one of my favorite players of all time - humble guy on a bad team for years and still always gave his all every sunday. i got to meet him after his last home game as a ram years ago and it truly was an honor
Steven Jackson: easily one of the most underrated RBs of all time and one of my favorites. This guy ran so hard and showed up every day to play even on a shitty team. Could only imagine what we could have done on a good franchise! One of the GOATs for sure
probably more than that, nfl defenses are so soft these days other than aaron donald and that would suck because they’d be on the same team making jackson unstoppable
jacob alterman He was the epitome of consistency until age caught up with him and even then he was still the best offensive player on the rams. He ain't first ballot but he is hof
he was the second best RB of the 2000's and my favourite RB at the time he should be a HOF'er no matter how bad the Rams were he's I think had the 2nd most RAC in the NFL since 2000
Growing up in st.louis it kinda sucked that the rams never went to the playoffs when I started watching football, but Steven Jackson always made me tune in every rams game💯dude was a beast
I got to watch this man play his entire tenure in St. Louis. Attended every game not for the Rams, but to watch him play. One of the GREATEST players to ever put on a Rams uniform...and I plan to personally be in Canton, Ohio whenever he gets inducted...eight consecutive 1000 yard seasons is a feat no running back anytime soon will match or beat.
I've been a rams fan since I was 9years old I've seen Marshall Faulk Todd gurley but Steven jackson is my favorite running back, just because he was the only bright spots for years I remember that lions game we where gonna be 0-16 that year but he put the whole team on his back and won that game for us.... Thank you mr SJ39
My all-time favorite play of SJax39 will never show up on a highlight reel. It was a blowout game against the Cardinals (no surprise) in the midst of a lost season (again, sadly no surprise) and Bulger threw a pick. Everyone else did the "Run three steps and coast" thing you do when you just don't want to give the effort anymore. But Jackson ran that corner down from behind. And with that play, I saw heart and passion and will in every play he was in from that point forward. It was always there, but seeing him be the one who cared when there was no reason made it more obvious every time he was on the field.
8:32 is maybe the most conlusive "truck" of a defender ever put on film. dude was ready, coming in low for the hit, and just got displaced like he was hit by a car.
If Predator ever was a running back in their world, we know how it would look. SJ is a freight train with speed. Loved watching him run thru defenses when i was a teen.
After the Greatest Show on Turf Jackson was THE Ram. The only LIGHT of hope from a darks seasons of St Louis THANK YOU STEVEN JACKSON FOR NEVER GIVING UP ON THE RAMS A true professional football player
When I think of Derrick Henry, Steven Jackson is who comes to mind. As a diehard Seahawks fan I loved watching Steven Jackson play, just not against the Hawks.
St. Louis Rams franchise records Most career rushing yards (10,138) Only Rams player to record 150 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in same game (December 24, 2006 against the Washington Redskins) NFL records Most consecutive seasons with 4+ rushing touchdowns (11) - tied with Emmitt Smith Most consecutive seasons with a 40+ yard run (11) Most consecutive touches without a fumble (unofficial) - (870) from November 13, 2011 through end of career. Only player with 1,400 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving in a single season (2006)
As much as I love seeing great running plays, I love seeing receivers running down the field and continuing blocking even more. Everyone doing their job.
He's my all time favorite player mostly because I grew up watching him as a kid. Fortunate to see him play in a couple of games and his jersey was my first jersey.
I’ll never forget how dominate Stephen Jackson was. Dude deserved to play for a better team and win at least one title. He was the original beast mode 💪
I was at the game where he stood up P. Willis at SF on that 3rd & long. Dude was the ultimate work horse and HUUGE irl! Still my favorite Ram of all time.
What's more interesting is watching the score line at the bottom of other games. Seeing a game at 56 NYJ 32 AZ and thinking "how the hell did that happen?"
Nahhh your just a kid lol, I grew up watching this dude an he was most definitely elite, he was 99ovr a few times I madden back in the day. Don’t even call yourself a fan of the spot if you didn’t who he was cuz he literally put the rams on his back in the 2000’s
I think Steven Jackson would have been in the "one of the great running backs" conversation more often if he didn't play on such a poor Rams squad during his prime. His stats were already great as they stand now. Only would have been better on a competitive team. Definitely underrated as a running back, and one of the best North/south style of runners in the league.
that's only because he carried the Rams on his back for so long. it sad that he came in to the league and with the Rams right when the greatest show on turf era ended. when you're on a shittiest team that win less and less each year, you would have 8 straight 1000 yard seasons too.
