' with the front) would help. Failing that... I'd invest in some after market chrome tail light surrounds.
Bought the VX last year, no regrets. Can do uphill climbs of close to 35 degree incline confidently even when loaded with 7 heavy adults and a stop in the middle due to a passing dog. Can even give me the need for speed easily, just dont expect power to rival todays turbo diesel SUVs. Wish it has more cup holders and the built in charging port in the second and third row, oh and a spoiler too would be nice
I Bought the S Variant, for 150k less than the V its the more sensible choice. If only the VX does have low speed follow with its cruise control and 360 degree camera that would be the best.

Hmm, Honda's are always reliable and dependable, but I've always felt the style is for people who have reached retirement age 65+ like in the UK, they need a car they can put the grand kids in with a few toys to keep them happy with and won't it let them down. Hi, Sir Caco! Weird request. Can you rate the following based on their respective drive handling and suspension? Disregard the number of seats. Thanks in advance! Honda City RS Honda HR-V S Honda BR-V VX
Inflation has turned once great value honda family cars to luxury ones and that will make it not sell as good as competitors. The avanza/veloz/rush/ertiga/xpander will be more sought after due to lower overall cost, not even its honda name can save the br-v and it might just sell slightly above the hr-v. Many people hold 1million pesos as a threshold, some can go slightly to 1.1m but anything higher than that is rich people range only, upper mid class and middle class are very thrift that they will even buy chinese brands to save a few hundred thou. If honda wants to get larger market share of the Pinoy MPV class, they should offer a sub 1m 7 seater with decent comfort features, again chinese brands are offering top of the line specs for mid class price. The new BR-V is a great just just badly priced. I'm a Honda CR-V super fan but if I am to buy a family mpv in 2023, i would opt for the Toyota Rush.
Just bought the V variant, bakit ganon kahit naka off ung light switch naka open padin yung ilaw sa head ng kotse. I think parking lights tawag don. I drove kase a toyota vios and kapag off yung switch wala talagang ilaw.
It's Daytime Running Lights (DRL) po ata iyon, and naka-configure na talagang laging naka-bukas yun kasi it's for safety purposes na mas madaling makikita ng iba yung vehicle even in broad daylight. Pwede lang siya ma-off kapag naka-parking gear yung sasakyan at i-toggle off yung switch, pero once na mag-shift gear ka, it will turn on once again.
I Love the 45Degree knee, and a 90degree for both legs. hahaha,, very nice review sir, very informative no hidden (not bias). thank you and more power.
I don't know if it's a valid enough reason but I'm leaning towards this over the xpander mainly because I feel a cvt would be more economical vs a 4 speed automatic.
😂😂what a joke!! Kahit pisonet mo mahal padin ng cost .
Awesome inshaAllah one day i have this car Aameen
Caco's been hitting the gym lately 😂😂😂 0:03
Just bought the V variant, bakit ganon kahit naka off ung light switch naka open padin yung ilaw sa head ng kotse. I think parking lights tawag don. I drove kase a toyota vios and kapag off yung switch wala talagang ilaw.
It's Daytime Running Lights (DRL) po ata iyon, and naka-configure na talagang laging naka-bukas yun kasi it's for safety purposes na mas madaling makikita ng iba yung vehicle even in broad daylight. Pwede lang siya ma-off kapag naka-parking gear yung sasakyan at i-toggle off yung switch, pero once na mag-shift gear ka, it will turn on once again.
@@troy5568 kahit naka toggle off yung switch sir at naka parking gear may ilaw padin.
@@troy5568yes same din ng mga ngayon DRL din
I knew it when I hear the speeding part "Roooll the cliiippp!!!" 😂

IKK DUDEE HAHAHAHAHA
@@turtle6700BMW X5. If i remember it right
Gets him every time 😂😂😂😂😂
jack is right.. a right angle is 90degrees...
your leg angle is 90
if you squat, that's 45 or less
Jack is right.. that rear end is as vanilla as vanilla can be
There's also no paddle shifters with the V variant. Not a deal breaker tho
For me, the Best Color for Honda BRV, a Silver Metallic ....
Totally agree, no regrets in purchasing one, I just can't turn off speed sensing alarm when it gets to 80kph, pls help me out.
What variant? You can turn it off in your steering
I prefer 12v socket than USB port
agree, because you want flexibility using the 12v socket
@@corolla9545 yeah, good luck drawing huge amount of current in that USB😅
Caco is putting in some muscles now. 💪💪💪🔥
Can you compare BRV and Veloz
A soft crease on the back would make it less tupperwary
I wish honda launches this car in india....they r struggling in india...this car could change the game in indian market
The trunk space reminds me of the 2023 Sequoia .
the S cvt is more than enough in my opinion
way better than expander
This or the stargazer?
Stargazer
I Love the 45Degree knee, and a 90degree for both legs. hahaha,, very nice review sir, very informative no hidden (not bias). thank you and more power.
Yeah, and I think Jack is right. The angle of the bend is more like 90 degrees, perhaps somewhere around 80 degrees.😅😅
San nahuli ng speeding?
Comparo of brv and avanza please!!
hmmm seems like sir caco is working out i can see those biceps flexed
I don't know if it's a valid enough reason but I'm leaning towards this over the xpander mainly because I feel a cvt would be more economical vs a 4 speed automatic. Also the xpander exterior is ugly as hell despite having a much better interior layout in terms of space and storage compared the honda.
You are much right than anyone behind the camera otherwise change place with him. Im no afraid of a 6 ft guy. 🤫
I'm gonna get this, soon!
