- The Pride Sportfishing out of Seaforth landing always coming through and putting us on the meat! Thank you Jason and crew for another epic trip, great time, and more great memories! By far the best day of fishing for Bluefin tuna that I have ever had! Still on the hunt to stick or even just see a triple digit. Hopefully I can check that off the list soon.
Also a big thank you to Danny for always putting together an amazing group of people to make such great memories with. I know as a charter master, you go through the headaches, and I just want you to know we do not take it for granted. Really appreciate all that you've done for us Danny, thank you.

Nice video.
Thanks man
Homie thumbing the spool making me nervous
It was the only think I could do. The drag wasn’t working.
That green reel looks awesome---what kind is it please👍
Okuma makira 10II
Left San Diego about 30 years ago. Love the fact that Eeka Mouse and Gregory Isaac still bumpin on the radio. Sick video brada🔥🔥🔥
Al’s Gone Fishing hell yeah thanks man! Much appreciated
Okuma makiria SE ? Beast reel
So much power on that little reel!
This is why I love this channel so much videos are always quality but that’s not even the best part it always feels like I’m on that boat vibing with everyone and you being able to capture that is crazy 👍🏽 great vid as always
Thanks so much! Love all the kind words. Yeah the great vibes is why I’ve started swaying away from the open party trips tbh. Chartered trips with everyone you know and have formed a friendship with, makes for a lot more fun time on the water!
Such a mellow video
Hunter Stull mellow, but full of action
Been rewatching a lot of your vids to get hyped for this season. Seeing it again reminds how sick your vids are! My dad and I are thinking about going for a 1.5 day to get in on some bft. Any tips or thoughts? I have a avet mxl and mxj 5.8, would these be enough for the bft we're seeing now in your opinion?
I’m not super familiar with the Avet sizes. Are those the smaller models? Or how much line of what lb test do you have them spool up with?
@@Dirty.Hookers Yeah its the smaller ones, it holds about 400 yards of 50 lb braid, 14lb drag, single speed reel.
@@victor_clark if you have 400 yards of line on it, you should be fine.
Never hurts to have at least 1 big rod and reel though when going bluefin fishing. Most of the fish being caught rn are in the 50-60 lb range, but every once in awhile someone will hook a giant
@@Dirty.Hookers Awesome! thnx for the info! Sry for bothering u, u just seemed very knowledgeable haha Tight lines!
@@Dirty.Hookers Awesome thx for the advice!
Nice work on these two videos, Ray. 👍👍
Thanks man! Still wanted to put them together as a 1 hour video tbh, but I figured I’d do it this way for those who don’t wanna watch anything too long
Awesome videos of the 2 day trip. I can't wait for this weekend trip to share the rail with you guy's and slay them 🤙🏼
Hell yeah brotha! Sorry about the late reply. Been really busy till after this weekend.
It was awesome meeting you man! Great time on the water this past weekend
@@Dirty.Hookers it was awesome finally meeting you. Hopefully next season will do it again 🤙🏼
@@izzydlc21 hell yeah definitely will have to link back up in the future
Good stuff as always bro. Feel like I learn something every time! Congrats on all those bigs my friend 🤙🏽
Tim Atia thanks brotha! Always stoked to see your comments. Long loyal supporter👊
Light tackle awards in this video goes to the man with a Certate 5000, landing a bft which must've weighed almost 50lbs. Congrats (Sam?) And congrats to those who somehow made an ice fishing rod paired up with a BG 6500 work! you guys had fun, and I'm jealous right about now !
Justin M JaM Surf n Sponge hahaha we are just out there messing around and having fun! The ice rod had a 4500 paired with it, I was gonna do a 5000 but that size is just too big lol.
Yeah sam killed it on his little spinners! Definitely don’t recommend it lol but he gets it done
How big is the pb you caught
40lbs I think. Didn’t weigh it
You can use 10 lbs of drag with 30# leader, a third of the leader, and set your reels with a scale at strike. Mark the preset knob with a sharpie so you’ll know if it got moved. Nice video congrats on your PB
Thanks for the tip man I’ll probably do that from here on!
And thanks I’m stoked. Gotta try and chase the triple digits next season
@@Dirty.Hookers i feel you, all I’ve been getting this season is those 40 lb units. Going on another 2.5 day on the Outrider tomorrow my fingers are crossed!