I know sean taylor is a sacred name nobody talks bad about and i respect but he was too scared to make the tackle @ 2:11 he could have kept running foward and made the tackle but i get it Steven Jackson was huge!
If you think about it, he was Derek Henry before Derrick Henry. He's just a inch shorter. 7 lb lighter. They both are fast for their size and they both look like The incredible hulk😂
SJ39 is and always will be my favorite RB of all time. The man is just so criminally underrated it’s ridiculous! If it weren’t for the fact he played on such a trash Rams team he’d be an easy selection for HOF! Dude was an absolute tank!
One of the greatest Rams in team history. Sacrificed his body for that team and got nothing to show for it. As a Rams fan, I was glad when he got to go to ATL because I thought he'd have a chance at getting a ring (obviously didn't work out). The man deserved more.
He played on some awful Rams teams from the mid to late 2000s and he ran hard and fast. He reminds me of a train when he runs, just speed and power. He is very underrated.
I thought I was the only 1 that thought Steven Jackson was an all time great. Just the effort and heart he played with. He treated every carry like it would be his last
Had around 7 or 8 straight years of 1000 yards rushing on the shitty rams. One of the most underrated rbs ever
That is exactly what I think!!!!!!!! Finally!
splashbros30&11 is cus his team they never tried to actually build around him smh
Ya
splashbros30&11 I
Same way i felt with frank gore on a shitty 49ers squad in the mid 2000s. he had 4 straight 1000 yrd seasons.
Rams had a terrible o-line those years too, Steven was a work horse
Imagine if they had the cowboys o line
Confused Doggo Jackson would get 2000 yards
He ran into stacked boxes 97% of the time and it didnt matter. Thatd how you can tell a legit elite top rb from a rb with an elite line
@@confuseddoggo6208 HOF
Still managed 2300 yards from scrimmage in 2006. Unbelievable.
one of my favorite players of all time - humble guy on a bad team for years and still always gave his all every sunday. i got to meet him after his last home game as a ram years ago and it truly was an honor
That's awesome man wish we got him that ring here in NE, one of the best Rb's I've seen play
He was the beastmode before beastmode
Tonydragonable Machine.
Rowdy Jr. Slow your role saying Zeke 😂
Marion Barber was
Him along with Marion barber
John Doe Jr. finally someone agrees with me. Barber was THE original beast mode
Steven Jackson: easily one of the most underrated RBs of all time and one of my favorites. This guy ran so hard and showed up every day to play even on a shitty team. Could only imagine what we could have done on a good franchise! One of the GOATs for sure
Just imagine him on the rams now he would be a potential 2000 yard rusher
probably more than that, nfl defenses are so soft these days other than aaron donald and that would suck because they’d be on the same team making jackson unstoppable
Fo sho I miss him in the backfield
imagine him on the rams NOW
Steven Jackson was a tank! 💥
Should be hall of famer
Confused Doggo I think he will be but it will probably be third ballot or something.
Light Yagami ehhhh maybe. He was very good. HOF is for great players over a long
period of time. He was just very good.
jacob alterman He was the epitome of consistency until age caught up with him and even then he was still the best offensive player on the rams. He ain't first ballot but he is hof
jacob alterman only reason why people like you think he wasn't great because he had to run with no o line and he played during the era of lt
Dude would be a sure fire hall of famer if the Rams weren't hot garbage during his tenure
TYM Beats he was suppose to be a bronco
yep
TYM Beats not just garbage "hot garbage?" Lol
he was the second best RB of the 2000's and my favourite RB at the time he should be a HOF'er no matter how bad the Rams were he's I think had the 2nd most RAC in the NFL since 2000
Hope that isn’t the case with Saqaun
Growing up in st.louis it kinda sucked that the rams never went to the playoffs when I started watching football, but Steven Jackson always made me tune in every rams game💯dude was a beast
Bro during his Era I was a die hard fan during my childhood and teenage years from Chicago watching every play since 2001
THANK YOU STEVEN JACKSON
YOU WERE THE LIGHT DURING THE RAMS DARK YEARS
I got to watch this man play his entire tenure in St.

Hall of famer for sure... one of the greatest runners ever to touch the ball. I just wish he was ona good team.. he was a beast of a RB
Love what the NFL has been doing lately with these honorary videos
He was elite

A lot of you probably never seen him play because you're to young, but he was really underrated. Second best ram running back of all time
Gains by any means necessary faulk & dickerson> jackson
I wasn't too young, I just never heard his name, for some reason.
