As weird as this sounds, this particular car has a lot of sentimental value to me. My Mom bought it brand new back in the day. It was the car that I learned how to drive in, the car that earned me my license, as well as got me around back in high school. Really great video, Kyle.
I know this is old but I just bought this exact car last week for $500 from a family friend. Needs some TLC but runs pretty decent, came to see any features I may have missed
I had the 2001 Sentra SE 2.0L version of this car. Fatter tires, stiffer suspension. Still great on gas, but it pretty quick and stable around corners. Absolutely loved the car, wish I still had it. Owned from new for 7 yrs, drove the absolute hell out of it, 130k miles. Unfortunately by 2008 it developed a short in the electrical system I couldn't track down, wouldve cost more than the car was worth to fix it.
impressive car.... love the way it looks. it doesnt look cheap, and its not boring or dull either. cruise control is a good add if you hate driving. and power windows very nice add. and engine seems very responsive. looks as spacious as the same MY corolla. back seat leg room is a little on the tiny side.... but trunk space is very generous. looks better than the corolla. nissan did a great job making this car. the MY `05 sentra seems to have a problem with the blown head gasket....
its funny how your short takes are still more in depth than other car reviews... you'd be surprised how many reviewers completely disregard the rear seats and trunk shots
ha!!!! i was right saabkyle94,you cover everything, yesterday was the $3.5 million dollar Lotec C1000 , today its a $3.500 nissan basic transportation ,BUT the best part is that you do cover them all equal !!!!! NOW THATS AWESOME !!
i'm out of breath from watching that 1000th video and now ive seen his peak in his UA-cam career lets see how this goes......(.hint hint.)..... (helicopters, trains, planes)
@SinclairisCool You have a point, yet consider that it has an automatic, which cause performance penalty. FYI I used to have an import car in the late eighties with 1.6L engine, and a 3sp auto. While it was OK around town, on the highway it buzzed annoyingly at around 3700-3800 RPM. Its successor was a car w.2.4L and 4sp. auto which in comparison made me felt like I had a speedy and luxurious transportation.
@saabkyle04 I guess you also choose to make short takes of cars that are not that special, i mean, making a short take on a fully loaded Audi A8 and still fitting all the gizmos in a 5 minute shot is kinda hard i guess, but you should try it, just to see if you can do it hehe ;) nice video as always kyle. / Niclas from sweden.
MJ FTW! That is a clean Nissan, must have been an elderly person that had it, or someone that knows how to maintain a vehicle. I like these older Nissan's, they were just a higher quality than the new ones, and fit and finish was incredible. But Nissan starts to slack when they build them almost entirely in the US. Need to spend some money and use nice materials.
@saabkyle04 oh ok thank you didnt realize it thanks for replying back fast appreciate it ! btw can you do a 97 98 99 toyota camry if u find one and 2003 nissan sentra se-r? and 98-00 honda accord coupe with leather the v6 one? i would like to see you video on it thx man!
Don't mean to knock you saab, but I'm shopping with these as one of my options, and your review wasn't helpful in the least. I like to know what's underneath. At a dealer I'll play with all of the bells and whistles and figure them out but what I can't figure out with out investing a fair amount of time is what you can see on a hoist. This one just wasn't in depth enough to be worth watching., for me that is.
I drove one of these to death 170K miles over 8 years. Could've taken better care of it over the years... ignoring the catalytic converter engine warning error led to overheating which ultimately caused likely head gasket failure and unfixable engine problems for a car with that mileage. Oh well better luck next time don't ignore the check engine light.
Speedysnail9999 i had mines new with like 3k miles and it last me like 11 years till engine started to mess up now i replaced it and hopefully it last me another 10 years lol
After owning both 1.8 and 2.5 liter models i could honestly say my little 1.8 was pretty reliable the qr25de has a bit of issues but you gotta love the torque
I have the same car but 5 spd. Its slow, not as efficient as a Honda or Toyota small sedan. Nice folding down option witht the back seats. Stereos ok ... Kindah lame. I paid 3 grand for mine with 120000 kms on it.... Handles not too bad, but not as sharp as a civic would.

Me too lol my first car. About to get another one
I recently purchased the same exact model 2003 nissan sentra ! With only 53,000 miles , i am beyond excited for this find
I have a 2005 sentra that my family owned since new! The qg18de has pretty good torque too. Mine has 192,000 miles and is still going strong!

I have this car the same color too, its very economic in gas and it takes me from point A to B with no problems every day. Mine is 2001 though

the 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra was assembled in

somebody at Nissan did their best on this car. nto only does it perform well, it also looks and sounds well.
I got this car for an early Christmas gift in silver. Been modding it, very nice!
Nice and well kept little car w/ good gas mileage. Sorry I missed this when you first posted. Kyle, your work is great, keep on keeping on.
The front end is kinda good-looking, but the rear...OMG!
the transmission on the 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra
Transmission
5-speed manual
6-speed manual
4-speed RE4F03B automatic (1.8L, 2.0L)l
4-speed RE4F03A automatic (2.5L)
This is extremely clean; it honestly looks brand new. I wish it was a 5spd though.
i saw this car on all city's website, it didnt have a video for it but i guess now it does!
thumbs up, another great review!
That's Kyle for you. He sees the good in any kind of car, cheap or expensive.
Just bought the exact same car yesterday... So far so good.. Just for getting back and fourth to school. I'd take Japanese over American any day
Krazy Shady actually Japanese is American. ... True.
5 years later, wondering if you still have it?

@newandused1998 he did. the only difference is that the one he had was a 5 speed manual
i can't fit in that car i was gonna buy one but it was too small. i know that engine under the hood is very reliable.
1:04 I like that horn
How do you get the carpets to look like that zig zag line way? Like grass haha?
@saabkyle04 I guess you also choose to make short takes of cars that are not that special, i mean, making a short take on a fully loaded Audi A8 and still fitting all the gizmos in a 5 minute shot is kinda hard i guess, but you should try it, just to see if you can do it hehe ;) nice video as always kyle. / Niclas from sweden.

Hi, may I know how much did you sell this car for?
Thank you. Martin
It's not actually his to sell. Lol. He just did a video of it.
But I saw it on the website before it sold and it was listed at $7,000 :)
+BluetheWolfPuppy AJ woah. $7,000? That's really high. I'd pay $5,000 for this
Speedysnail9999 Yeah, dealerships have mark-ups, especially the small car dealers or atleast thats how it happens where I live. lol