@@ilikedirtx22 how’d you do out there man!? Saw good counts over the weekend
@@Dirty.Hookers yea we got limits along with most of the boats that went out this weekend, I landed 5 bft two were 40lbs and the other 3 were 25 lbs. We flew the kite the first day for nothing. We were chasing down foamers and deploying the kite straight in the middle and they wouldn’t bite. The next day we went to tanner/Cortez bank and got limits on the smaller models. It was a fun trip, got the bft on 25# yo zuri pink and a Mustad ultra point live bait hook size 2
@@ilikedirtx22 sounds like an epic time man hell yeah! Bummer none of the jumbos wanted to bite the kite, but even just seeing them blow up had to be incredible! I’ve never seen a big tuna in the water so I’m dying just to see those big ones get airborne and blow up
I came for the ice rod 🤣 be back next week 🤙🏾
pertis catch'em lester lol you’ll see it probably tomorrow
What lb line and top shot?
Fly line we were fishing 20-30 lb top shot to matching flouro carbon. And sinker rigs was 40-60lb with matching flouro carbon
What nomad lure did your buddy Danny use at the very end of the video?? Man I l loved every second of this video!! Super stoked for my over night next weekend in the Old Glory
I’m not sure what the nomad was called, but it’s the one that looks like a flat fall with the chrome and glow stripes.
You better post that Ice Rod fight! I first saw that and was WTF😂😂😂😂
Todd Sharp Lol the full ice rod video will be up either tomorrow or the following day
Fucking EPICCCCCCNESSS
I hate the Cavalla's along with other small Okumas. They all have let me down in the past. The drag system needs to be fixed.
Hector's Custom Rods I’m sorry to hear that. I know the metaloids were said to have issues, but so far I really like my cavalla
Nice video, how much does the trip cost and what part does it go
Thank! Not sure how much their open party trips run. This was a chartered trip.
Launches out of seaforth Landing in San Diego
Nice video. Is that a calstar gg 6480 on your sinker rig?
I think, but I’m not 100% sure tbh.
I wrapped that rod 6 years ago before I even knew anything about sport boat fishing. And I can’t remember for the life of me what blank it is. I know it’s a calstar and I know it’s rated 30-60 and that’s all I can remember lol
@@Dirty.Hookers haha thanks!
How many bluefin you can take home for 2 days?
A 2 days limit, so a total of 4 bluefin.
Could you check out the savage gear browser swimbait casting rod in xxheavy. It is 5-12 ounces and is only $129 20-40lb test. Buy from tackle warehouse
Love your vids. Btw I’m 12. Do you think that fed hall will still happen this year even with COVID n stuff?
probably not :(. my college just announced that spring classes are gonna be online haha
P.J. Walker thanks for the support man!
And I hate to say it, but I don’t think fred hall will be happening in 2021 unfortunately. Really bummed about it
Awh that’s a bummer.
Did something happen to the Cavalla or did you just hook godzilla?
Andrew Belandres for some reason the drag was backed off. Not sure if I accidentally turned the drag knob back or what happened, but after I reeled in my like and reset my drag it was perfectly fine
@@Dirty.Hookers interesting. Well glad it wasn't your one and only bite all day. Lol. That would have been brutal.
Andrew Belandres yeah that definitely would’ve sucked lol. Was definitely a good day of fishing so I had no problem breaking it off. I knew it had to be done
sick video man , can i meet you
I see you everyday at work?
@5:31 when you realize that bass rods don’t handle real fish.
It was an ice fishing rod lol, but there is an entire video of this trip using just that 20” ice rod
What kind of reel was the first one you hooked up on and do you recommend it ?
Okuma cavalla 5n. I like it a lot. Pretty put that thing to work this season. Okuma discontinued the metaloid and replaced it with the cavalla so it’s basically just an updated version of the metaloid.
@@Dirty.Hookers thanks for the information I've been wanting to get a good setup for off shore but still haven't got a lot of research
@@enriquevazquez7886 my best advise is next time your out on a boat or at a tackle shop, just ask what they like to use on the water and pick the brains of others. The more knowledge you can soak in, the more you’ll understand what you might want in your personal inventory
What reel was that that got owned- silver one? Looks like a speed master?
Cavalla 5ii
ultimatejay silver one was a cavalla 5lln
@@Dirty.Hookers did the Cavalla fail or you just hook something giant?
The Cavalla got smoked.
Andrew Belandres I think somehow the drag knob got turned back a few clicks because after I reeled in and reset the drag it was totally fine
What rod is that on the Makaira?
These party boats look like such shitshow. Literally lines on top of each other everywhere.
D M not all of us have the privilege of a owning or knowing someone who own a sport boat. We do what we need to do to get on the water. Tangled or no tangles, it’s always an amazing time fishing with friends and doing what we love
@@Dirty.Hookers Not a knock on people going on party boats, you make do with prevalent resources. It was an observation that someone who would be frustrated by the lack of awareness of others would have.
@@Gmark25 it can definitely get annoying at times with with people who don’t know to follow their line. Usually we charter out the boat, and doing so we can choose who comes. Usually keeps the number of people lower and a little more experienced people on board, so there’s less issues