Gains by any means necessary I had season tickets from 99 to 2010 got to see him play a lot
No Todd gurley is
Are you putting him over Faulk or Dickerson? Cause I can see him being 3rd.
Fun fact Steven Jackson is the all time rams rushing leader
@SRVstiger over faulk and eric dickerson.maybe gurley will pass him one day but RN steven jackson is #1
@@alexrosales7907 Gurley LMAO
Over Dickerson?
@@alexrosales7907 this aged poorly
@@xXSprMgaAwsmFxyHtXx he did have arthritis on his knee when i said this. Injuries change a players history.
Shout out to Jackson great player on bad team... respect beastmode before beast mode
One of the best Rbs of the 2000s. Took over for Faulk and truly became an all time great Ram
That first down on Patrick Willis that game was so good!! Ended in a tie
My Dude! He was the Beast Before beast mode
8:32 is maybe the most conlusive "truck" of a defender ever put on film. dude was ready, coming in low for the hit, and just got displaced like he was hit by a car.
Marshall Faulk was a tough act to follow, but Steven Jackson was a beast in his own right.
Steven Jackson is the best running back in st. Louis and atlanta!!! He's both a ram and a falcon!!! I love Steven Jackson!!! I ❤ #39!!! He's beast!!!
If Predator ever was a running back in their world, we know how it would look. SJ is a freight train with speed. Loved watching him run thru defenses when i was a teen.
He's a Locomotion!! His legs never stop churning!! Absolute Beast!!👹
7:45 him absolutely bullying one of the best linebackers ever for a first down with no helmet was one of the most savage things I’ve ever seen
P willis ? No cap
Most underrated player of all time.
After the Greatest Show on Turf Jackson was THE Ram.
The only LIGHT of hope from a darks seasons of St Louis
THANK YOU STEVEN JACKSON FOR NEVER GIVING UP ON THE RAMS
A true professional football player
You know your early if you get here before the fake player accounts
Maximusman95 the only fake accounts are the cowgirl wannabe players
Your comment < my comment. Leave that W for me
Most underrated RB ever
When I think of Derrick Henry, Steven Jackson is who comes to mind. As a diehard Seahawks fan I loved watching Steven Jackson play, just not against the Hawks.
So sad that he played during the 'lost years'. He was really the ONLY constant in that time. Jackson was great.
Am I the only one who laughed at 1:44 when the dude jumped on the pile😂😂😂
So underrated. 6-2, 240, fast, vicious, never stops, no matter how terrible those Rams teams got.
He compares well with Adrian Peterson. Only slightly slower and less nimble, but bigger and even more powerful.
Steven jackson looked good as both a ram and a falcon!!! He is a beast!!!
If u don't get chills watching this ur not a real football fan this running style is just nasty af Lenard Fornette is the closest to him
St. Louis Rams franchise records
Most career rushing yards (10,138)
Only Rams player to record 150 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in same game (December 24, 2006 against the Washington Redskins)
NFL records

Most consecutive seasons with a 40+ yard run (11)
Most consecutive touches without a fumble (unofficial) - (870) from November 13, 2011 through end of career.
Only player with 1,400 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving in a single season (2006)
some of the rarest combination of speed and power you will ever see. in a vacuum, its hard to find anyone better
As much as I love seeing great running plays, I love seeing receivers running down the field and continuing blocking even more. Everyone doing their job.
Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce had that instilled in them from the greatest show on turf days
8 straight 1000 yard seasons. Dude should be in the Hall.
3:08 he's literally just punching the bengal in the face LMAO
Such a violent run
2:11 He just made Sean Taylor look silly
lol
Pablo Rivas ST was big then so i mean ofc
And at 2:23 with that stiff arm lol
Edit: 3:08 is an even better stiff arm lmfaooo I feel bad for #26
John Doe if they went head up sean would put him on his ass
_Jaydee_ maybe so. But it is pretty unneeded if he can just make him miss
The man needs to be in the Hall of Fame
He's my all time favorite player mostly because I grew up watching him as a kid. Fortunate to see him play in a couple of games and his jersey was my first jersey.
Isaac Bruce was my favorite, but Steven Jackson second followed by Torry Holt
He was like a runaway locomotive 🚂
I’ll never forget how dominate Stephen Jackson was. Dude deserved to play for a better team and win at least one title. He was the original beast mode 💪
def runs with HEART !
