It's important to use surfactant on the denture teeth during flasking, and then smearing the gold dental stone into the grooves and junctions of the teeth as to not leave voids in the flask. I also like to use White stone in the first and last portion of the flask; to give contrast to the gold stone surrounding the denture and facilitate in deflasking
I just brought a dental flask and press like this but the inside of flasks are rough not smooth like the outside of flask, so I am worried it's not gonna work so well as the stone will stick to the rough surface.......am I worrying unnecessarily!?!
@@dr.deepanshuchakraborty sir I did a mistake , after dewaxing I opened the flask , then I found that plaster of paris is not set . What should I do now sir 😭😭😭
I won't tear this video apart too much, but how long would this process take, from invest/boil out/pack? My standard would be about 20 minutes total. Also, on the second layer of flasking, only the occlusal surface should be exposed from the plaster/stone to help protect the teeth, with a gradual slope to the top of the second layer of the flask, and consider using a break out press to properly remove the invested denture from the flask, much safer than hacking away at the stone with a knife and hammer (cringe).
i did this for 35 years at a add office, way faster then this, wheres the plasternippers?, also he packed it way too soft..looked like lucitone 199, got to pack hard..

When doing the packing process, we do not wish that after processing the denture has the investing material adhered to the surface, and for this purpose a separating medium is used. Various media can be used of which the most popular is Sodium alginate
That would be due to the impression or when fitting denture your trimming to much off the denture it’s self, for a tip try duplicating master model before finish then fit back to model 👍

The roof of denture makes your gum to secret a salty sticky solution just like an inflammatory response to a foreign body. Dentures are not real teeth, they are made up of acrylic substances. As a result , no matter how many times a day you clean it with water, it will start to make a foul smell in your mouth - very bad smell. People thinks that it is because of the bacteria and food particles accumulated in it, but that is not entirely TRUE whereas the substance used to make the roof of your gum is a foreign body that get in contact with sensible part of your gum, causing inflammatory response. Furthermore, the interaction with saliva, food particles and the pathogens make it very worse. So dentures should not be recommended to anyone as it is a reservoir for pathogens to multiply in your mouth and make you ill and damage your gum further. The pathogens can travel from your mouth to your lungs and make it even more worse. You will find yourself vulnerable with recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, after a period of wearing dentures. That is why most people who own denture are not happy with it and we need to find out a better solution to protect our elderly people as well the one who lose teeth for different reasons. Implant is also not a good remedy as it can ruin your health and make you ill.

I tried using this technique but every now and then i was getting pink teeth and sometimes bubbles in the acrylic. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid this problem? Thanks!
Pink teeth? Like the teeth shifted in the boil out and weren't secured prior to packing? If so you should do a cursory check to make sure all teeth are secured and if not a small dab of super glue on the cusps to hold it in place. In my experience this happened usually from wax residue on the teeth or the tooth had to be ground so low to fit the patient's bite. Bubbles in the acrylic like air pockets or porosity from improperly mixed acrylic?
@@deadweight2049 I would get a very thin acrylic film around the teeth. And yes but these bubbles would be huge, the denture would look like Swiss cheese.
Make sure there is no wax on the surface of the denture teeth, prior to investing. Use a robinson brush, in a handpiece to clean the teeth surfaces of wax and wipe them with wax remover. This is the only way to be certain they are clean, otherwise you get pink acrylic on them.
I really enjoyed watching how clean and efficient you did it. Great video, thank you.