I was at the game where he stood up P. Willis at SF on that 3rd & long. Dude was the ultimate work horse and HUUGE irl! Still my favorite Ram of all time.
My favorite player growing up
Steven Jackson for me in madden 16 franchise mode was like beast mode.
Steven Jackson was the original beastmode
This guy was so fun to play with in madden
What's more interesting is watching the score line at the bottom of other games. Seeing a game at 56 NYJ 32 AZ and thinking "how the hell did that happen?"
One of the best RB's of ALL TIME!!!!!
This is a great edit. Had the music but kept the commentary as well. Jackson was such a beast. Very underrated
He had 8 straight 1,000 yard seasons but most people don't even know him.
One of the most underrated & unappreciated backs ever ! Respect 🫡 💯
STEVEN JACKSON 🐐LEGEND
Just got done watching Bo Jackson highlights. I think Jackson was on another level. One of the GOATS.
did anybody else get this recommended when his 98 overall easter card came out in MUT

He would of been one of the best running backs ever if he was on a decent team. IYKYK
Simply insane. The most physical and bruising back ever. He punched that poor Bengals defender multiple times lol at 3:10
I think Steven Jackson would have been in the "one of the great running backs" conversation more often if he didn't play on such a poor Rams squad during his prime.
His stats were already great as they stand now. Only would have been better on a competitive team. Definitely underrated as a running back, and one of the best North/south style of runners in the league.
even sean taylor had trouble tackling this dude
He was on my first fantasy football championship team when I was a young lad, he’s one of the forgotten guys from that era that was a BEAST
I swear people forget how good Steven Jackson was
Underrated running back
All time rams rushing leader enough said
that's only because he carried the Rams on his back for so long. it sad that he came in to the league and with the Rams right when the greatest show on turf era ended. when you're on a shittiest team that win less and less each year, you would have 8 straight 1000 yard seasons too.
Is it just me or does he look like a bigger Marshawn Lynch?
Marshawn is a smaller Jackson
Bigger and better
Dude was at 240 250
MCWave 35. A bigger Marshall Faulk and a smaller Earl Campbell
He was Lynch before Lynch
Growing up here in St Louis this guy was the best!!
8 straight 1,000+ seasons and the Rams best year was 8-8 in that span.
They didn’t deserve Steven Jackson!
I use to draft him every year in fantasy back in mid to late 2000's.....he was definitely very productive and reliable at his position
Vegas boy shout to jack for putting on the city 💯
This guy is beast, i remember him now. Totally forgot bout him. He was in madden 06 or 07
He was money to watch at times!
Bout time you show em some love..the original beast mode haha
I’m not a Rams fan but I strongly believe that Steven Jackson is seriously underrated.
I know sean taylor is a sacred name nobody talks bad about and i respect but he was too scared to make the tackle @ 2:11 he could have kept running foward and made the tackle but i get it Steven Jackson was huge!
He really stiff armed that umpire. Boi is crazy 😂😂

why did we forget about this man. underrated af
One of the most dominant players ever in his position he was a fright train that kept the lights on for the Rams back then

Dude was an absolute tank!
Future hall of famer. Carried the rams while he was there.
He was so strong and balanced. The umpire at 6:21 was like oh Lordy he broke me.
One of the greatest Rams in team history. Sacrificed his body for that team and got nothing to show for it. As a Rams fan, I was glad when he got to go to ATL because I thought he'd have a chance at getting a ring (obviously didn't work out). The man deserved more.
Combination of vision, determination, and strength
SJax deserves 100% to be in the HOF. His numbers are right up there with the best, and he did most of it playing for horrific Rams teams.
He played on some awful Rams teams from the mid to late 2000s and he ran hard and fast. He reminds me of a train when he runs, just speed and power. He is very underrated.
Ahhh SJ39. Always been a great Rams RB, workhorse, and just flat-out fast.
I thought I was the only 1 that thought Steven Jackson was an all time great. Just the effort and heart he played with. He treated every carry like it would be his last
For 8 years he averaged 1183 yards rushing and 392 yards receiving... that’s insane.
6-2 245 and a beast
Just saw his hit mix up vs defense. This man is entertaining!
The best running back on the worst team..... in a stacked division..... smh..... he is a legend!
I remember this guy loved when he played the 49ers! Only way I would watch him
First ballot “Hall of Very Good”. My favorite non ravens player of all time.
Tbh he’s one of those dudes that might make the hall of fame like 30 years from now but definitely not any time soon
So underrated #HOF
